Hi Paper Friends!

Welcome back for the first Paper Issues Product Spotlight of 2018!

Yay!!!

This month we're shining the spotlight on all things New Year!

Think NYE, New Year's Resolutions, Goals, Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018, A "new" you, plans etc....
Tell us what 2018 holds for you or what you are leaving behind or grateful for in 2017.
Fun, huh?!
Here's what I came up with.....

"2018 Good Vibes"

Isn't this cute?!
A playful page to remind lil ole me that not everything has to be serious; let go and have some fun in 2018!
#yougotthis  No Stress! LOL!
January is all about the stashbusting for me, so I've dived into my left over Pebbles: Girl Squad collection, as well as a few bits n bobs from the September Swag Bag to create this layout.
I love all the gold foil stickers and cute ephemera from the Girl Squad line!
Here's a closer look for you......

How CUTE is that Frenchie?! Adorable!
And nothing but Good Vibes for the New Year!

Well... my love of coffee & Fri-YAYs may be very serious! Ha!

Fun layers and sweet embellishments for this super happy page!

And there you have it!

Paper Issues: January New Issue Monday!

Hi Creative Friends!

Happy New Year!
I hope that 2018 brings you much happiness & joy!

Paper Issues are kicking off the New Year with a brand New Issue...

The January issue is....

We're Off To A Fresh Start

Suggested ideas:
 Pages about your plans/intentions/resolutions for the new year;
Use "2018" on your project;
How did you ring in New Year's Eve;
Share any project you'd like — anything goes.

Here's what I created,

"Wonderful"

Isn't this stunning?! I love that photo of me and my darling daughter - such happy times!
My layout is inspired by our New Year's intentions to reach for the stars, as well as making this year our time to shine.
To start off the New Year 'fresh' I am also stash busting all my left over collections. For this layout I have used the super pretty Dear Lizzy Stargazer collection.
That incredible constellation pattern paper is called Magical (& isn't it just!)
That colour is just divine!

Here's a closer look for you.........

So many awesome embellishments in this collection! From cute flair, to Wood Icon Paper Clips, and even those 6 x 12 Cardstock Stickers - love it all!

Wonderful, indeed!!!

And there you have it!
My take on this month's New Issue!

Pebbles: New Year's Resolutions with Happy Hooray!

Hi Paper Loving Friends!
I trust that you all had a very Merry Christmas and are now preparing for all the New Year festivities!
One of my resolutions this year is to inspire my daughter with a new scrapbook album that offers inspiration, affirmations and general messages for strength and gratitude. For the first page of her album, I wanted to remind her of her own resolutions for the year; to be brave, live fully and be bold!

The Pebbles Happy Hooray collection is so bright, and playful, and just perfect for this happy message layout!

Isn't this fabulous?! Live (color)fully, I say!
I begin my layout with that fabulous diagonal stripe paper, Rainbowtastic! I trim this paper to the 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch size, and then cut my white cardstock to 7 1/2 inch by 10 inch. Before I attach the two sheets together, I use the Silhouette Cameo Sketch Pens to draw my title in pink ink.
I then hand colour my sketch pen title with watercolor paints, which I try to color match with the patterned paper. I add a gentle flick of pink and blue paint for interest.
Once dry, I use my sewing machine to stitch the cardstock to the pattern paper.

I embellish the top of my layout with the Thicker Stickers banners, as well as that super cute Die Cut speech bubble! And decorate the title with a couple Die Cut stars.

My photo is 2 1/2 inch by 3 inch size, and is mounted onto pattern papers, Beary Sweet and Eat Cake. I partially secure it down with a strip of the rainbow striped Happy Hooray Washi Tape, and use my favourite Sticky Thumb Marathon Runner tape to finish the job.
Foam Dots are added to my sentiment Die Cut, and positioned onto my photograph as a subtitle. Celebrate life!
And nothing says celebrate more than scattered confetti sprinkles!
(aren't those Enamel Sprinkle Stickers the best?!!!)
My final touch is to use my Typecast Typewriter to print my 'be bold' sentiment. Perfect!

Such a beautiful page for my darling daughter! I hope it has inspired you to start thinking of your resolutions for 2018, and how to document them.

Happy New Year!

Paper Issues: Pinspire Me January

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for a lil Paper Issues Pinspiration!
Just check out the fabulous mood board for January - it's a golden delight!

So much shiny, glittery goodness! Love me some gold!

Here's my layout,

"ADORBS"

Isn't this the sweetest?!
I've totally fallen for all those golden hues, and the vertical typography in the mood board!
And if you're going for gold, you really must feature Fancy Pants Designs: Golden Days collection.
I just adore this line, and it was a perfect choice for this challenge!
Let's take a closer look.....

Look at all the pretty gold foil embellishments on this layout!!!
That flair is just divine!!!
I am also loving the golden puffy stickers to no end.....

As my layout is all about my gorgeous darlings playing at the park, I've teamed all the gold with woodgrain to keep with a 'natural' feel. The woodgrain alphas are my fave!
The vertical design is totally inspired by the list on the mood board, and those gold acetate swirls are meant to reflect the sparklers!
Here's another look......

Make A Wish, indeed! How sweet life is!

Hope my layout has inspired you to get creating, & play along!
