Hip Kit Club: Stay Golden Layout & Process Video!

Hi Creatives!

Thanks so much for being here!
Today I am sharing a sweet Fall themed page for the Hip Kit Club,
as part of the Sketch Friday Challenge.
The sketch was designed by the super talented Jana McCarthy and is super awesome!
It looks like this...

Whoa!! Told you it was super awesome!

And here's my take on it using the fabulous HKC August 2019 Scrapbook Kit,

"Stay Golden"

Yes! Such a super cool kid page for my fave lil guy!

Citrus Twist Kits: Sunday Sketch!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back to the Happy Arty Days blog!
Today I'm presenting this week's installment of the
Citrus Twist Kits Sunday Sketch feature!
This sketch is tons of fun, and I hope I can inspire you to play along!

So, without further ado, here's what this week's Sunday Sketch looks like...

Told you it was a fun one! Such a cool design, and really easy to take inspiration from!
Here's my twist on it...

"Weekend Happiness"

Isn't this pretty?!!
As you can see, I have altered the sketch (Or kinda trimmed the right hand side off) to create an 8" x 11" layout page. That's the wonderful thing about sketches, you can edit them to suit your creative style!
Plus, after creating quite a few projects this month I really didn't have any 3"x 4" cards left over to 'perfectly' follow the sketch. Realistically, I could have cut my own 3" x 4" card from one of the Best Of This Life Pattern Papers, or used one of the July 2019 digital printable 3 x 4 Journaling Cards but I still needed to fit the sketch into a smaller page size. So, I decided to use the 2nd photo as the card, and replaced the paper clip with an embellishment or 4!

Here's a better look at my page...

Happiness, indeed! Ain't nobody loves the weekend like my sweet girl! In her own words, "Mondays be like, Meh! & when FriYAY calls I'm like, so there!" Ummm... yeah, teen lingo and whatever that means, lololol!
Seriously though, such a super fun and playful page!

I've used the Best Of This Life July Life Crafted Kit, the Life Crafted July 2019 Digital Cut Aparts & the Joyful Day Phrase Stickers (Pinkfresh Studio) from the July 2019 Scrapbooking Add On Kit.
I have foam mounted the photo cluster to add a little more interest and some dimension to the design.

Speaking of clusters, how fantastic are all those embellishments in the top right of my photo?!

The puffy stickers in this month's kit are so fab! I'm loving the bright Summer colors and the sentiments are totally on point!
And let's not forget to mention my mixed title....

I have combined the bright colored WEEKEND ephemera with the Pinkfresh Studio Joyful Day phrase sticker, happiness to create my title. I love how effective this looks!
You'll spy that I foam mounted the ephemera for added 'pop' against the phrase sticker.
And there you have it!
Simple. Pretty. Lazy Sunday creating!

I wonder how you'll interpret this sketch?
Please be sure to add your projects to the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page HERE so we can be inspired by your awesomeness too!

Citrus Twist Kits: Best Of This Life Kit Inspiration!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for some  Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted Kit inspiration!
This month's kit is so gorgeous that I swooned when I opened my Best Of This Life Kit box! So.much.gorgeousness!!!
But rather than rave about how amazing the Life Crafted Kits are, let's allow my projects to do all the talkin'....

First up is this fresh & fun Summer layout, "Summer Days"

So cool & refreshing!
Summer Days documented to perfection with the Best Of This Life Kit!
Let's take a closer look....

The colors in the pattern papers, combined with those fabulous woodgrain alphas are simply the BEST for scrapbooking our fave Summer moments! From the mid blues to the aqua marines, this page takes me to the beach!
And just look at all those amazing embellishments! The Life Crafted stamp, and the chipboard & puffy stickers are definitely my faves!!!

Speaking of chipboard stickers, here's a better look at them!  Best ever, for sure!
As usual the clear stamp sentiments are really crisp and add the right amount of journaling to your pages! With so many beautiful products in the kit, I just couldn't resist creating lots of luscious layers with both the papers, journal cards and labels.
And for added interest, I fussy cut around the florals on one of the journal cards - see below....

Simple, subtle but so effective!

The shell die cut ephemera pieces are a cute adornment for my beachy page. Sometimes it's the smallest details that really add that finishing touch! Gorgeous!

For my second project, I am sharing this pretty layout, "LOVE"...

Sigh! Talk about ALL the pretty things!!! This is so super sweet!
This time I am combining the Best Of This Life Kit with the July Traveler's Notebook Stamp and the Best Of This Life Cut Aparts. Love it!

Like my previous layout, I have created more luscious layers so that I could tuck in lots of ephemera and showcase those pretty papers, cut aparts & journal cards. Infact, it was the folk art style 6" x 4" journal card that inspired the color scheme for my page. You'll spy that I snipped the card in half, and butted it together to create the appearance of a 12" x 2" strip of paper. You'll spot two more cards in my photo stack too....

Swoon! Those layers are really somethin'! Florals always have my heart! And those Cut Apart labels (lovely & happy) are a sweet addition to the layered goodness!
Let's not forget the journal card that I snipped into three to create the fun 'love' tabs on my pattern paper strips - such a fun way to use this card if pocket pages aren't your thing!

With such a delightful color palette, I opted to repeat stamp my sentiments in similar color inks instead of the usual black. I love how soft & pretty this looks! The CTK stamps are always the best!

Did you see how I've incorporated the tiny kit name label card? I loved the sentiment on the kit name card and had to tuck it into my photograph layers. I snipped it into half so I could also include it in my paper strip feature. Perfect!

*Note: the sequins featured on my layout are from my personal stash*

Beautiful! Such a pretty page for my darling daughter!

Next up is some Life Crafted Album love!
Here's a super cute back to school page from my album with this month's kit....

How cute & fun is this?!
I just adore those woodgrain alphas - perfect for adding some warmth to my cool color scheme!
I also love the use of labels in this design too!
Here's a better look at my page...

Super cool! The puffy stickers and enamel dots really add that extra something, don't they?

The mix of colors and patterns in the Best Of This Life exclusive papers is nothing short of awesome! I love the variety of designs, making the kit super versatile!

And there you have it!

Citrus Twist Kits: "Around Here" Life Crafted Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Citrus Twist Kits inspiration!
Today I am sharing an interactive page in my Life Crafted Album using the gorgeous
Missed seeing the June Life Crafted Kit?
You can check it out HERE
(& if you're really lucky there might be one or two still in stock  - Goodluck! )

Here's my latest creating with this sweet kit....

Oh, how pretty is this?!!
Lots of lovely layers with the 3" x 4" journal cards & die cut ephemera. The page on the left, 'Today', also features that gorgeous 3" x 8" bookmark. Pink, yellow, striking black and florals - LOVE!!!

The page on the right "Well loved little things"is the interactive page, and also features the Pinkfresh Joyful Day pattern paper, "Just Right" from the CTK June Scrapbooking Add On Kit.
I trimmed this paper to 12" wide x 8" long, then scored down the 8" length every 4 inches across (creating 3 even fold lines). I concertina folded the pattern paper, and adhered the last fold flap onto the back of the previous fold - think a book cover that opens the wrong way.

Open the flap cover to reveal.....

...the last photo from this funny story!
Our sweet teenage girl isn't always happy anymore, but this day she was! Loving This!

So very pretty!
That tiny bow that's pinning the rose tag into place is from the fabulous Bows Cut File
which you can download HERE.

Here's another view at that lovely page....

The Black Puffy Foam Phrase & Icon Stickers from this month's kit are errrything! SO cool!
I use the heart icons on every page to help unify the design. The pop of black against all the sweet pink & yellow is really something!
Gor-jus!!!

It's no secret that the Life Crafted Kits & Albums are perfect for documenting your everyday life stories!
I hope that you've enjoyed seeing my pages & are excited to get creating too!

Citrus Twist Kits: December: 3 To Inspire Challenge!

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Boy-oh-boy am I excited to be sharing some of my first creations with the gorgeous Pleasant Valley Scrapbook Kit! from Citrus Twist Kits!
This kit is all kinds of awesomeness - so many beautiful pattern papers, and sweet embellishments! Speaking of beautiful pattern papers, I decided to make pattern papers a feature of today's challenge! But enough chatter, let's get started!

For today's edition of 3-To-Inspire, your projects will need to feature the following....

1. Pattern paper as the layout base/background (no cardstock!).
With so many beautiful pattern papers in both our Scrapbook & PL kits this should be a great opportunity to showcase them in your creating!

2. Use stamps!
Feature any of the exclusive CTK stamps (past or present) in your layout!

3. Include a heart.
Stickers, ephemera, stamps - whatever takes your fancy! Hearts are such an easy embellishment to adorn your layouts with!

With these 3 things in mind, here's what I crafted with the Pleasant Valley Scrapbook Kit...
First up is my 'boy' page, "Better Together"

Other: Black stamping ink, & Shimmerz Paints: Spritz Bamboo Leaf.

Isn't this awesome?!! Such a fun, masculine layout!
You'll spot the fabulous Pinkfresh Studio: Indigo Hills 2:  Meadow pattern paper as my layout base. I fussy cut the Heidi Swapp: Emerson Lane: Easy Peasy Paper so that I can utilise all the journal cards, tags and labels in my photo cluster. For my stamping element, I repeat stamp the arrow that features in the 2" x 3" clear polymer stamp in the Scrapbook Kit.

You'll spot a variety of hearts on this layout, including the Emerson Lane Cardstock Stickers, Journal Studio Puffy Stickers (both from the Scrapbook Kit) as well as the One Canoe Two: Golden Rod Chipboard Phrase Thickers (from the Embellishment Kit). While we're on the topic of the Golden Rod Thickers, how incredible is that chipboard title?!! That gold is just SO striking against the indigo paper base! LOVE!!!
Here's a closer look at my photo cluster....

So many lovely layers here, mostly from the Emerson Lane supplies. They coordinate beautifully with the Meadow paper, and I love the inclusion of that olive green! You'll spy that I do add some painty splatters in a similar green color (from my personal stash) to enhance these embellishments.

So cool! A boy & his puppy documented perfectly with Pleasant Valley!

My second layout for today is a softer, more feminine take on the 3-To-Inspire challenge....
"Sweet Puppy Love"

Other: Black stamping ink, & watercolor paint.

Naww! How cute is that puppy?!! No secret that I am totally smitten by him!
I have used the beautiful Heidi Swapp: Emerson Lane paper that comes in this month's Pattern Paper Play Kit as my layout base.  I've also used lots of the Journal Studio goodies that feature in the Pleasant Valley Scrapbook Kit, as well as a bit of everything from the Embellishment Kit! (There's no such thing as too many embellishments, right?) You'll notice that I do remove the paperclip backings from the Journal Studio Swan Paper Clips and use them as an epoxy sticker instead! Awesome!
Here's a closer look at my page.....

Omgoodness! I can't handle his cuteness!!! Such a darling lil pup!
And yes, that's me in the photo - awkward as always (I much prefer being behind the lens!) but this lil guy just has to be documented! If your familiar with my style, it's well known that I love all.the.florals!!! So naturally, I use a lot of them for my layout!

The hearts featured are from the Golden Rod Thickers set, & on the subject of Thickers, how gorgeous is that soft, glossy pink title?!! Those alphas are from Pink Paislee's Paige Evans Whimsical collection & are from the Scrapbook Kit. SO pretty!!!

Lots of repeat stamping from the exclusive CTK stamp from the Scrapbook Kit and watercolor paint droplets to complete this pretty page.

And there you have it! My first two pages with the divine Pleasant Valley Kits
I hope I have inspired you to get creating & play along with today's 3-To-Inspire challenge

Be sure to share your beautiful creations in the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page on Facebook - we love to see what you've crafted!

Spellbinder's Card Kit of the Month for December!

Hi Friends!

I am so excited to be joining you today for more Spellbinders inspiration with their incredible
Card Kit of the Month!

Card Kit of the Month Membership

And let me tell you, the December kit is all kinds of awesome!!!
It's jam packed full of Winter Wonderland & Christmassy delights!
Here's a few sneaks for you....

 OH.WOW!!!
How fabulous is this card kit?!!
And the 6 x 6 Winter Wishes pattern papers are pretty fantastic too!
So many beautiful designs!
Here's another look for you....

What an amazing kit!

Here's just a handful of cards I've made, using only items from the kit.....

Wow! All the Winter Wishes here! So many lovelies!
And they're all made entirely from the kit - no extra items from my stash. How awesome is that?!
Such a fabulous kit!
Let's take a closer look at them all.....

Aren't they pretty?!!
I've used the glitter washi tapes in this month's kit to border the card bases, and give the appearance of glitter cardstock. I've also featured the exclusive 6 x 6 pattern papers and die cuts. So gorgeous!
Here's another look ....

Oh so lovely! This one also features the twine in this month's kit too!
I just adore that pinecone!
Next up are a few cards made with the amazing metal dies in the kit.....

Winter Wonderland perfection!
The metal dies are always my favourites! LOVE!!!
You'll spy the teal enamel dots and gold glitter puffy alpha stickers also making a statement on these two cards!

That polar bear is just adorable!!!

Those gold glitter puffy stickers are so sparkly! & I'm totally crushing on all those intricate snowflakes!

For my next card, I'm demonstrating the versatility of this Christmas themed kit with a simple birthday card.....

Super sweet! & how awesome to be able to get more than just Winter themed Christmas cards out of this kit!
I love all the foil elements on the tags, it really makes them pop!

And now for some Winter Wishes.....

How cute is that Santa hat die cut with the antlers?!
It inspired me to create more antlers with some of the leafy metal dies.

You'll spot that the faux antlers are a lil sparkly!
That's because I die cut them from the glitter washi tape in the kit!
I just love how effective the die cut washi tape looks, that I double it's width and cut my sentiments with it for the next card....

Oh.how.stunning!!!
Everything in this kit is just so beautiful!

Total gorgeousness!

I hope I have inspired you with my first installment of creations with this kit!
I have so many leftovers that I'll be using this kit all month - it's amazing!
I haven't even got to the stamps yet!
So good!
