Pebbles: Happy Day with Along The Way!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Pebbles inspiration!
Today I am sharing a really beautiful layout with our adorable Along The Way collection
With so many pretty patterns and such a delightful color scheme,
it's an absolute joy to memory keep with!
And this lovely layout is both effective and super easy to recreate at home!
But enough chatter, here's my lovely page....

"Happy Day"

Oh so pretty, indeed! Clean, & contemporary design with a soft, feminine twist!
Here's how to recreate this layout....

Start by adhering 5 tags from the Along The Way Tags pk to the right hand side of white 12" cardstock, as shown above. I adore this sweet pack of tags and just had to feature some of them in my layouts!

Next, trim the reverse side of pattern paper Flutter (blue with polka dots print) to 3 1/4" x 12" and attach to the right hand side, being sure to cover the prints on the Tags.  Then, trim Flutter to 2 3/4" x 12", mount with foam tape and attach from the right hand side also. This creates a raised paper overlay onto the polka dots print, and looks so impressive! A great point of interest to the right side of the layout, and such a wonderful way to showcase that divine Flutter paper!
Time to create the photo cluster....

Trim the reverse side of pattern paper Flutter to 4" x 3", and then trim the reverse side of Window Box to 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" and glue them together. Attach another of the Tags beneath the paper layers, as shown above. Glue your smaller size photo (mine was 2" 2 1/2" size) & embellish with an Ephemera sentiment. I applied foam dots to the Ephemera to make sure it was easy to see against the pattern papers.

Align this photo cluster beside the center Tag on the layout, and tape into position.

Tuck a couple of Ephemera leaves into the photo cluster. Embellish over the cluster with the pretty girl Ephemera. Again, I used foam dots to ensure this adornment was easily identified.

Embellish with butterflies! I used two of the 6" x 12" Cardstock Stickers butterflies, as well as that gorgeous Dimensional Sticker one! So pretty!

Add a title with the gold foil Katherine Thickers, and a few tiny spots of journaling with Phrase Stickers.

Tuck a floral sticker beneath the right hand corner of the photo, and add the extra pretty girl Cardstock Sticker. For finishing touches, add the smile always heart Cardstock Sticker, a baker's twine bow to the photo cluster tag and a scattering of pastel pink sequins.

Such a lovely page to document the oh so pretty person in your life!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with the beautiful Along The Way collection!

Thanks so much for visiting,
Happy Arty Days,

Pebbles: Forever My Always, Valentine!

Hi Creatives!
My turn on the Pebbles blog, & today I am sharing some Valentine's Day card inspiration with the gorgeous Forever My Always collection!
I just adore this holiday!
Nothing more beautiful than proclaiming your love (or secret admiration) to that special someone!
I am so blessed to have three very special people in my life; a loving husband, and two darling children! I have created a trio of Forever My Always cards to surprise them with....

Oh aren't they something?!  3 pattern papers, three very pretty cards!
Here's how to recreate them!
Start with trimming up pattern paper, XOXO Quotes. The 3x4 journal cards on this paper make card making a dream! Select which sentiments work best for your beloved - everything in this line coordinates beautifully, so any of the XOXO Quote cards will be perfect!

Tip: I even trim the reverse (pattern side) of the barcode strip, to use in my cards too!

My card 'planning' starts off by arranging pattern papers with the trimmed 3x4 journal cards, and a few pieces of ephemera....

I like to shuffle my pattern papers around and make sure I'm happy with my design before I start gluing.
I just LOVE the combination of the diagonal stripe paper, Follow Your Heart and floral print, Sprinkled Blossoms, so I decide to use them as my feature papers on all 3 cards.
Here's my first card which is for my One True Love, "I Think About You A Lot"....

SO pretty!
To recreate:
1.Trim pattern paper Follow Your Hear to 8 1/4" wide x 6" long. Score and fold in half to create your 4" x 6" card.
2. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 4" wide x 3 1/2 " long.
3. Adhere pattern papers together ( as shown below)

4. Tape the journal card and ephemera into position. Use adhesive foam dots for the sentiment, to make it 'pop'.
5. Embellish with a sewn button, and some fabulous Forever My Always 6 x 12 Stickers. Voila!

Absolutely perfect, indeed!
Next up is this fun Valentine for my tween-age daughter, "Heart Mail".....

Still loved up and oh-so-pretty,  but much cooler for a young girl!
Here's how:
1. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 8 1/4" wide x 6" long. Score and fold in half to create card base.
2. Trim pattern paper Follow Your Heart to 3 3/4" wide x 5 1/2" long.
3. Attach pink satin ribbon to Follow Your Heart Paper, & then attach the XOXO Quotes sentiment card. Using the same ribbon, add a bow to the top of the 3 x 4 card. (shown below)

Tip: To make this card less formal and more 'young 'n' fun', I use my Becky Higgins Project Life Corner Rounder Punch on my 3 x 4 card. Such a simple, but effective result!
4. Using thick foam tape, attach the Follow Your Heart embellished paper to the Sprinkled Blossoms card base.
5. Embellish with the Heart Mail 6 x 12 Sticker & a few buttons from your sewing kit.

Love it!
Last, but by no means least, is this lovely card for my darling Mister 5, "You're Pretty Much My Favorite Person"....

This is just gorgeous!
1. Trim white cardstock to 8 1/4" wide x 6" long. Score and fold in half to create card base.
2. Trim pattern paper Sprinkled Blossoms to 4" wide x 3 3/4" long.
3. Trim pattern paper Follow Your Heart to 3 1/2" wide x 5 1/2" long.

4. Tape the Sprinkled Blossoms paper to the bottom of the cardstock base. Attach satin ribbon to Follow Your Heart paper, and then tape this pattern paper over the top of the Sprinkled Blossoms and white cardstock base, as shown below.

5. Apply foam dots to the XOXO Quotes 3 x 4 card, and then position over the ribbon trim.
6. Embellish with lace trim, button & twine and another of those fabulous 6 x 12 Stickers.

Voila! Three papers, 3 very special Valentine's Day cards.

I hope I have inspired you to get creating with our beautiful Forever My Always collection!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Imaginarium Designs: October Creating & A Tutorial!

Hello Friends!

Welcome back for more Imaginarium Designs chipboard inspiration!
Today I am sharing a quick tutorial that demonstrates some really effective ways to dress up your chipboard. I'm also sharing a special cultural page dedicated to all my Japanese friends too!
With so much wonderfulness to share, I better get straight into it!

Here's my first layout,
"A Moment In Time"

Naww! I {heart} this moment! My heart is full, indeed!
I've used the delicate and soft Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Love Always collection and teamed it up with some of our favourite chipboard designs, & Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals to create this wonderful page.
Let's take a closer look.....

So much chipboard prettiness!

How awesome is that delicate title?!

And how about that sweet lil birdy?!!
I mean, can it get any cuter?!

Wanna know more?
Well, here's a step by step process of how I created this page.....

I start by playing around with my photo, papers and chipboard til I come up with a 'base' plan.
I like to have a good idea of where I am going before I start getting messy.
You'll notice that the frame I use is actually the Family Snap Shots Frame with the inner removed. I plan to cover the cut out word with pattern paper.

I glue my heart, as well as the frame, onto my pattern paper. I cut out the design with a craft knife, and then file down the edges with a sanding tool.

This is the result. Love it! Papering over chipboard is such a fun way to dress it up!

I decide to use white embossing powder for that pretty heart - I love the gloss finish that heat embossing gives to your chipboard!

And lastly, I apply my favourite juicy inks to the remaining chipboards. The colours are Silver, Petal Pink & Seafoam.

Now time to assemble the layout.....

I start by applying gesso and Lindy's Magicals in Tiffanylou's Blue, with a palette knife in a circular fashion.
I also add a few watered down drips and splatters to soften the gesso shapes. Allow to dry.

I assemble the smaller RH corner embellishment cluster first.
I glue the papered heart down, and then layer this chipboard with a tag, that sweet little seafoam bird and an accent vellum shape.
I add the tiny hearts for balance.

I decide it looks unfinished, so I dress the papered heart with a sentiment and add a little thread too.

I move onto my photo cluster now. I layer my photo onto a few of those pretty Love Always pattern papers. I slide my embossed heart into the pattern paper layers and glue everything into place.

Next, I attach the frame to my photo. I dress that frame up a bit more with a sweet flair button and an acrylic bow charm - also from the Love Always collection.

I embellish around the frame with some Cocoa Vanilla Studio Die Cut Ephemera and Bits n Pieces. I love the tassels that come in the Bit n Pieces pkt!
I also glue down that tiny, silver title, "A Moment In Time" just beneath my frame. Gorgeous!!!
Here's an extra look at that sweet title....

Love it!

I decide to add a little more thread - just beneath that ephemera cluster. I then attach those darling little hand drawn hearts by Natalie.

You'll notice that I position one of the tiny hearts onto the embossed heart - this time layering my chipboard with more chipboard. Love this look!

To complete my layout, I add a few Accessory Stickers and those incredible silver Sparkles-Enamel Dots.
Voila!

One very pretty layout packed full of ideas on how to dress your chipboards!
Hope you enjoyed my process / step by step layout!

My other layout that I am sharing today is really special.
My daughter recently undertook an inquiry into the history, and culture of Japan. It was a wonderful learning journey and included a day where she wore this aaaahmazing Kimono and shared her discoveries about the Cherry Blossom Festival. Naturally I took lots of photos!

Here's the resulting layout,
"Fairytale Life"

I know, how special is this?!!
Loving everything about this layout!
That cherry blossom paper is just perfection for this page!
And take a look at those divine blossom chipboards!!!
The culture of Japan really is a beautiful story

Here's a closer look at those pretty chippies.....

That title! SO exquisitely cut that I needed to do it justice.
I inked it in ombre pinks, and then coated the lighter word 'Fairytale' in Glitzin Glamour Hot Pink. Love the glitter shimmer!!!

I used the ombre technique on the smaller blossom too, and then finished it with a rose gemstone.
The branch with leaves chipboards have both been heat embossed in white. The smaller one has also been embellished with some tiny blossom stickers. So very pretty!!!

The larger blossom is inked in Rose Red, and then also finished off with a rose gemstone center.

It's just so very beautiful!

Hope you liked this sweet, girly, pink page as much as I do!

Thankyou so very much for visiting today!
Til next time,

Happy Arty Days,
