Pebbles: Spooky Boo & Pumpkins Theme Post!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Pebbles Halloween inspiration, with the super cute Spooky Boo! collection!
Today I am sharing my take on the Pebbles DT assignment: pumpkins theme!
 Hope you like it....

"Trick Or Treat: Boo!"

Eeek! Isn't this the cutest for Halloween?!
Totally Spook-tacular! & just check out all those amazing pumpkins!

And here's how easy it is to recreate this page....

1. Mount an 11" x 11" sheet of white cardstock onto pattern paper, Sweet Tooth.

2. Use your digital cutting machine to cut out the Paige Evans' Pumpkin Wreath cut file in white cardstock. Back the pumpkins with pattern papers Hocus Pocus, & the reverse side of Sweet Tooth. Leave a few of the cut pumpkins 'open' and without any backing, too.

3. Use watercolor paints to outline a few orange & yellow circles in the center of the background, as shown above. Add a few tiny splatters for interest.

4. While the paint dries, attach your spooky Halloween photograph to the Pumpkin Wreath cut file.

5. Position wreath onto the background paper and painted circles, then glue into place.

6. Embellish the photo cluster (& bottom right quadrant of the layout) with Cardstock Shapes die cuts, and 6 x 12 Accent Stickers. You'll spy lots of pumpkins here too!

7. Continue to embellish this quadrant with more stickers, including the fabulous Spooky Boo Puffy Stickers.

8. Use the Maggie Thickers to add a title - BOO! & add a few more Puffy Stickers for good measure!

Voila!

A really BOO-tiful Halloween memory documented, and featuring all.the.pumpkin.things!!!
Here's a few close ups for you....

Pure pumpkin perfection!!!

I just adore the the super cute mummy and skeleton Accent Stickers here - adorable!

SO much spooky fun!

Pebbles: Fall Memory Keeping with Spooky Boo!

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing the Pebbles love,
with a super sweet Fall themed layout!
Created with the new Spooky Boo line, the warm tones and pretty plaids are sure to win your heart!
Here's my layout....

"Dream Big"

Isn't this Halloween line just perfect for Fall memory keeping?! I was totally inspired by the Falling Leaves paper, as well as the plaid patterns, and my own memories of quilting and sewing in the cooler months. I love that this fun geometric heart design has a cut file appearance, but is actually created from hand cutting!
Here's how to recreate it....

Start by preparing the layout base. I select pattern paper Falling Leaves ,
and layer it with an 11" x 11" white cardstock background.

Next, select your Spooky Boo pattern papers, and then trim at least five  3"x 3" squares. I chose papers Meow, Hocus Pocus, Hey Pumpkin & Falling Leaves for my layout.

Trim each 3 inch square into equal triangle quarters by cutting diagonally.

Take the triangles and arrange them into a geometric heart design. Play around with the patterns & design, and once happy glue into place.

Prepare your photograph. I use a layer of vintage book paper, and those super cute pumpkins from the Printed Cardstock Shapes pack. These pumpkins are actually Jack-o-Lanterns with spooky faces, so I strategically covered them with the sentiment and blooms. Perfect!

Adhere your photograph to the geometric heart.

Embellish around the photo with more Printed Cardstock Shapes, as well as that gorgeous Wood Sticker from the Jen Hadfield Patio Party collection. The inclusion of the wooden embellishment really adds to the warm, outdoorsy, Fall feel of the layout.

Add the layout title and subtitle, with the Patio Party Thickers. Again, the wooden appearance really emphasises the  Fall look.

I even add a few of the laurel leaves from the Patio Party Thickers into my photo cluster.

So simple, and yet, oh so beauti-Fall!

In keeping with the quilted look, I also embellish with buttons and sequins from my sewing box. Cute!
I add the gold stars from the Printed Cardstock Shapes pack, as well as a few tiny butterflies which I fussy cut from the barcode trim on the bottom of the Falling Leaves pattern paper.
For final touches, I use my WeRMemoryKeepers Typewriter to add a little journaling beneath my photograph.

Voila!
A lovely seasonal page that's super easy to recreate! Love it!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with the beautiful Pebbles products!

Pebbles: A Boo-tiful Halloween Gift Tutorial

Hi Friends!

My turn to share a lil Pebbles love
& today I am sharing a super sweet Halloween decor item that makes for a spook-tacular gift!
I LOVE Halloween,
& the new Spooky Boo collection is just perfect for Halloween cards,
decor & memory keeping!
Here's the gift I'm sharing today.....

Trick or Treat!!!
 How fun is this?!!
Not everyone in my neighborhood celebrates this holiday, so to let Trick Or Treaters know if it's ok to visit, we all hang a wreath, banner or decorative item on our front doors.
I thought this cute door hanger would be a perfect gift for our new neighbors across the street.
I hope they like it!

Here's how to make one of your own....

Start by trimming a sheet of chipboard into a 5" wide triangle with an 8" point. Cover both sides with your fave papers from the Spooky Boo collection.
I chose the reverse side of HOCUS POCUS for the front side, and SWEET TOOTH for the back.
Use your We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile, or similar tool, to punch holes in the top corners of the triangle.

To add that 'Halloween' feel, (& hide those ugly chipboard edges) apply METALLIC CREAM CHALK in black to the edges of the triangle.

Insert burlap ribbon into the holes, tying it off with knots to create the 'handle'. I use burlap as it's quite sturdy and won't perish easily!
Use 1"wide black ribbon to create the fancy concertina trim at the top of the triangle.

Kinda looks like a carrot as this stage, LOL!
However, once we start embellishing the triangle you'll barely see that orange base!

Embellish with faux spiders web (stretched cotton wool), and one of the smaller WALL BATS in the center of the triangle.

Next, foam mount PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPES on top of one another to create a focal point. I love the framed witch silhouette supported by the little bat ephemera, but there are tons of options in the PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPES pack to choose from!
Here's a closer look for you.....

Lookin' boo-tiful already! But it really needs more.......

For my gift, the 'Trick Or Treat' sentiment is a perfect adornment to the top of my decorative door hanger, but again many of the PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPES or 6" x 12" ACCENT STICKERS would work for personalizing your decor!

I also tuck a few PRINTED CARDSTOCK SHAPES into the top of the focal point. Now it's starting to look super spooky!!!

Add more ribbon & trim to the 'handle', as well as a length of ribbon at the triangle point. Adorn the ribbon with more cobwebs, and for finishing touches
attach those fabulously freaky WALL SPIDERS.

Witches, spiders, bats, & pumpkins - totally CREEPIN IT REAL!!!
Here's how it looks hanging on the door.....

Say Boo!

A spook-tacular Halloween gift that really does say Boo!
I hope I have inspired you to get started on your Halloween crafts with the new
Spooky Boo collection today!
