1 set of Shimmerz Paints Stencil with dewdrops.

Here's my scrapbook layout using these divine colors...

"Shine"

Shine, indeed! What a glorious page!
These colors are a match made in heaven - so stunning!!!

Here's a better look for you....

A really beautiful layout for my beautiful girl!
I started my layout with a really fun and messy resist technique using an 'un-cut' cut file & Cold As Ice Vibez, Chickadee Spritz & Don't Citron Me Coloringz.
(You can check it out in the video at the end of this post)

I then enhanced the geometric floral cut file with more intentional layers of paint with the two exclusive new colors: Inklingz Something Like Blue & Wave of Blue, as well as Shimmerz Limoncello. These colors are beyond words - so insanely gorgeous!!!
I applied two coats of these colors to really make them noticeable over the sprayed layers.

I mixed some of the Cold As Ice Vibez into a white embossing paste, & applied it to my cardstock using the Shimmerz Paints Stencil: With Dewdrops.
I love the soft texture and interest this added to my design - so pretty!
I also splattered Cold As Ice Vibes & Something Like Blue Inklingz around the perimeter of where my cut file would be positioned. Simple, but so effective!

I foam mounted my shimmery cut file to create dimension and interest, and layered it onto my pretty  dewdrop base. I combined a bunch of Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Bloom Street embellishments with the Daisy Buttons to evoke more of the Spring vibes. Love it!

To complete the look, I added the You Are My Sunshine Dotz and a few of last month's kit, Shimmerz Paints Spotz. Voila!

See it all come together in my detailed process video HERE

Thanks so much for watching!
I hope you enjoyed my video & feel inspired to get creating!

Hip Kit Club: Mood Board Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Hip Kit Club inspiration!
Today I am sharing another super pretty page created with the February Hip Kits & inspired by the March Mood Board!
Here's what I came up with,

  "Live Life In Full Bloom"

Oh.my.heart!
Could it get any sweeter?!!
The beautiful new Bloom Street collection was the perfect choice for documenting my two darlings (and there's so much of this stunning line in all of our February Hip Kits!
All the pretty florals and bright colors are an idyllic reflection of this month's mood board too! Speaking of the mood board, it was created by none other than our super talented, Lauren Hender. Let me tell you, this girl knows how to pull colors and patterns like no other!!!

Here's a quick reminder of what her mood board looks like....

84206057_10157625515193880_5053895584935575552_o

Whoa!!! Such a bright, bold & striking array of images! Absolutely gor-jus!!!
You'll notice that I was not only inspired by the florals & bold use of colors but also the vertical designs and those pom poms & tassels too!

Here's a better look at my layout...

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-March13th-Blog-02

Sigh! Such a pretty page!
I used that stunning Petalsoft Bazzill Cardstock from the February Cardstock Kit as my base, and trimmed the left & right sides with machine stitched chevron arrows. The chevrons were fussy cut from paper #24 from the Pink Paislee, Paige Evans: Bloom Street collection, which is included in the February 2020 Main Scrapbook Kit.
With a myriad of colors in the mood board, and the presence of vertical designs, I arranged the fussy cut chevrons into rainbow order coming down the page. In keeping with the vertical design, (& very inspired by the dangling pom poms & tassels) I decided to create a cascade of florals & fussy cut blooms for my photos to rest upon.
You'll spy lots of fussy cut flowers from the Bloom Street collection, paper #12.

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-March13th-Blog-04

To frame my darling photographs, I trimmed up the sweet yellow 3" x 8" book mark card from the February 2020 Pocket Kit. I also fussy cut the hearts from this card, & used them to adorn one of my photos. Before I mounted my photos to the new yellow square bases, I positioned a larger bloom between each photo and the yellow cards.
These blooms were from the Bloom Street - Journaling Spot Die Cutspack. I also tucked in a few of the fussy cut florals too!

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-March13th-Blog-06

To connect my photographs, I foam mounted a Bloom Street - Journaling Spot Die Cuts sentiment, Live Life In Full Bloom to serve as my title. To symbolize the tassels, I added dangling, colored sewing threads & a few small pom poms from my sewing box stash!

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-March13th-Blog-03

I embellished around the cascading florals with assorted stickers from Pink Paislee Paige Evans: Bloom Street Sticker Book, and finished the look with lots of Nuvo Sweet Lilac Crystal Drops. Super pretty!

Here's a couple more detailed shots of all.the.pretty.things!!!

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-March13th-Blog-05

Those Nuvo Crystal Drops are fabulous, aren't they?
I am hoping to see more of these beauties in future Hip Kits!

Hip Kit Club: Beautiful FALL Layout & Process Video

Hi  Friends!

Welcome back for more Hip Kit Club: October Kit inspiration!
Today I am sharing a really beautiful and elegant Fall themed page featuring one of our subscriber exclusive cut files, fussy cut pieces and those amazing Vellum Die Cut Leaves from the October 2019 Main Kit.
There are so many gorgeous papers and embellishments in this month's kits, and I just couldn't resist using quite a few of them, as well as drawing on the stunning colors that feature throughout all the kits.
But enough chatter, let's get straight into it!

Here's my layout,

"Beautiful FALL"

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_01

Beautiful, indeed!
Those colors are just errrything!!!
Such a classic & elegant Fall page that not only captures the colors of the season, but also the joy it brings! I couldn't be more grateful for my two children - so very blessed!
Here's better view of my scrapbook page...

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_03

Like the subjects in my Fall photo, the colors in this month's kits totally have my heart!
Inspired by my treasured photograph and the very whimsical trees on pattern paper #7 from the Pink Paislee: Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection, I knew I just had to create a pink and blue Fall page. I started by fussy cutting a bunch of those gorgeous trees from paper #7 courtesy of the October 2019 Main Kit, as well as backing the Beautiful FALL cut file with the Bazzill Typhoon Cardstock from the October 2019 Cardstock Kit
While I was in a fussy cutting mood, you'll spy that I also cut along the scallop edge of Truly Grateful pattern paper #4 (also from the Main Kit), and then repeated this fussy cutting on a strip of that gorgeous Bazzill Typhoon Cardstock.

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_06

I machine stitched those two scallop trims together at the top of my Bazzill Avalanche Cardstock base, and then embellished the top left corner with HKC Exclusive Cozy Up Die Cuts from the Main Kit and Cozy Up Cardstock Stickers from the Embellishment Kit.

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_05

The bulk of my layout occurs in the second third of the page and is a myriad of those gorgeous colors, patterns and textures. I combined lots of those paper #7 trees with the similar styled HKC Exclusive Cozy Up Chipboard Stickers to create a whimsical forest appearance. I fussy cut & adhered the Pinkfresh Studio: Just A Lil Lovely: Chit Chat banners slightly below the center, and then foam mounted my darling photo over the top trim of them.
For a striking title, I not only backed the cut file with the one dominant blue color, I also embellished it with a complementary colored chipboard sticker bow. This clever use of color really pops and brings attention to both my photo and it's title. Perfect!

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_07

I trimmed each 'side' of the cut file with those stunning Pretty Little Studio: Indian Summer: Vellum Die Cut Leaves and added some machine threads and HKC Exclusive Cosy Up Chipboard Stickers to complete the look.

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Nov12th_BLOG_04

A really striking and BeautiFALL page!
You can see more of this layout, including how it all came together, in my process video HERE.

Hip Kit Club: Hello, Hello Sunshine Layout & Process Video

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Hip Kit Club awesomeness!
Today I am sharing some inspiration with the August 2019 Scrapbook & Cardstock Kits!
MY assignment for today is to feature an exclusive HKC digital cut file, add mixed media, and use either fussy cutting or punches.
Here's what I came up....

"Hello, Hello Sunshine"

Wow!!!
Isn't this stunning!

You'll spy a ton of fussy cutting from the Pink Paislee Paige Evans Truly Grateful collection, as well as those sweet bows from the new Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Heritage line.
The cut file I chose to use is called Floral Globe and is a subscriber exclusive!
& my darling photograph is framed with that fabulous Pretty Little Studio frame from the Indian Summer collection - LOVE!!!
You can see how this layout was created in my process video below....

Thanks so much for watching!

Hip Kit Club: You Are Loved Layout

Hi Friends!

I am so super excited to be sharing my very first "blog" project for the Hip Kit Club Design Team!
Today's inspiration is with the gorgeous August 2019 Main Scrapbook & Cardstock Kits, and features those fabulous Pretty Little Studio: Indian Summer Frames! I have also been challenged to incorporate some stitching into my project for some added interest and fun!
Here is the layout I created,

"You Are Loved"

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_01

Isn't this the sweetest?!! Loved, indeed!
A really beautiful layout for my darling girl!

I started my layout with the beautiful Bazzill Quartz Cardstock as I knew I would be inclined to use the floral adorned frames, and thus create a very feminine page! I had the perfect picture of my sweet girl to scrapbook, and a very strong idea of the message and sentiment that I wanted to document.
As she's feeling those 'difficult' teen years, I wanted her to know how beautiful, blessed & loved she is. The Pink Paislee (Paige Evans) Truly Grateful Mixed Ephemera & coordinating Phrase Thickers were perfect for this!

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_05

I selected the oval and circular frames for my feature, as not only are they adorned with florals, but are also gold foiled! Gor-jus!!! Also, the softer appearance of the round frames is just perfect for girly and delicate layouts! To bring further attention to those stunning frames, I embellished them all with my important sentiments.
As my darling girl is my greatest treasure of all, I foam mounted her framed photo and layered it onto a larger arrangement of ephemera blooms. This emphasized her photo, and importance, to the overall design. I also used the picture perfect sentiment to acknowledge her genuine beauty.

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_07

Infact, when it came to the title & sentiments, I designed the layout so it would read, You are...blessed, you are loved, picture perfect, Loved. I hope when she looks back in her albums, she sees how truly beautiful she always was despite the awkward years!

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_04

For the stitching element,  I just couldn't resist adding a little whimsy and playfulness to the design with butterflies & their flight paths. I used butterflies from the Truly Grateful Mixed Ephemera, Truly Grateful Phrase Thickers, & even some fussy cut ones from the Truly Grateful pattern paper #5. For the 'flight paths', I simply perforated the holes with a paper piercing tool & then stitched it all with some yellow embroidery thread.
I love how this turned out! So pretty!

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_03
F
or a polished look, and to tie in all those bright & beautiful colors, I trimmed the Truly Grateful pattern paper #14  into a 1" x 12" strip to line the top of my layout, and a half inch x 12" strip for the bottom. I adorned the top left corner with  Pinkfresh Studio: Just A Lil Lovely Mixed Embellishments, and then scattered a few more embellishments around the page.
The gold glitter enamel dots are really somethin'!

HKC_AmandaBaldwin_Sept12thBLOG_06

And there you have it!
Frames, Florals & Stitching with the August 2019 Scrapbook & Cardstock Kits!
I hope you feel inspired to get creating with these beautiful kits today!

The Cut Shoppe: Follow Your Heart!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more digital cut file inspiration!
Amanda here, and to start off 2019 I am all about stash busting my supplies. Time to use up all the things and have a fresh start to the New Year! Yay!
To save time, I often cut an extra cut file or two in white cardstock to 'save' for a just incase or unexpected project. I call these my 'back up files' for times when my software needs a lengthy update or just doesn't want to play nice (you know what I'm talkin' 'bout, right?) LOL!
Well, in my back up stash, I had cut the awesome Follow Your Heart file - perfect for combining with my hoarded stash of Pink Paislee's Auburn Lane.....

"Forever Friends"

Follow your heart, indeed! Isn't this pretty?!! Totally swoon worthy!
The pink backed heart against the textured woodgrain paper is just stunning!

The Follow Your Heart file is just the BEST!
Here's what it looks like....

image 0

Such a fun design! You can get this awesome file HERE!

Here's a closer look at my beautiful layout....

I have backed the heart with 4 of the Pink Paislee Auburn Lane pattern papers, then foam mounted a die cut ephemera heart in the center. For added interest & a lil' bling, I use pink sequins at each of the heart 'joins' - so pretty!

Before adding the Follow Your Heart cut file to my layout, I add a beautiful layer of paint splatters & droplets. I use watered down white acrylic paint plus Shimmerz Paints Vibez sprays in Pop Art Pink, Sweet Heart & Razzeldazzel Berry. So effective!

***Remember: Type AMANDA in the comments section of your Shimmerz Paints Store order to receive a FREE gift***

I foam mount the heart, and attach it to that mixed media and woodgrain base.
I add the beautiful ephemera tag to the heart, and then wrap the gold foam Thickers title around the heart....

SO gorgeous!
I also embellish the heart with die cut ephemera blooms - because there's no such thing as too many florals, right?!

And lastly, I add my beautifully adorned and framed photograph to the Follow Your Heart feature!

Beautiful!
A light sprinkle of sequins, & some enamel hearts and dots complete this lovely layout!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my first layout for The Cut Shoppe for 2019!

Citrus Twist Kits: More November Kit Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Citrus Twist Kits November Kits inspiration!

I just ADORE everything in this month's kits - it's all SO lovely!
If you missed the release, here's a quick look at the two main kits...

Sunshine In My Soul Scrapbook Kit

So gorgeous, huh?!!!

LOVE all the CTK exclusives!!!

If you're super lucky there may be just one or two left in the store  - you can check HERE!

And here's more of my creations with them......

"THIS."

Oh.my.heart!!! La la love this!
From that beautiful photo of my parents with my children, to those gorgeous PL kit exclusives - this page makes me smile!
It's created entirely with the Pocket Life Kit, the only 'extras' you'll spy are 12" white cardstock, machine stitching, and the Shimmerz Bubblegum Blast paint from my stash. Everything else on my layout is from this kit. Pretty amazing, huh?!!
Such a gorgeous kit! The exclusive papers and ephemera totally win me over every month - SO good!
Here's a few close ups for you....

That pretty border trim has been created by cutting 1/2" x 8" strips from the 6" x 8" papers. I simply  machine stitch them into place - such a great way to showcase a smaller pattern paper on 12" page.
Loving those ephemera tags and labels too!!!
But it's the photo cluster that really has my heart....

This is SO super pretty!!!
So many beautiful, luscious layers in that photo cluster!
You'll also spy lots more ephemera pieces, a few chipboard stickers and even those soft green puffy alpha stickers - LOVE!!!!

My second layout is a lot more soft and subtle.....

"Wonderful"

Yes, this happened!!!
Meet our newest family addition - a miniature Dachshund pup!
Isn't he the sweetest?!
I have combined the Paige Evans Whimsical pieces with the PL Kit exclusives to create this soft, clean and innocent look for our new boy.
I just love the cascading embellishments design!
Here's a closer look.....

OMGosh! Isn't he adorable?!!
I am in love - actually, we all are!
The soft blue and cream color scheme is so pretty, and I love the foil accents!
The stamping is courtesy of the CTK Conversation Starter Vol.2 stamp, & I think it pretty much sums up our feelings, this lights my world!
Just about perfect.....

Another beautiful moment documented with this month's lovely kits!

I hope my layouts have inspired you to get creating too!
