Elle's Studio: Product Focus: Pocket Envelope Metal Die Set

Hi Crafty Friends!

Welcome back for even more Elle's Studio awesomeness!

Today I am shining the product spotlight on the brand new Pocket Envelope Metal Die!

As the name suggests, this fabulous die set is designed to create envelopes that fit inside a pocket page album - awesome, right? However, like all Elle's Studio products, they have been expertly designed to meet the needs of a variety of crafters!

This die set is great for creating cards, happy mail packages, and even mini albums! For today's post, I wanted to share how I used the Pocket Envelope Metal Die to create an interactive, hidden journaling scrapbook page! Such a versatile little die!

"Good Times" - 12 x 12inch scrapbook layout

Oh, how cool is this?! Rainbow envelopes for the win!

Let's take a better look...

Such a bright and fun page, and this is only enhanced by the colorful pattern papers from both the Adventure & Good Times 6 x 8.5inch Paper Stacks.
I organized my pocket envelopes into rainbow order, and labelled each one with the coordinating day of the week chipboard circle stickers.

I've also hidden a little note and or story for my son inside each of the envelopes - kind of like an Advent calendar with a lil surprise waiting inside! I love hidden journaling, and this is such a simple and effective way to incorporate more of it into my memory keeping pages. It's also really fun for my son to play and interact with his albums and find new joy in past memories too!

In true ROYGBIV style, I ended the rainbow with a violet envelope. I tucked this one under my son's photograph, because he is the gold at the end of my rainbow! I also sprinkled some of the acrylic stars through my photo cluster in rainbow order too!

Favorite indeed! This boy has such an amazing spirit and heart - he is our happy and our 'Good Times'. The Proud Of You Die Cuts communicated this sentiment perfectly!

Unlike the other pocket envelopes, I left the purple one open revealing the note card tucked inside. This is designed so my son would see it, and be encouraged to pull out the card.

I embellished his photo cluster with a mix of die cuts, and chipboard stickers but my favorite adornment is that fussy cut pie chart from the August Kit - so cool!

Everything about this page is so carefully considered, and is so beautiful in it's simplicity. And all because of one very small, but very versatile Pocket Envelope Metal Die! What will you create with yours? The possibilities are endless!

I hope my project inspired you today!

Elle's Studio: Product Focus: May Kit plus Knockout Words Die Set

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio awesomeness!

Today I'm shining the product spotlight on one of my favorite, must-have items from the May release - the fabulous Knockout Words Metal Die Set!

This metal die set is absolutely aaah-may-zing and perfect for all types crafty projects!

The Knockout Words Metal Die is great for creating shaker pocket words & titles, card sentiments, making your own star and heart embellishments, and even decorating PL pocket pages with! But for today's post, I'm sharing how simple it is to incorporate this Metal Die Set into your everyday memory keeping pages!

Here's what I've created with the Knockout Words Metal Die

"Favorite Moment" - 12x12inch scrapbook layout

Oh how sweet & fun! Favorite moment, indeed!

Other Supplies: White Bazzill Cardstock - Avalanche, & Sewing Machine Stitching.

Let's take a closer look at how I've used the Knockout Words Metal Die in three different ways on my layout...

1. Create a big title that packs some punch!

I couldn't resist using the negative cuts from the Knockout Words Metal Dies to form my 'favorite moment' title with the Good Times Paper Stack. I used the deep blue pattern paper to make this punched out title look even more striking and effective! I could have also backed these die cut words with another pattern paper or even some clear acetate, but instead I opted to messily machine stitch through mine to compliment my overall page design.

2. Create your own custom embellishments!

With such a loving theme to my page's story, it was an obvious decision to make my own heart die cuts from the heart shaped Knockout die. Again, I used a Good Times pattern paper with the die set, but cork, vellum and fabric would have been a terrific option for this too! The star die in the Knockout Words Metal Die set could also incorporated this way.

In keeping with my distressed and messily machine stitched page, I also stitched my custom created hearts onto my layout. Repetition and continuity in design is everything to me!

3. Use the Knockout Words alphas to create your own sentiments/journaling!

Beneath my photo cluster is the machine stitched, & die cut sentiment 'love you more', which I created from combining the Love You, Favorite and Moment word dies. I rearranged the die cut alphas to make a phrase/sentiment that suited my story and needs - simple but such a great way to maximize this versatile metal die set!

Simple, striking and really easy ideas to use the Knockout Words Metal Die set in your everyday scrapbook projects!

I really hope my project has inspired you to get creating with this awesome die set today!

Elle's Studio: Product Highlight: Everyday Phrases Stamp

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!

For today's post I am shining the spotlight on the fabulous new Everyday Phrases Stamp!
As the name suggests, this stamp is all phrases & oh-so cool!
Here's what I've created with it today.....

"Heart Eyes For This"

Whoa! Who would've thought that stamped words could have such impact!
I've taken inspiration from the veneer & vellum asterisks from the July new releases, and repeat stamped in this style.
Such a fun way to create a background, and make the most of your stamp sets!

To emphasize the asterisk style, I have also layered some of the veneers and vellum pieces onto the stamp centers.

To compliment my seaside photograph, I used inks in sky blue, aquamarine, & cobalt to imitate the ocean.

Repeat stamping is such a fun technique to use to create card and layout backgrounds!

I hope I have inspired you to give this stamping technique a try today!

Elle's Studio: February Product Highlight: XOXO Stamp

Hi Lovelies!

It's a new month and I have so many gorgeous new Elle's Studio projects to share with you all!

Today's Product Highlight post is all about our gorgeous XOXO Stamp,
and I've teamed it up with our stunning January Kit and New Releases.
Before we get started, here's a quick look at our January Kit......

And those delighful add ons (including the XOXO Stamp)

Awesome!

So today, I'm getting inky!
Well, at least my fingers are! Lol!
Have you checked out our fabulous XOXO Stamp yet?!
It's all kinds of awesome and would suit a variety of projects and creations!

I've created a traditional 12 x 12 layout with it today, and oh me oh my, this was SO much fun!!!

"Love You"

I told you that stamp was all kinds of awesome! ;)

For my layout background, I start with a quick mist of Shimmerz Paints: Vibez in Sweet Heart & Princess.
As soon as it dries, I repeat stamp the tiny hearts & xo's cluster stamp in a coordinating purple ink pad color. I do this throughout the inky base area - trying to keep it uneven and less structured.
This builds interest and color to the base, and draws your eye into my super sweet photograph.

For my larger, hand drawn heart stamps & title love you, I stamp onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using a variety of pinks, reds, and purple ink cubes.
I love stamping this way as I can fussy cut the stamped images that I am happy with, and arrange on my layout without any mess, or stress!

That title is really stunning.....

And by keeping the white cardstock rim, it still stands out despite the similarly colored background. Such a simple but effective technique to try with our clear stamps.
Here's another view for you -  I just adore that sweet arrow!!!

I think you'll agree with me that the XOXO Stamp is just divine!!!
I complete my layout with our gorgeous January Kit items, XOXO 6 x 6 Paper Stack, Love You Die Cuts and Hugs & Kisses Puffy Stickers. Perfection!

I hope I have inspired you to give the fabulous Elle's Studio XOXO Stamp a try!
You wont regret it!
