Elle's Studio: More January Kit Inspiration!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!
I just can't stop creating with the gorgeous January Kit & new releases!
I know I say it every month, but honestly, this month's products are just incredible!
The proof is that this is my 5th scrapbook layout that I've created with these supplies!
 Yes, 5th! It's that good!
And before you ask, you bet I used the Happy Heart Stamp!
I've stamped all.the.things this month! I la la LOVE this stamp!

I created a lot of loved up Valentine's inspired projects, but today I want to demonstrate the versatility of these awesome products!
So enough of the chatter, here's my latest layout to inspire you with.....

"#Besties 4 Eva"

Wow! Isn't this fun! Besties forever, indeed!

Other Supplies: White Bazzill cardstock, machine stitching, staples, Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink in Sunshine Yellow & Black.

For this layout, I was totally inspired by my sweet photograph of my daughter & niece. The great mix of  colors and designs in the January kit allowed me to draw on the near black of my niece's hair, the gray of my daughter's tee, & that golden butterflies filter! The movement of the butterflies in the photo also influenced the flow and movement of my design.
Let's take a closer look.....

I started this layout with the fabulous yellow striped pattern paper from the Noteworthy collection. I layered a sheet of torn white cardstock over it, inserted a couple of 3 x 4 cards into the layer, and stitched & stapled it all into place.

I featured the dominant yellow stripes on the left, to encourage your eye to move across my layout, left to right. The Happy Heart stamped yellow base adds to the directional flow, and further guides you across my page. I selected all the yellow acetate hearts & stars from the Heart & Star Acetate Die Cuts pack and aligned them with the stamped base also.

To complete the base, I embellished with lots of stickers, die cuts and veneers! I love the layered Wood Veneers Hearts over the acetate hearts - so cool! I also loved the confetti style look of the stamp, so I tried to arrange my embellishments in a similar fashion. For a more interesting & striking effect, I added a few black icon stamps as well. The pops of black balance the bright yellow perfectly!

For my photo cluster, I layered more of the 3 x 4 journal cards from the January Kit, and then tucked in a few labels, stickers and even one of the acetate hearts. I embellished my photo with a Sweetheart Puffy Sticker & that divine Wood Veneer Heart!

For finishing touches, I included a few sentiment die cuts and the Happiness Found Stickers. Last but by no means least, I added my mixed alphas title!
I used the extremely versatile and everyday essential, black Jane Alphabet Stickers for the #Besties part. Love these stickers!
And for the remaining title, I used the super cute Black & White Polka Dot Alphabet Puffy Stickers. Perfect!

The January Kit is jam packed with all kinds of awesomeness!
I hope my layout has shown you it's versatility for creating, & inspired you to take some inspiration from your photographs too!

Thanks so much for joining me today!
til next time,

Elle's Studio: Happy Heart Stamp Spotlight!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for even more Elle's Studio inspiration!
Today I am sharing more of the Happy Heart Stamp LOVE!!!
We all know that Elle's Studio offer premium, high end, clear stamps but this latest stamp is my absolute, hands down, number one new favorite!!!!
And here's exactly why...

Oh.my.heart!!! Stamping never looked so impressive!
Absolutely sensational!

Other Supplies: White Bazzill cardstock, Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink - Red, Umbrella Crafts Premium Dye Ink - Purple, Ranger Ink: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Picked Raspberry, Staz On - Black, Shimmerz Paints Vibez - Princess, Sweet Heart & Razzeldazzel Berry, White Tissue Paper.

Here's a better look at that stamped background for you.....

Ahh-MAZING! Happy heart, indeed!
I start this background by applying shimmering ink sprays in pinks and purples with the packaging technique. I also apply them to form a triangle shape, and fade out as they reach the edge of the left hand side. I use these very same colors to add splatters and droplets too!
Once dry, I take the confetti / polka dot like stamp and repeat stamp it in red, purple and raspberry inks. I pay particular attention to the edges of my mixed media color work, so it creates the appearance of even more paint splatters.

Next, I apply the larger heart stamps around the painty edges, using raspberry ink for the striped heart & purple ink for the open heart. Using the same purple ink, I repeat stamp the Love You sentiment, and for added interest, I even print it inside two of the open hearts.

I repeat stamp the XO with the raspberry ink, ensuring that it's bold in some prints and really faded out in others. The heart icon stamp is applied in the same fashion, but with red stamp ink instead.
I have kept to the same red, purple & raspberry inks as this type of stamping can get a lil messy, and I don't want my background to distract from my photo! Using similar and like colors in mixed media backgrounds aids to soften the busy appearance. The colors tend to compliment each other and blend more.
For a more noticeable print, & to cut through all that sweet color work, I use black ink for the Love This stamp. So striking!

I also ink up the Wood Veneer Hearts, and strategically arrange them around my photograph so that they repeat the triangular form of the mixed media background. Repeating patterns, shape and form is very aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Repetition in this layout design avoids the mixed media base from appearing too messy or over done.

My photo is backed with blue & purple papers from the 6 x 6 All My Heart Paper Stack, some distressed white tissue paper, a label, tag and sticker or two from the January Kit and new releases. I've kept the layering simple as there's quite enough visual stimulation with that amazing stamped background.

For finishing touches, I apply the Black Puffy Alphabet Stickers for my rather apt title, #lovefiercely
Lol, his face says it all!

Stamping magic!!!

And last, but by no means least,
here's a peek at the monthly Printables & Digital Cut Files....

Yep, January is all kinds of awesome!!!

Here's my first two layouts created with these divine products,

"Happy Days"

So soft & sweet! Such a beautiful Dad & Daughter moment!

Other Supplies: Sewing Machine, Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Peacock, Umbrella Crafts Ink: Sky Blue, Umbrella Crafts Ink: Mint

Here's a closer look for you....

Interactive elements are so much fun, & I just adore that sweet hidden journaling pocket!

And while we're having a closer look, how awesome are stamps?!!
They're all from the Happy Heart Stamp (which I just can't get enough of!)
Those puffy stickers are pretty cool too!

So.much.gorgeousness here!
The blue Love This heart has been fussy cut from one of the January 2019 Kit cards, and coordinates beautifully with the blue pattern paper from the All My Heart 6 x 6 Paper Stack.
I have also repeat stamped the camera icon in mint ink to match the one in the die cut!
I use the Sweetheart Puffy Stickers and XO Wood Confetti to complete my page. Love it!

My second layout also features that amazing Happy Heart Stamp.....

"Happy Heart"

Whoa! So awesome!
I have used the confetti style stamp from the Happy Heart Stamp set to create that incredible semi-circle base, as well as add heart icons, sentiments and those striking X's and O's!

Other Supplies: Tim Holtz Distress Ink: Picked Raspberry, Umbrella Crafts Ink: Pink, Umbrella Crafts Ink: Ruby, StazOn: Black.

Here's a closer look....

I use the black heart strings die cuts to create a banner that follows around the stamped semi-circle. I fussy cut the large XO from one of the January 2019 Kit cards and add it to my banner.

Such a fun & inventive way to use the 3 x 4 cards if you're not a pocket page memory keeper!

I am loving the Linked Wood Veneer Hearts
They serve as both a fabulous photo frame and anchor to my page design. The use of veneer on this cool and striking page, really adds balance and warmth.
I embellish with all.the.things around and even on, my semi-circle. SO effective!

Omgoodness! So adorable! Too cute, indeed!
Love the Sweetheart Puffy Sticker that adorns my linked hearts frame - adding both color, dimension and gentle texture to my layout.
But again, it's the Happy Heart Stamp that I'm totally crushing on....

These stamps are errrrything!!!!
And stamped in black ink, they're SO striking!
Oh, and how cute is that layered Acetate Heart?!
Totally gor-jus!!!
