----------------------------------

Now, time for me to share my card inspiration!

I have created 2 cards using very similar products, with 2 very different results!
Here's my first card,

"It's Your Time To Shine"

Wow 'em, indeed!!! What a striking card!

To re-create this card, turn a glass upside down onto a white card base.
Spray water around the exterior of the glass, and add Liquid Watercolor Sapphire around the glass rim. As the Sapphire reacts with the water, and begins to spread, also add Liquid Watercolor Licorice to blend with.
When the watercolors are almost dry, flick a few water droplets onto the background to create the appearance of faux stars.
Allow to dry completely before removing the glass.
Voila! One instant moon, and starry sky card base!

Next, use the Brilliant stamp and apply white ink stars, as well as embossing with WOW! Embossing Powder in Bright White.
While this stamp set is out, stamp the sentiment in black ink, as well as emboss the Brilliant title in Ebony Wow! Embossing Powder. Use the coordinating metal die, and cut out the embossed Brilliant title.
Use permament black ink, to stamp the tiny fox from the Itty Bitty Elements stamp set. Color with Faber-Castell Pitt pens in Sanguine, and use the coordinating metal die to accurately cut the fox out!

Glue the sentiment into place, & use foam dots to make the Brilliant title, & tiny fox 'pop'!
Adhere the card base onto a gold glitter cardstock, and then a black card base.
For finishing touches, add gold sequins!
Super simple, but oh so stunning!

My second card is all about the pretty.....

"Brilliant Friend"

Gasp! So soft and beautiful!
Perfect for a treasured friend!

To recreate this pretty card, use pink ink to repeat stamp the white card base with a Dainty Botanicals clear stamp. Stamp & emboss (with Misty Sky powder ) the Brilliant title, and use a sky blue ink for the 'friend' stamp. Use the coordinating metal die to perfectly cut out the Brilliant title.

Attach a few embellishments from the Pinkfresh Studio Simple & Sweet collection, as well as foam mounting the Brilliant title. Glue 'friend' underneath, and add a few Nuvo Drops in Bubblegum Pink for finishing touches!
Another simple, but oh-so-beautiful card!

Two very different cards and looks created using similar products from both Pinkfresh Studio & WOW! Embossing Powders.
I hope my cards have inspired you to get creating!

Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor Blog Hop

Hi Creatives!

Welcome to the Happy Arty Days blog!
I am so excited to be participating in the

Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolor Blog Hop

Yay!

These colors are simply divine!
So vibrant and intense!

Like all the fabulous Blog Hops with Pinkfresh Studio there are a few awesome giveaways!

Pinkfresh Studio are giving away 1 set of Liquid Watercolors on their Blog, Facebook & Instagram.
PLUS
Every blog in the hop line up is also giving away a $25 gift card!

How awesome are those prizes?!!

As per usual with blog hops, the winners will be randomly selected from the comments on each blog.
Winners will be posted on May 10th on the Pinkfresh Studio GIVEAWAY PAGE here, and it is your responsibility to check the page and claim your prize within 2 weeks.
***Be sure to leave a comment on every blog to go in the draw to win***

Now, onto the good stuff!

Here's what I've created with the Liquid Watercolors for today's hop.....

His & Hers double page layout that is designed to work as individual layouts too!

Wow! Aren't they sensational?!!
Told you the colors are divine!

Let's take a better look at each individual layout....

Stunning color!!!
I have used the gorgeous Key Lime, Sunshine, Emerald City, Aquamarine & Sapphire colors for this layout.
Here's a better look at that background.....

So vibrant!
To recreate this background, use the wet on wet technique.
Simply apply a generous amount of water where you wish to have color. Using the dropper from the Pinkfresh Studio colors, add one droplet at a time to the water. It will create 'rings' and begin to swirl and react with the water. When using more than one color, be sure to add analogous colors to avoid a muddy brown result.
Once dry, I also add quite a few paint brush splatters using undiluted 'pure' color.

I also paint a few white card scraps in the coordinating colors.
Once dry, I used an old border punch to create the pretty trim...

I can't even! The color intensity speaks for itself!
I also used the hand colored trim beneath my photographs too.....

So gorgeous, huh?!
I've featured the stunning Let Your Heart Decide collection to compliment the photos and that background! Perfect!!!

Love, love, love!

Next is my super star girly page.....

W.O.W!!!
So magic, indeed!

Just like the previous layout, I have used the wet on wet technique to achieve this incredible background.....

I used the colors Bubblegum, Sapphire, Aquamarine & Lavender to achieve this look.
Once dry, I get a lil inky with the Escape The Ordinary Stamp set......

Such a fun background!
Pinkfresh Studio stamps are always a joy to play with!
In keeping with my previous layout, I also create the border punch trim pieces & position beneath my photo. This creates a sense of unity between the two pages despite being so very different.

Those punched trims are really pretty!
What a fun way to bring an old tool back to life!

All the embellishments for this layout are from our The Mix No.2 collection, and as you can see, they are so versatile and work perfectly with these pop colors!

Loving all the star elements here!

SO magic, SO awesome!!!

I absolutely LOVE the new Liquid Watercolors!

Pinkfresh Studio: NICU Card Drive & Blog Hop!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome to the
Pinkfresh Studio
NICU Card Drive & Blog Hop!

I am so honoured and fortunate to be participating in this very special event!
Emergency & Intensive Care is something I hold quite dear to my own heart too!
There have been a few close calls with my darling boy,
and I can't even begin to describe our gratitude and thanks to the amazing hospital staff!

But enough chatter, let's get onto the good stuff!

Here's the beautiful mood board that we're being inspired by.....

Isn't this the sweetest?!
It immediately reminded me of our beautiful Escape the Ordinary collection, and as I am from the Scrapbook Team, I thought I'd create a few 'paper only' cards for you.....

I love this card set!
The mountain scenes, and the gray & gold combination really spoke to me!
The phrase stickers in Escape The Ordinary are perfect for the strength & encouragement sentiment too!

But, if you prefer a 'newer' collection, I also created a sweet card with the very pretty Let Your Heart Decide line.....

This time being solely inspired by the color scheme - but isn't it lovely?!

Which collection do you prefer?

I am torn between these two cards - I love them both!
But these ones are pretty awesome also....

Capable of Anything!
You so got this!

Here's a few more close ups....

I WILL climb this mountain - what could be more encouraging?!

Oh that mountain paper is just perfection!!!
It's from the Escape the Ordinary 6 x 6 Paper Pad,
but you can also get the same print in 12 x 12, it's called DISCOVER.

I hope my cards have inspired you, and moreso, I hope they bring some love and support to the NICU ward.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Please remember to leave a comment to go in the drawer to win a prize!
Good Luck!

Hop back to the Pinkfresh Studio blog HERE to see what our next talented designer has install for you!
Thankyou!
