Here's a little Happy Haunting inspiration for you....

"Trick Or Treat"

Other Supplies: White & Black Bazzill Cardstock, Umbrella Crafts Dye Ink in Sunshine, & organza ribbon.

All the happy haunts here! Such a fun layout!
You'll spot that I trim the moon & stars pattern paper (from the Sweater Weather pack) into one inch strips. I connect the strips together to create the appearance of 12 inch paper at both the top and base of my layout design. Such a great way to maximize your six inch papers!

To enhance the spooky starry background, I fussy cut the stars & moon journal card from the October Kit, and add a star die cut or two. I further add to this look with the inclusion of the Puffy Star & Dot Stickers - so cool!
I feature the Halloween Wood Veneer in the top corner of the layout, & coat the OCT 31 in yellow ink. The colored veneer really pops!

I use the same ink to hand color the Trick Or Treat Wood Veneer in the opposite corner at the base of my  page, and add more of those fabulous stars!
Here's a closer look for you....

That title is errrrything!!! Whether you use it on layouts, pocket pages or even cards - the Trick Or Treat Wood Veneer is a must-have!
And when it comes to Halloween, we need a pumpkin or two, right?!

The Jack-O-Lantern novelty veneer is super cute! A perfect embellishment for my two trick or treaters in the photo! (And yes, they sure do love candy!)
The second pumpkin is one which I drew, & cut out from black cardstock. I back it with more of the Sweater Weather 6 x 6 Papers and position my layered photo onto it.

The layers beneath my photo are created with the Autumn Shipping Tags, October Kit, and more of the Sweater Weather papers. Wood Veneer & Autumn Fun Stickers complete the photo cluster, and add that extra BOO! factor.
For finishing touches, I add the Happy Haunting subtitle with the black Jane Alphabet Stickers and fussy cut some bats from my left over one inch pattern paper strips.....

Totally Spook-tacular!!!

I hope I have inspired you to document your Halloween memories with Elle's Studio!
Happy Haunting Friends!

Pinkfresh Studio: Indigo Hills 2 & all the pretty things!!!

Hi Friends!

Time for a little Pinkfresh Studio inspiration, and oh.my.heart!
When the Indigo Hills 2 collection arrived, I had so much difficulty cutting into it!
It's that incredibly beautiful!!!
Such a gorgeous collection to document those special moments with!
And in my case, simply the PERFECT collection for all those divine Ballet photographs of my sweet girl!
I could type for hours about the prettiness of Indigo Hills 2,
but instead let's allow my projects to speak for themselves.....

Here's my first layout,

"Moments Are More Important Than Things"

Sigh! Isn't this divine?!
So dreamy, & delicate!
I was immediately drawn to the softer, muted colors and tones in this line. This tranquil color scheme, partnered with the pretty blooms and ornate frames was just an angelic combination!
So pure, and innocent like my subject in the photograph!
You'll spy the reverse side of pattern paper GORGE as my layout base. I just adore that pretty gray color! I have layered a 10" x 10" sheet of pattern paper, RIDGE (also the reverse side) onto it. To this layer I add a 9" x 9" smooth white cardstock layer,  but before sealing the two papers together, I tuck that DIE CUT EPHEMERA bloom in between these layers on the right hand side. Such a pretty detail!

Next, I frame my photo with that divine CHIPBOARD STICKERS oval frame, and then layer it onto that amazing CHIPBOARD STICKERS wreath. So whimsical!
I tuck a few blooms (DIE CUT EPHEMERA & PUFFY STICKER) beneath the wreath. I foam mount my DIE CUT EPHEMERA title, 'Moments Are More Important Than Things' and layer it over the wreath, so it's resting on the edge of my framed photograph. Really pretty!
I embellish around my photo cluster with more CHIPBOARD STICKERS, GOLD FOILED WOOD STICKERS, and even some ENAMEL DOTS.
I add a subtitle, 'love' which I also mount on foam tape and surround with a few more of the ENAMEL DOTS.

Last, but by no means least, I add my type writer font journaling to the base of my layout & embellish with a final PUFFY STICKER & ENAMEL DOT or, two.

So beautiful!
All the pretty and delicate details on this sweet page!
I hope she'll treasure it for years to come!
My second layout embraces the more sassy, fun & playful side of my sweet dancer.....

"Ballet Besties, Mirror Selfies"

Isn't this beautiful?!!
And with such a different look photo, I was able to draw on the deeper, richer purple & indigo tones of this collection! Purple LOVE!!!
I have opted for the very pretty, HIGHLAND pattern paper as my layout background. The striped triangle detail in this paper is so striking and really caught my eye. With this in mind, I decide to position my photo here to ensure it remains the focus of my page!
Beneath my photograph, I layer pattern paper VALLEY, as well as the reverse side of paper RIDGE, DIE CUT EPHEMERA, PHRASE STICKERS & one of those divine JOURNALING SPOTS with FOIL ACCENTS!
Such awesome layers!!!

I surround this pretty photo cluster with a mix of PUFFY STICKERS, ENAMEL DOTS, CHIPBOARD STICKERS, WOOD STICKERS with FOIL ACCENTS, PHRASE STICKERS & even some gold asterisks from the GOLD PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS. I try to respect the diagonal flow of the striped pattern within this embellishing too.
You'll also notice that I adorn my photo with a PUFFY STICKER sentiment - cute!

My title is created with a mix of both GOLD PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS and purple MINI PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS, and follows the movement of the laurel leaves in the pattern paper. So simple & yet, so effective!

And there you have it!
My first play with the all.the.pretty, Indigo Hills 2, things!!!!
I hope my layouts have inspired you to get creating with this simply stunning collection!

It's time for another awesome Elle's Studio reveal!
And like every month,
this month's kit and add-ons are simply Aaaaaaah-mazing!

Here's what I'm talking 'bout....

August Exclusive Kit

Totally awesome!!!
& to compliment this exclusive kit are some incredible Add-ons....

Acrylics, veneers, puffy stickers, stamps - oh.my.heart! LOVE it all!

And let's not forget the fabulous
Told you it was all awesome!
I know I say this every month, but I just can't get enough of Elle's Studio!!! It's all SO good!

Here's a quick looksee at what I've created with this kit so far.....

Acrylic Mini Album with August Kit & Add-Ons

The new Acrylic Album plus this month's kit were just perfect for documenting our recent family vacation! I just adore the {heart} THIS acrylic on the cover!
Here's a quick flick through of my album featuring lots of our Add-Ons too!

The 6 x 4 cards in the August Kit are the perfect size for the new Acrylic Albums!
& the Jane Alphabet stickers are ideal for personalizing your stories with!

How cool is that memorabilia pocket made from our Noteworthy collection?!
I've filled it with all our keepsake tickets, passes and odds & ends from the trip.
And those veneers!!!
So perfect!
For my USA friends, the Gold Coast is where all the theme parks are in Australia - so it's a dream  holiday destination for our children!
(plus there may have been a relaxing resort for mum & dad too!)

Day 1 & tons of fun spent by the lagoon 'Pool in the Skies'!
The 3 x 4 cards are always so fabulous - it was great to make a feature of them in this mini album!

More of the awesome Jane Alphabet Stickers, August Kit supplies and Noteworthy collection. Loving those super cute Little Photo Flag Stickers!

As my album cover is aqua, I have kept to a cool color scheme for this mini - so lots of blues, greens & purples!

Forgive me, there's a really personal story about the restaurant to go on 'the details' card - so I left it blank for photographing. But how cool is that veneer?!

A few theme park photos for the remainder of this cute album!

Yes, we met Shrek & rode in the garlic bulb carriage! Lol! Such a fun day!

Totally awesome!
Such a fun way to document those holiday snaps!
Hope it inspired you to use your kits for mini albums too!

Next up, I've documented my lil man starting school for the first time....

"First Day"

Oh how adorable! He was SO little (& so excited too!)
With so many Back to School elements in the August kit, this was the perfect opportunity for me to document this milestone moment! Proud Moment, indeed!!!
You'll also spy lots of our awesome Add-On items here including the ABC Wood Veneer, Back to School Acrylic, & even those fabulolus Purple Puffy Alphabet Stickers!
Here's a closer look for you.....

How good is that sentiment? !!
Work hard, be kind, good things will happen
Wonderful words of wisdom that resonate so well with my sweet boy's memories.
You'll see that I tucked the "Back to" part of the Back to School Acrylic beneath my photo, as this worked better for my son's story.

Nothing says 'school' better than ABC's & 1,2,3's!  Love these details!
I mount my Purple Puffy Alphabet Sticker title onto the ABC Wood Veneer for added impact - so cool!

Whether it's back to school or just a school based memory, the August kit has definitely got you covered!

And that's all I can share with you today!
I'll be back on the 13th to showcase more of these fabulous products,
I hope I have inspired you to get creating!

Pinkfresh Studio: July Challenge!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back to the Happy Arty Days blog!

Today I am sharing my take on the new Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge!
Here's what it looks like..............

SO awesome!!!
Rainbow and our new liquid watercolors! Yesssss!

I wanted to create something different with our watercolors for this post & use these paints to stamp with! Pinkfresh Studio have an amazing array of stamps!
I hope you like what I've created....

"Dream A Little Dream"

Oh woweee! I just LOVE how effective this looks!
I have used stamp set Semi Circle Pattern by Inna Moreva, and using the solid semi circle stamp, loosely created those rainbow scallops! I simply diluted our watercolors and painted them directly onto the stamp! To make them stand out a lil more, I then stamped varying semi circle patterns over the scallops in corresponding inks.  Such a cool technique to try!
Here's a closer look......

So.much.gorgeousness!
I have combined Pinkfresh Studio: Be You and Let Your Heart Decide collections to create the remainder of this page! I am in LOVE with the Let Your Heart Decide Alphas!!!
You also notice that I add lots of watercolor splatters to each color row too!

I have used the following Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors for this fun layout,

You can see (& order) ALL the colors HERE.

Here's a few close ups for you......

The color intensity of the Liquid Watercolors is just insane! Such vivid, bright color!

So Beautiful! (Perfect for my two cuties in the pic! ;)  )

And there you have it!
My super fun take on this month's challenge at Pinkfresh Studio!

I hope I have inspired you to play along!
(& maybe try a new technique with our Liquid Watercolors too!)

Pinkfresh Studio: A Case of the Blahs & The Mix No. 2!

Hi Papercrafting Friends!

Welcome back for more Pinkrfesh Studio scrapbook inspiration!
I am super excited to be sharing my May Design Team creations with
A Case of the Blahs and The Mix No.2!
One of my scrappy goals this year was to scrap more of myself, and my stories - so with that in mind, here's more of lil ole Me!

"This Is Me"

Yep! That's me.
I know, it does feel a lil weird to scrap yourself, but it's so important too!
The turning point for me was when my children were going through all our albums,
and asked "How come you're not in here too, mom?"
 Ouch moment!
I spend so much time behind the camera taking the photos, but I rarely get in front of the lens.
So, needless to say, you'll be seeing a lil more of me. LOL!
Despite being a super positive and glass half full kinda gal,
A Case of the Blahs was actually the perfect collection choice for me!
With it's good mix of fun colors and 'real life' sentiments, what could be better?!
I've used the super cool MEH pattern paper for my base, and added a half inch strip of BLAH paper to the left hand side of my layout.
The remainder of my layout lies in that cluster & many layers beneath my photo....

Those layers consist of square cuts from pattern paper MESSY, as well as EPHEMERA, CHIPBOARD STICKERS, FABRIC DIE CUTS, ENAMEL DOTS, CARDSTOCK STICKERS, ALPHA PUFFY STICKERS & a couple TASSEL BOWS from our Be You collection. I've mounted my photo onto a thick sheet of foam and some torn tracing paper, and tucked lots of the MESSY squares and EPHEMERA beneath it! As I'm lover of sparkly things I also embellished with a sprinkling of sequins from my stash.
Totally loving the scalloped trim CHIPBOARD STICKER - the sentiment on it didn't quite work for my story, but I just couldn't resist tucking it into all that layered goodness!
Let's take a closer look at a few of those layers.....

How fabulous are the FABRIC DIE CUTS?!! The always me, never perfect sentiment resonated a little too well. Totally imperfect, and I'm A-OK with that too!
The pops of black through my layout help to balance my PUFFY ALPHAS STICKERS title, especially those sweet printed CHIPBOARD STICKERS leaves.
Speaking of PUFFY ALPHAS, here's one last look at them....

Such awesome alphas!!!
Love the fun font, and with that stunning matte finish, they're be perfect for mixing and matching with all your favorite Pinkfresh Studio collections!  Love them!!!
----------
And now for something super cute 'n' fun with our The Mix No. 2 collection!

Here's my layout,

"Happiness is.... in Full Bloom"

Told you this was a fun page!
I am playing along with Pinkfresh Studio's Monthly Challenge & being totally inspired by the colours in the mood board AND also making a feature of our fabulous PUFFY STICKERS!
'Cos seriously, who doesn't love a PUFFY STICKER or 30?!!
Using that split heart cut file, I have filled the 'blank' side with all the puffy heart stickers that coordinate with the moodboard, as well as layered my sweet photograph over this section.
The opposing side gets a good dose of mixed media, and is then sparingly embellished with a few STITCHED HEARTS, & the odd PUFFY STICKER.
To create further interest, my PUFFY STICKER title travels around the heart cut file to encourage movement and flow around my photograph!
Here's a closer look.....

All those PUFFY HEART STICKERS!!!!
Love them all!
I've framed my sweet pic with a CHIPBOARD STICKER frame from A Case of the Blahs collection, and also embellished it with...wait for it, more puffy stickers!!!
Seriously, SO good! I may have a PUFFY STICKER obsession!
Do you have a favorite embellishment? I *may* have! LOL!

The PUFFY STICKERS are beautifully cut and come in so many fun colors, shapes, and designs! I love that the alphas are not too big, and as such, can be used on a variety of different craft projects!

Moving on from all that PUFFY STICKER love, I have also used  few pieces from The Mix No.2 EPHEMERA pack to embellish my photo with! Cute!
Play along with this challenge to go in the draw to win a fabulous Pinkfresh Studio prize! Yayyy!

And there you have it!
Two very different, but super fun & colorful layouts with our beautiful collections!
I hope I have inspired you to get creative today!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Elle's Studio: Stars in Sky

Hi Everyone!

Time for my first official post as part of the new 2018 Elle's Studio Design Team,
and boy-oh-boy, am I excited!
The January Kit (plus extras) for 2018 have been nothing short of exceptional, and I just couldn't wait to create with them!
I hope you will feel inspired by my 12 x 12 layout today,

"Stars In Sky"

Oh isn't this something?!!
Nothing like a large, bold title to make your pages 'pop'!
That incredible title, I Love You More Than All The Stars In The Sky, is from the Love You Die Cuts, and is a perfect sentiment for my sweet boy!
As my handsome subject is looking to the right, I have used a right alignment on my layout to ensure visual flow and 'ease on the eye' from a design aesthetic.
You'll spy those gorgeous XOXO 6 x 6 Paper Stack papers lining the right side of my layout.
To give the appearance of 12 inch papers, I have used the patterns where you don't really notice the 'join' at the 6 inch mark. Stripes and simple patterns are best for this option. I have also distracted away from the paper join by partially covering it with the cotton floss (from my stash) and paper layers from my photo cluster.
And while we're talking papers, how good is that color combination?!!

Here's a closer look......

Crisp, fresh and contemporary!
The mint, red & white really allow that bold black title to be a standout feature. To add further emphasis, I applied foam tape to my title creating dimension & interest.
Awesome!

I use more of the 6 x 6 Paper Stack papers to layer beneath my photo, as well as cards, die cuts and labels from the January Kit.

I embellish my photo cluster with Star Chipboard Stickers, Hugs & Kisses Puffy Stickers and a Love You Die Cuts subtitle, My #1. So many lovely layers and details here!

As my layout is totally inspired by my darling and that title, it seemed only fitting to feature hearts and stars in my background. I took inspiration from Nursery decor, and created a 'mobile' look with sewn lines, Enamel Dots (Family Fun Collection), Star Chipboard Stickers and die cut hearts from the January Kit and Love You Die Cuts.

I just love how this turned out! So simple and yet, oh so striking!

Beautiful photo, beautiful products = layout bliss!

And there you have it!
My inspirational layout you to get creating with our January Kit!
