Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Outta This World!!!

Hi Creative Friends!

I am super excited for the latest COCOA VANILLA STUDIO: Boys Rule collection to arrive!

Omgoodness - it's SO good!

And I am feeling all inspired to create more masculine layouts!

So for today's post,

I am sharing a really fun boy layout with our previous masculine collections; You ROCK & Totally RAD.

Just to get us back in the groove...so to speak!

Enough chatter, here's my boy page....

"Outta This World!!!"

How awesome is this?!!

When it comes to creating masculine pages, I just love the inclusion of woodgrain papers and wooden veneers! And as you'll see, my layout design was totally inspired by that fabulous DIE CUT EPHEMERA piece You are my WORLD.

My boy isn't just MY world though - he's completely Outta This World!

My layout begins with a simple 12 x 12 inch white cardstock base, to which I add that fabulous woodgrain pattern paper CV-YR008 PLUS ONE (reverse side). I use a half inch x 12 inch trim on the left hand side, and a 4 1/2 inch x 12 inch length to the right hand side of my page.

I use a globe cut file to enhance the 'world' theme (it's called It's A Beautiful World, from Paper Issues) & I back it with pattern paper CV-YR007 EXPERIMENTAL .The ombre blues in this paper are perfect for recreating the ocean look! This globe becomes the centerpiece of the layout design, and draws you into that sweet photo!

And the rest is just super fun embellishing! My Favorite Part!

Here's a closer look for you....

How incredible is that WOOD VENEER SHAPES sub title, You ROCK?!! I couldn't resist using it - it's just so perfect! I also use a few of the stars from this pack to scatter on my page. Love them all!

Speaking of wooden titles, my layout title is created from those awesome TOTALLY RAD ALPHABET STICKERS - the woodgrain appearance coordinates beautifully with the veneers and pattern paper!

My photograph is layered onto a few fun DIE CUT EPHEMERA pieces, as well as that fun pattern paper, CV-YR006 RANDOM. I then embellish it with that fun RUBBER CHARM, and FLAIR BUTTON.

And let's not forget that CHIPBOARD ACCENT STICKER sentiment.....

Super, indeed!!!

You'll also notice that I use the globe base as a track for my ACCESSORY STICKERS journaling - so cool! The typewriter font stickers are my favourites! Simple, uncomplicated and with the perfect phrases and sentiments! For added interest, I also add a few black dots from the ENAMEL SHAPES pack.

And there's that inspirational DIE CUT EPHEMERA piece! I've mounted it onto some foam tape for added dimension. Inspiration is everywhere in the You ROCK line!

Paper Issues: February Pawsitively Pets

Hello Happy Arty Days Friends!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun!
Time for this month's edition of

And this month the pets challenge is.....

To tell us what you love most about the animal in your life!

Is it that they are smart? Cuddly? Funny? Knows great tricks?

We want to hear about it!

Scrapping the page is up to your imagination, as long as it's new for the challenge.

Now as I have no pets, I had to get a lil creative with this one....
I asked Mr A what his favourite animal experience was, and why?
Hi response was, "I love feeding the kangaroos best of all, cos they're my friends"
Nawww!
So here's that layout......

Scrap The Boys: Black & White Fun!

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Wow! June already?!!

Where does the time go?

On a happy note though, it does mean time for a new challenge over at

Scrap The Boys

Here's what this month's challenge looks like.....

Yep! It's a black n white frenzy!!! SO cool!

Nothing like a lil monochromatic palette to inspire!

Here's my take on it....

"Totally RAD"

Oh I love this cool kid!!!

To make him a feature in that sea of black, white and grey I used a colour photograph to make him 'pop' off the page. Such a groover in those sunnies!

I've used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Totally Rad collection to create this page - and isn't it perfect for the challenge?!!

Even the stickers, enamel dots and wooden buttons are a match! Too cool!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Don't Grow Up!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for another super fun Cocoa Vanilla Studio: TOTALLY RAD boy layout!

This collection is just as the name promises - TOTALLY RAD!!! I can't rave enough how awesome this new collection is!

But rather than chatter, why don't I let my pictures do the talking?

Here's my oh-so-happy, super cool, boy layout....

"Don't Grow Up"

Yep, that's my boy! How totally awesome and RADICAL!

With such fantastic photos of my boy, it is so truly wonderful to have Totally RAD to scrap them - it's just Sooooo BOY!!!

I mean, where do I start?!

Robots, skateboards, stars, and a fun colour palette - it was always bound to be amazing!

Let's take a closer look....

Just loving the combination of the Woodgrain pattern paper (CV-TR004 - STELLAR), Woodies & Wood Veneers to take the 'edge' off the cool pattern papers. Adding depth, warmth, balance and texture to the layout.

And those Die Cut Ephemera robots are the bees knees!!! So playful and fun but still masculine - very cleverly designed!

To cut through the cool patterns, and the natural wood tones, I've featured a bold, black subtitle, as well as the 'Awesome' flair button....

This really is such a fun, colourful, all-boy collection! Love, love, love!

That camera pattern paper (CV-TR006 - HAPPY SNAPS) is super cool! The cameras have a vintage look to them, and are slightly distressed too....

And how fabulous is that Die Cut Ephemera title - don't GROW UP - it's a trap?!!

I stapled mine and added a tiny Woodies embellishment to it to add more interest- but isn't it cool?

I truly am loving having such a fun, and genuinely cool boy collection to create with!

Trust me when I say, if you have boys in your life, you NEED Totally RAD ;)

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Super Hey Yeah!

Hi Creatives!

Boy-oh-boy am I in LOOOOOVE with the all new Cocoa Vanilla Studio: TOTALLY RAD collection!

And here's why.....

Yep. It's the coolest of COOL for our lil and not-so-little guys! Literally, Super hey yeah!

So many striking pattern papers and ultra cool embellies for this collection - it's just AWESOME!

Let's take a closer look....

I know, where to start?! So much scrap-happy yumminess here!

Lots of fun layers to this page, I've used SAY WHAT as the base, and layered that stunning LINE UP over it (11" x 11") and stitched it into place.

I've also layered the STELLAR, SAY WHAT, HAPPY SNAPS & MIX TAPE papers together as well as a couple cute DIE CUT EPHEMERA frames and ACCESSORY STICKERS to matte my photo with. SO cool!!!

But it's those awesome embellishments which really add that finishing touch....

Seriously, could that FLAIR BUTTON be anymore perfect against the HAPPY SNAPS paper?!! Love it!

And those WOODIES are just aaahhhmazing to play with - I think they are my favourite embellishments!

Here's a quick peak at the entire packet because they're just too good not to share ;)

And I can't forget to mention those cute WOOD VENEER - super fun and I love that some of the pieces are printed too! Just check out that AWESOME banner veneer! As the subtitle suggests, THIS ROCKS!

Yep. It is very safe to say that TOTALLY RAD is knocking the ball outta the park with this uber cool boy collection!

I recently added up all the layouts I've created with this collection and I'm up to 17 and still not finished! This is definitely a full boy album collection plus maybe a few extra projects too....LOL! I can't help myself, it's just too awesome!

I hope my layout has inspired you to get creating with TOTALLY RAD!

Imaginarium Designs: Totally RAD!

Hi everyone!

Welcome back for more Imaginarium Designs inspiration!

Boy oh boy, have I got some super cool layouts to share!
Cocoa Vanilla Studio have released a new collection: Totally RAD & it is just the perfect partner for our stunning chipboards!
But less of the chatter.....

Let's start with this Super Cool Totally RAD layout of my boy - aka the scooter demon!

So awesome, huh?! I love that this collection is so easy to tell a story with!

Some really cool ways to use your favourite Imaginarium Designs chipboards here too...

Obviously a strong, bold black ink is essential for making titles, substitles & those cool stars 'pop' against all the colours. But it's my use of the star chipboard 'scraps' that I want to focus on.

I've inked mine in orange, and used it to matte my photo onto - really cool!

And those matte black stars are super cool!

Speaking of stars.... did you spy what else I did to my star chippies?

Yep, that's a star sticker that I mounted directly onto my chipboard to add dimension....

I also added the 'woodies' skull charm over the star -
so this chipboard is seriously well dressed & uber cool!

Such a fun way to add interest to your chipboard favourites!

How awesome are the chippie words too?! The script is simply stunning!

Next up, I have this fabulous double layout that also works as two singles!

Kinda like a 'his' and 'hers' layout.....

I love this!

Both layouts have been created with the very same Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Totally RAD collection - only I added some blooms from the Hello Sunshine collection to soften my girly page.

Naturally, they feature lots of chippy yumminess!

Let's take a closer look at each layout.....

"Gorgeous"

Such a pretty page! She really is our gorgeous girl too!

To soften the masculine papers, I've used muted, gentle colours and delicate, feminine chipboards.

Those designer cherry blossoms are just divine!

I mean, seriously, how cute is that itty bitty Island mint one?! The sweetest embellishment.

Let's have a closer peak....

Oh, it really is the sweetest lil flower!

I've inked my tiny blossom in Kaisercraft: Island, the medium size in Ingvild Bolme: Mint, & the largest blossom, as well as the intricate tiny butterflies, are inked in Kaisercraft: Petal. Really soft, gentle & super pretty!

That 'gorgeous' title is also inked in Island ......

Love how beautifully cut the chipboard script words are! The quality speaks for itself!

Here's a closer peak at the other tiny butterfly...

My background has been created with Lindys Magicals: Salt Water Taffy & Fuzzy Navel Peach, and a few white embossed butterflies to enhance the chippie ones!

Soft, elegant and such a lovely girly page -

despite Totally RAD being for the boys.

Demonstrating just how essential our chipboards are for attaining the perfect page!
