Elle's Studio: Product Focus: Pocket Envelope Metal Die Set

Hi Crafty Friends!

Welcome back for even more Elle's Studio awesomeness!

Today I am shining the product spotlight on the brand new Pocket Envelope Metal Die!

As the name suggests, this fabulous die set is designed to create envelopes that fit inside a pocket page album - awesome, right? However, like all Elle's Studio products, they have been expertly designed to meet the needs of a variety of crafters!

This die set is great for creating cards, happy mail packages, and even mini albums! For today's post, I wanted to share how I used the Pocket Envelope Metal Die to create an interactive, hidden journaling scrapbook page! Such a versatile little die!

"Good Times" - 12 x 12inch scrapbook layout

Oh, how cool is this?! Rainbow envelopes for the win!

Let's take a better look...

Such a bright and fun page, and this is only enhanced by the colorful pattern papers from both the Adventure & Good Times 6 x 8.5inch Paper Stacks.
I organized my pocket envelopes into rainbow order, and labelled each one with the coordinating day of the week chipboard circle stickers.

I've also hidden a little note and or story for my son inside each of the envelopes - kind of like an Advent calendar with a lil surprise waiting inside! I love hidden journaling, and this is such a simple and effective way to incorporate more of it into my memory keeping pages. It's also really fun for my son to play and interact with his albums and find new joy in past memories too!

In true ROYGBIV style, I ended the rainbow with a violet envelope. I tucked this one under my son's photograph, because he is the gold at the end of my rainbow! I also sprinkled some of the acrylic stars through my photo cluster in rainbow order too!

Favorite indeed! This boy has such an amazing spirit and heart - he is our happy and our 'Good Times'. The Proud Of You Die Cuts communicated this sentiment perfectly!

Unlike the other pocket envelopes, I left the purple one open revealing the note card tucked inside. This is designed so my son would see it, and be encouraged to pull out the card.

I embellished his photo cluster with a mix of die cuts, and chipboard stickers but my favorite adornment is that fussy cut pie chart from the August Kit - so cool!

Everything about this page is so carefully considered, and is so beautiful in it's simplicity. And all because of one very small, but very versatile Pocket Envelope Metal Die! What will you create with yours? The possibilities are endless!

I hope my project inspired you today!

Here's what I've created with these fabulous products so far....

"Love You To The Moon & Back, And Then Some"

Wow! Such an awesome page for my darling boy's album!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Avalanche & Lemonade

Let's take a closer look at my layout...

So.much.fun!!!
I just adore this sweet page!
You'll spy that I used the label cut file from the May Digital Cut Files to create my title. I enlarged this label to 9 inches wide & backed it with the blue pattern paper from the Flourish 6 x 8.5" Paper Stack. I embellished this title with black pen outline, Puffy Heart Stickers and one of the Cerulean Blue Puffy Alphabet Stickers.

SO cool! I love how effective this large title looks!

I used the same Elle's Studio Black Pen to draw the strings of stars on my background, and then embellished these 'strings' with more stars - die cut ephemera & fussy cuts, veneers, stamped stars and even Acrylic Stars to complete the look!

I positioned my darling boy & puppy's photo onto an array of layered note cards from the May 2020 Kit. I also tucked in a few pieces of coordinating Flourish papers too!
I covered the large moon wood veneer (from the To The Moon And Back Wood Veneer pack) with smooth yellow cardstock, and placed it onto my photo so that it appeared to 'cradle' my son.
For finishing touches I added that amazing mirror Acrylic Star, and a few more Puffy Stickers. Awesome!
Simple. Striking. Perfect for my boys!

And now it's time for something for my sweet girl!
Here's the layout I've created for her album,

"Story"

Wow!
So light, fresh & contemporary - love it!!!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Cardstock - Avalanche, Staz On - Black, Tissue Wrap, Pom Pom Trim, Sewing Machine & threads.

Here's a closer look at my layout....

Grid designs are always for the win, but combined with stacked note cards from the May 2020 Kit, and embellished with all.the.things - well, it's a guaranteed recipe for success!
To add a point of interest, and bring the quadrants closer, I distressed the left hand side of the page and machine stitched in a few of the Flourish 6 x 8.5" papers
I even tucked in a few die cuts and an Icon Chipboard Sticker to enhance this feature!
But its the grid quadrants that have my heart - there are just so many pretty details in each stack!

Life is good, indeed!
Each stack is positioned onto a peach watercolor base, and contains a mix of layered May Kit note cards, & tissue paper. I have embellished with Puffy Heart Stickers, Icon Chipboard Stickers, Die Cuts and even a few Printable elements! So cute!

How amazing is that Hello Sunshine Wood Veneer?!!
So impressive that I had to give it it's own stack, lol!
Adore this veneer! It would look amazing on cards or pocket pages too!

Such pretty details, and loving this color scheme to no end!

La la love this note card!
From that incredible Story Acrylic to the fabulous stamping - it's truly taking journaling & story telling to a whole new level!

Ahh-MAY-zing!!!

There are SO many possibilities with this month's kit and new release items.
Please be sure to check back here a lil later in the month for many inspirational ideas!

Elle's Studio: Scrap Your Stash Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio February Kit love!!!
I'm back to share more 'stretch your kit' or 'scrap your stash' inspiration while we eagerly await our new March products!

It's no secret that the February Kit and add on items have been firm favorites of mine - I mean, all.the.rainbows!!! La la looooooove! Seriously though, the February Kit and new releases are so good that I created up a storm and I am now truly maxmizing my 'left overs' to create one more scrapbook page for today's post!
Here's what I pulled together with my 'scraps'....

"I {heart} U"

Oh wow! What a bright & fun page!
You'd never know that I was struggling on a shortage of supplies! Such a clever design!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Avalanche Cardstock

Let's take a closer look at  my page,

Naww! Such a cute page for my darling boy!
As you already know, I used all.the.things earlier in the month and didn't have much left of anything - except those Teal Acetate Alphabet letters. I had a few of those but again, I'd used all the popular letters and there were not many word options left. The solution? Use them in a random, grid order to create a fun background for this otherwise minimalist design! Not only did this add a bright pop of color to my white base, the Teal Acetate Alphabet also created the appearance of  a 'full' page design - love it!

To add more color and interest to my design, I trimmed the left and right sides of my 8.5" x 11" layout with half inch strips of one of the Love Is 6" x 8.5" Paper Stack papers. To create the look of an 11" inch paper, I simply butted the strips together, careful to maintain the pattern design so the join wouldn't be visible. This is another great way to incorporate the appearance of more detail in your pages with only scraps of pattern paper in your stash!

With only a few of the note cards left over from my February Kit, I decided to use one that had a bright and colorful design, which enhanced the playfulness of my page. With so many bright details on my layout, I opted to use a black and white version of my photograph so that it would remain the focal point. For further emphasis, I foam mounted the note card so it really stood out over the rest of the page.

I raided the last of my February Kit Die Cuts and embellished my photograph and created that mini title with the purple heart and Coral Puffy Alphabet Stickers. Love it! The Coral Puffy Alphabet Stickers are complementary to the Teal Acetate Alphabet and really pop!

To 'fill' the gaps in this simple design, I gathered all my 'left over' stickers and positioned them on and around that fun Teal Acetate Alphabet base. I used the Be Happy Stickers as both journaling spots and to cut through some of the pop color. This helped to create balance, and encouraged flow and movement into the design. The inclusion of the Puffy Rainbow Stickers really strengthened the whimsical and playful theme of my page too!

It's the Little Things, quite literally, that can make a page!
I hope my scrap your stash post today has inspired you to get creative with your left over supplies, & that your March Kit isn't too far away ;)
I can't wait to share more with you!

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Elle's Studio: January Reveal & Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!
Can you believe it's January and a new year, already?! Time really flies!

I am super excited to be sharing more Elle's Studio awesomeness with you & the January Kit and Add on items are going to have you swooning!
As always, I have a couple of projects to inspire you with - but first, let's take a look at the Elle's Studio January Kit & new releases!

January Exclusive Kit

Yesss!!! Just look at those fabulous prints & colors! LOVING!
But wait, there's soooooooo much more to love....

January New Releases & Add On items....
Oh.my.heart!!!
I'm drooling over this month's releases! Just check out the Love Is 6 x 8.5" Paper Stack and that amazing Love You Lots Stamp!!! Leatherette, and Puffy Stickers?!! Plus so much more!

Oh!!! All the pretty things!!! So much awesome product to get creating with!

Need a lil inspiration?
Here's what I've created with these products so far....

"XO"

Oh what a soft and sweet page to document my two darlings with!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Basics Avalanche Cardstock, Machine Stitching, Sequins, Cyan Hybrid Ink.

So soft & pretty!

The colors in the January Kit & new release items had me instantly swooning! I just adore the pretty mix of peach and green with black, white & gray - simply stunning!
I love using hearts on my pages, so naturally I had to feature a few of them on my page. You'll spot that I stamped some hearts with the Love You Lots Stamp in cyan ink. I followed this with lots of layered Puffy Sticker, Leatherette Sticker & Die Cut hearts too! Inspired by the large veneer 'X' from the XO Wood Veneer, I decided to machine stitch through my array of hearts in an 'x' design.

I backed my darling photo with the woodgrain pattern paper, and a  3 x 4" note card, and then layered this stack through the center of my design.

I was smitten by the exclusive January Kit note card that read, " Love Is All The Moments You Share & The Memories You Make Together" & as such, decided to fussy cut this sentiment out and arrange it through my vertical design. So cool!

The use of the Wood Veneer XO was not only perfect for my title, but also added some warmth and balance to my design.

For finishing touches, I added a few of the I Adore You Stickers and a sprinkling of sequins!
Gorgeous!

My second layout is a sweet and romantic 8.5 x 11" page of me and my one true love....

"XOXO"

Nawww! So super sweet and adorable!

Other Supplies: Bazzill Basics Avalanche Cardstock.

I couldn't resist a lil pretty in pink, and all the hearts for my sweetheart's page!
The Love Is 6 x 8.5" Paper Stack is my new favorite!
I loved that the black and white foliage pattern paper design is repeated in pink on one of the 4 x 6" note cards in the January Kit. I snipped it up to create the illusion of an extra pattern paper. I layered it beneath it's black and white counterpart, as well as used it to trim the very base of my layout. Such a great way to use the note cards if you're not a pocket page memory keeper!  I also used the note cards from the January Kit to back my photo with.

How fabulous is the You Are Loved Die Cuts banner XOXO title?! Love it!
I'm also loving these Die Cuts layered together....

Yep, those layered hearts are errrything!

And I must mention those amazing tiny Wood Veneer Sweethearts! Aren't they just the perfect adornment to any Valentine's inspired project? Gorgeous!

So many lovelies in this release!

Be sure to stop by again on the 15th, as I'm shining the Product Spotlight on the wonderful
Love You Lots Stamp!
Yay!!!

'Til then,
Thanks so much for visiting,

Elle's Studio: Halloween Trick or Treat! Shaker Cards

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for moreElle's Studio inspiration!
Today I am sharing two spook-tacular Halloween greeting cards using the fabulous
October Kit & new releases!

Say BOO!!!
Aren't they just the cutest?!

Other: Black cardstock, circle cutter tool, cellophane/glassine bags, SpiegelMom Scraps sequins, enamel dots.

Halloween is all about the element of surprise, and having fun!
And nothing screams childhood fun like a pocket (err, shaker pocket) full of candy!

This card will have your recipients guessing if it's a trick or a treat, as it is such a fabulous card but you can't eat the candy, ha! Perfect sentiment for Halloween!

Shaker pocket cards are really easy to create and give your cards that extra wow factor!
Okay, enough of the chatter...
Hocus Pocus, it's time to focus!

For these cards, I used two sheets of black cardstock. I cut each piece to the following specifications: 10" x 7"  to create the cards, plus a 5" x 7" sheet to create the shaker window.
I scored & folded the 10" x 7" sheets of card at the 5" mark to create the card bases.
For the card fronts, I used a circle cutting tool to cut a large circle window at the top of the 5" x 7" sheets of cardstock.

For this particular card, I placed the Halloween Acrylic Treats into a cellophane bag, and then sealed it off. I used hot glue to back this bag of sweet treats to the circle window, and then positioned one of the Home Sweet Home pattern papers behind it all. I love the added interest of the pattern paper behind the window. So much more interesting (& fun) than the plain black cardstock!

While I had this pattern paper handy, I also added a trim of it to both the top & bottom of my card front. I overlapped this pattern paper with another trim, this time cut from one of the 6' x 4" Halloween Journaling Tags. I added lots of the Halloween Puffy Stickers to embellish, & then adhered it all to one of the 5" x 7" card fronts.
Awesome!

For the spooky boo card, I used the same techniques but replaced the Halloween Acrylic Treats with some black and silver star sequins from my stash. I also used another pattern paper from the Home Sweet Home Paper Stack to back my circle window, and trim the top & bottom of the card front.

I embellished with the ghosts and pumpkins from the Halloween Puffy Stickers, and then added the Boo! title with the Candy Corn Puffy Alphabet Stickers. Those alphas are the best!

For finishing touches, I foam mounted one of the October Labels and added the A spooktacular time Halloween Puffy Sticker sentiment, as well a scattering of orange enamel dots from my stash.

And there you have it!
Trick or Treat greeting cards that scream fun!
I hope I have put a spell on you to get creating some frightfully fun cards!

Happy Halloween!

Til next time,
