Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Make A Wish: FOUR

Hi Everyone!
Welcome back for more birthday inspiration with the gorgeous new Cocoa Vanilla Studio collection;

CV-MW010
MAKE A WISH

Today I am sharing a very sweet layout about my Mister A for Awesome's recent birthday - so cute!
Make A Wish is perfect for birthdays and celebrations! Here's my birthday boy layout,
"FOUR"
img_20160919_141404
I know, isn't he just the cutest?! He was so pleased with himself, " I a big boy now" Naww! How could I not scrap this milestone moment! And what better collection to scrapbook it with!
I love the very cool blue tones in Make A Wish.  The pattern paper CV-MW004 LOOT BAG (with the cross pattern) is ideal for a masculine layout. I cut this paper into 2 inch squares and arranged the squares diagonally across my white cardstock base (in a checkerboard design), with my precious photograph in the center. As it's a boy layout, I then added lots of stunning blue embellishments, however, this made my layout a little too crisp. So, to create more warmth & balance, I teamed up the blues with the wood look pattern paper, CV-MW001 FRESH CUT and Wood Veneers. Perfect!
Let's take a closer look.....
img_20160919_141721
Sooooooo many fabulous embellishments! Puffy StickersChipboard Accent StickersEnamel Dots (sparkles)Vellum Accents & divine Die Cut Ephemera!
Let's not forget those Wood Veneers either! STUNNING! I mean, check out the stars and subtitles.....
img_20160919_141843
The chipboard frame with the veneer look is perfect for layering my photo onto, and take a look at that gorgeous cluster of embellishments - THAT cake is just adorable!!!
img_20160919_142059
I have also used those fabulous Alphabet Stickers to create my title with! Awesome! And despite my initial reservations about being able to use them on a boy page, I am totally LOVING the glitter Sparkles - Enamel Dots! So much fun!!!
You'll also note that I have used lots of directional arrows leading you into my sweet photo too. Gently encouraging the eye into what I value most about my layout ;)
Here's another glimpse at those fabulous Enamel Dots and Puffy Stickers.....
img_20160919_142354
Yep. Loving it!!!
Let's not forget that mini cluster in the top of my page though - Hey, it's FUN!!!
img_20160919_142240

Hi Creatives!

So excited to be sharing my take on Round 2 of the new issue over at Paper Issues!
This month we're all about

I know, hanging out in trees never looked so pretty, huh?!

I fussy cut a whole lot of pretty blooms (& LEAFs), and combined them with the coordinating embellishments - wood veneers, fancy buttons, clips, thickers - you name it!
Anyways, here's a few close up shots....

Lovely indeed!

How fun and playful are the coloured veneers?!!

Loving the gold foil accessory thickers too!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Traveler's Notebook with Love Always

Hi Creative Friends!
Today I am sharing some gorgeous, Cocoa Vanilla Studio, planner related inspiration!
I'm giving you a peak into my Traveler's Notebook, using Cocoa Vanilla Studio inserts & the Love Always collection.
I'm currently using a Webster's Color Crush: Walnut TN - but when it comes to inserts I prefer to customise mine.
Here's my inside cover....
img_20160917_144211
I know, so pretty huh?!
You'll spy some Love Always Die Cut Ephemera and Bits N Pieces that I've hot glued onto paperclips to create my own planner clips with. But it's those two stunning TN inserts that totally make me swoon!
The first one is made from pattern paper BOUQUET and has been custom made from my gorgeous pal, LinsertsbyLinda!  The second is crafted from pattern paper NOTE TO SELF , and it's a simple homemade one ;)
The difference? Well, mine are blank pages simply stapled together with a pretty pattern cover, but if you get them custom made you can vary the paper options to suit your personal needs. You'll see what I mean....
Here's a look inside the BOUQUET insert....
img_20160917_143552
Stunnning!!! Love this!
Practical & pretty, what more could a girl want?! ;)
You'll notice that I have ordered grid columns - similar to an EC planner - with 2 days to a page. This allows me the opportunity to really see my week ahead and plan it properly! The days of the week are printed on the top of each column, really making this my daily go-to planner! As it's a traveler's notebook, I tend to use less of the dimensional planner decorations and more stickers and labels. (I keep this TN in my handbag & use it for my personal day-to-day events so I need to keep it practical & lightweight!)
Let's take a closer look at the first half of my week.....
img_20160917_144338
I love to add a focal point or reminder to each double page spread; this week it was to remind me to plan ahead and that I got this! I used the fabulous Love Always Alphabet Stickers to achieve this. To make them really pop, I added a black gel pen shadow to them.
I also used the Love Always Accessory Stickers to accentuate most of my columns; decorative boxes, labels, typewriter words, inspirational words & even a tag!
img_20160917_144635
There's a few small Ephemera pieces, just look at that super sweet butterfly!!!
And the 2 Love Always Flair Buttons are just divine! I use these buttons as my page markers as they're just too cute not too!
You'll also spy the Love Always Puffy Stickers being used as my alternative to check boxes - so fun!
And yes, this is my genuine 'real' week - so my handwriting isn't special (or blog worthy) but I wanted to show a real use of my planners! Here's a look at how I scribble all over those pretty Accessory Stickers....
img_20160917_144733
You can really see how handy my customised Linsert is! So with my week totally sorted, what is my second blank page insert for?
Well, I'm using it for a new project - five minutes of scrapbooking a day!
Yep, only 5 minutes! It's so hard to pair everything back, and yet it's really working for me!
For this particular insert, I am recollecting my daughter's first few years.....
img_20160917_144510
It's very simple, and lightweight - perfect for keeping in my daily TN! I keep a few bits of Ephemera in the front cover pockets, and a mini glue stick in my purse. When I have a minute or two spare I add a little memory / story / journal or photo - so sweet!
- I hope my daughter will love this mini reflection album -
Regardless of what you use your inserts for, there's so many planner and creative options with Cocoa Vanilla Studio!
I hope you've liked having a peak inside my Traveler's Notebook today!
You can order a Cocoa Vanilla Studio custom insert from the lovely Linda here
Thanks so much for visiting,
til next time,
Happy Arty Days,

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Make A Wish: LOVE

Hi Friends!
Today I have a super sweet and oh-so-pretty page with the new
I LOVE the birthday and party theme of Make A Wish, but I really wanted to show you how incredibly versatile this collection is!
So, in the word's of Lewis Carroll, " A very, merry un-birthday to you!"
Here's my layout,
"LOVE"
img_20160908_131546
I know, soooooooo pretty, huh?!
From gorgeous layering, to sweet blooms, and delicate butterflies, Make A Wish is perfect for my beautiful subject!
*Please note that the bloom stencil used for my mixed media element is one from my stash*
It's no secret that I heart florals, but honestly, the florals and blooms in this collection are truly divine!
I mean, just take a look at that pattern paper, CV-MW006 DAYDREAM - toooooooo pretty for words!
As the blooms on this pattern paper are quite intricate and small, they're ideal for border trims and photo mattes. Love it!
I also used the journal cards paper, CV-MW005 PARTY MIX for those lovely photo layers; here's a closer look.....
img_20160908_133632
So  many wonderful (and beautifully coordinating) elements in Make A Wish! The die cut ephemera is just swoon worthy!
To cut through all the swoon, I introduced the woodgrain pattern to add a little balance to my page. You'll spy the Party Mix card & subtitle, 'Wonderful', a die cut ephemera butterfly and THAT chipboard sticker frame! I am LOVING chipboard stickers right now, seriously can't get enough of them! The label, 'hello beautiful' is also a chippie sticker, & it's stinkin' cute!
img_20160908_133804And speaking of stickers, how fabulous are the Accessory Stickers?!!
Loving the tags, labels & the tiny coloured typewriter font words - another new fave of mine!
Here's another view.....
img_20160908_133959
Love how I layered my Die Cut Ephemera butterflies, and used a few of the Sparkles Enamel Dots ....
img_20160908_134148
Hello Beautiful, indeed!
And there you have it! A very non-birthday layout with the all NEW collection
Did you want to see a birthday inspired layout? Well, ok, I suppose I could....
Here's one that I created for a scraplift from Orange Gearle & Paper Issues,
"Happy Birthday to You"
14086260_1338241716186811_1721899726894912187_o
LOVE this! So much fun!!!
It uses the same photo as the previous layout, but that's because it was from her 10th birthday photo shoot. Birthdays just can't get prettier than this!
So it's a given that Make A Wish is PERFECT for those birthday memories - but oh wow! I didn't think party pages could ever be this fun! Love it and I hope you do too!
Thankyou so much for stopping by today!
I hope you feel inspired to get creating with this collection  - due to hit stores very soon!

Paper Issues: September: Mix It Up Monday

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for a little more Paper Issues fun!
Today's Mix It Up Monday
is all about using up those messy mixed media scraps for a new layout ;)
I had a few strips of an old hot pink, orange and yellow watercolour background that I knew would work beautifully for this challenge -
Here's what I created with those scraps,
(& the new Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Take Me Away collection!)

'Fantastic'

Talk about 'give me all the colors'!!! Such a bright and playful page!
You'll spy my watercolour strip on the left hand side - I punched it with an old scallop border punch to create a little interest. I also used some of my watercolour scrap to matte my photo to.
And lastly, I punched out those butterflies too! So pleased to use up my scraps, but also some old punches that I had forgotten about!
Apart from the doilies and thread, everything else on my layout is from Pink Paislee's Take Me Away range - such a fabulous collection to create with!
Here's a few close ups.....

So cute! Love these two!
& how darling is that paper clip?! love it!!!

And I can't forget that thickers title - literally, fantastic!
Here's a view of my punched butterflies.....

Such a fabulous and easy challenge to join in on!
I do hope you'll come play too!
