Elle's Studio: Five on Friday Inspiration!

Hey Friends, Happy FriYAY!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio July Kit inspiration!

I can't wait to share what I've created using the exclusive July 2021 Kit and new release items! Today's post is all about highlighting 5 of the new products - hence, 5 on Friday!

Let's get started!

Firstly, here are the 5 products I've chosen to highlight...

1. July 2021 Kit die cuts

2. Adventure 6x 8.5inch Paper Stack

3. Cardstock Die Cut Tags

4. Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers

and last, but by no means least,

5. Summertime Tabs Stamp

Wow! SO much awesomeness to craft with! Some might say the Fantastic Five!

Here's what I came up with,

"Vacay & Good Times"

How awesome is this?!
Five products, and five stars! You'd never know that this page was limited to only five products - so many wonderful details to admire!

Other: White Bazzill cardstock, black stamping ink, machine stitching.

Let's take a closer look...

Firstly, let's talk all things pattern paper!
I think it's only fair to say that the new Adventure 6 x8.5inch Paper Stack is a serious 'must-have' item! With 2 sheets of 15 designs it's easy to create the illusion of full size 12inch papers. I butted together two 2inch strips of the striped design paper and adhered them to the back of my distressed white cardstock base to form a 12 inch background paper. So cool!

On the opposite side of my page, I layered two 6inch squares of the yellow striped paper over the top of my white cardstock. To build on my design, and to enhance my sunset photo I also machine stitched a pattern paper sunburst design over the striped yellow section. Plus, I even backed my photograph onto a paper base too! Pattern paper is definitely for the win!

And speaking of winning, how about the versatile use of the Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers? Apart from the obvious title, I also used these stickers to emphasize the sunburst rays! Such an inventive way to utilize the exclamation marks!

The June 2021 Kit die cuts were the perfect embellishment for adorning my photo, as well as filling some negative space. I combined the two tone banner with the Summertime Tabs Stamp to add a snip-it of storytelling to my page.

To fill more of the negative space, I shadow stamped the 'fun in the sun' sentiment - also from the awesome Summertime Tabs Stamp.

The Cardstock Die Cut Tags could be used in a myriad of ways, but I tucked mine beneath my photo to create even more visual attention.

Really simple, and such effective approaches for maximizing 5 products!

I hope my project has inspired you today!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: The Sweet Life!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for some super pretty Cocoa Vanilla Studio: UNFORGETTABLE inspiration!
This week the Design Team have been asked to create scrapbook pages that feature pattern paper as the background - so no white cardstock!
We're aptly calling it 'white out' week!
Here's what I came up with.....

"The Sweet Life"

Sweet indeed! What a delightful page!
You'll spy that I used the beautiful woodgrain paper, CV-UF008 NATURAL BEAUTY as my background paper. However, once I started looking at all those pretty papers I just couldn't stop at one - so.much.gorgeousness! Naturally, there are lots of pretty pattern papers featured on my layout today!
Let's take a better look....

Isn't this just gorgeous?!!
And truly, life couldn't be any sweeter with my two darlings!

To the top of my layout, I added a one inch strip of that divine floral, CV-UF001 GLORIOUS. This paper makes me swoon every single time I lay eyes on it! Such a stunning floral design! And speaking of florals, I used that coordinating floral swag DIE CUT EPHEMERA piece to embellish the GLORIOUS trim, and act as an anchor for my title and overall design.

My large title is a digital cut file courtesy of Cut To You, and I have backed it with a few of the 6 x 8 PAPER PAD papers. 'The Sweet Life'  papers happen to be the smaller variation of the B-side designs to CV-UF003 GARLAND and CV-UF005 LACEWING. Love!!!
The 6 x 8 PAPER PAD is the perfect choice for backing cut files with!

I embellished my larger title with a few carefully selected pieces, the first of which was my photo cluster. I tucked my photo just beneath the edge of my title and attached them together with the 'treasured' ACCESSORY STICKER. I used another sticker beneath my photo, as well as a DIE CUT EPHEMERA tab to support my photograph.
Here's a closer look for you...

The Cocoa Vanilla Studio FLAIR BUTTONS are always amazing, and I added that sweet camera one to complete the look.

To balance my black & white photo on such a colourful page, and create that second point of interest to the title, I foam mounted that sweet DIE CUT EPHEMERA camera embellishment. Subtle, simple but so effective!

In keeping with the rule of three, and the sweet camera embellishments, I also featured the pretty black camera ACCESSORY STICKER. So cute!

The final adornment to that big title is the fussy cut the florals from pattern paper, CV-UF003 GARLAND. I foam mounted them just below the title, and ensured that they reflected the swag at the top of the page too. This really added that wow factor to my overall design.
The CV-UF008 NATURAL BEAUTY paper is so stunning that I had to use both sides of it. The pretty B-side (that striking black & white foliage print) trims the base of my layout. I ensured that the GARLAND floral arrangement overlapped this trim & in turn, created a more cohesive design. For a polished look I added the 'best things in life...' sentiment ACCESSORY STICKER and a good sprinkle of ENAMEL DOTS.
And there you have it!
Beautiful, classic creating that highlights the gorgeous UNFORGETTABLE pattern papers!
I hope I have inspired you to use more pattern papers in your projects this week!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

First up, is this divine layout....

Isn't this gor-jus?!!

Here's a better look at this pretty page.....

So much gorgeousness here!
I am absolutely crushing on the cascading foilage fussy cut from the Summer Garden Paper Pack, and then enhanced by the A Study In Watercolor Stamp & Die Set. La la LOVE!

By coordinating the A Study In Watercolor stamped die cuts with the Summer Garden pattern paper, I am able to disguise the fact that this is 6" x 6" paper. Such a clever way to incorporate 6" x 6" paper into our 12 x 12 scrapbook layouts!

Those stamped layers are errrrrrything!!!

You'll also spy more of the Summer Garden paper at the base of this layout. By butting 2 of the same paper together it also creates the illusion of a 12" paper. So cool!
I also layer more of the A Study In Watercolor stamped die cuts beneath my photo for added interest & impact!

Absolutely beautiful!

My second layout also features the gorgeous Summer Garden 6 x 6 Paper Pack.....

Oh how pretty!!!

Let's take a closer look....

Wow!

Like my previous layout, I have cleverly positioned the pattern paper to create the illusion of 12" paper. I have also been inspired by the color in this paper, and used it with my Weekend Doodles Stamp. Isn't the result stunning?!

I stamp the sentiment directly onto my layout with black ink - LOVE!
But it's those layered Weekend Doodles stamped die cuts that really have my heart...

So intricate & divine!

Perfect for my pretty girl!

Next up, is a very fresh and contemporary scrapbook layout....

Sigh! So refreshing, indeed!

Here's a better look....

Yes!!!
I just adore everything about this page!
I create the watercolor base by pressing the Turquoise Ink onto an acrylic plate and adding water. Voila! Instant liquid watercolors from our fave dye inks!

I love the 'washy' appearance of the liquid watercolor base so much, that I also use my wet paint brush over a few of my A Study In Watercolor stamped die cuts. This really softens their appearance! I also use the A Study In Watercolor Die Set with the Alluring Blooms 6 x 6 pattern paper to add a hint more color to my design!
I use this same paper & another from the Sweet Moments 6 x 6 Paper Pack to create the trims at the top and bottom of my layout.

So simple, and so very beautiful!

And last, but by no means least,
a trio of cards for all our card making friends!

So sweet!
And perfect for a variety of occasions!

Here's the first card I made....

Oh so pretty & just perfect for a newborn baby girl!
That Spring Meadow Cover Die is just so intricate!
Loving those yellow inset details too!

My second card has a more 'grown up' color palette, but is equally as beautiful....

I feature the Geometric Landscape Stamp as the sentiment, which I stamp directly onto that lovely Blushing Blooms paper!
So gorgeous!

My third card is perfect for birthdays, Easter celebrations or even Spring!

So pretty!
Again, I have used the Geometric Landscape stamp for the sentiment.
Clean, & bold and simply lovely!

Wow!
Told you this release was EPIC!!!
Absolutely Stunning!!!
I hope you feel inspired!
