Elle's Studio: Five on Friday Inspiration!

Hey Friends, Happy FriYAY!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio July Kit inspiration!

I can't wait to share what I've created using the exclusive July 2021 Kit and new release items! Today's post is all about highlighting 5 of the new products - hence, 5 on Friday!

Let's get started!

Firstly, here are the 5 products I've chosen to highlight...

1. July 2021 Kit die cuts

2. Adventure 6x 8.5inch Paper Stack

3. Cardstock Die Cut Tags

4. Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers

and last, but by no means least,

5. Summertime Tabs Stamp

Wow! SO much awesomeness to craft with! Some might say the Fantastic Five!

Here's what I came up with,

"Vacay & Good Times"

How awesome is this?!
Five products, and five stars! You'd never know that this page was limited to only five products - so many wonderful details to admire!

Other: White Bazzill cardstock, black stamping ink, machine stitching.

Let's take a closer look...

Firstly, let's talk all things pattern paper!
I think it's only fair to say that the new Adventure 6 x8.5inch Paper Stack is a serious 'must-have' item! With 2 sheets of 15 designs it's easy to create the illusion of full size 12inch papers. I butted together two 2inch strips of the striped design paper and adhered them to the back of my distressed white cardstock base to form a 12 inch background paper. So cool!

On the opposite side of my page, I layered two 6inch squares of the yellow striped paper over the top of my white cardstock. To build on my design, and to enhance my sunset photo I also machine stitched a pattern paper sunburst design over the striped yellow section. Plus, I even backed my photograph onto a paper base too! Pattern paper is definitely for the win!

And speaking of winning, how about the versatile use of the Navy Puffy Alphabet Stickers? Apart from the obvious title, I also used these stickers to emphasize the sunburst rays! Such an inventive way to utilize the exclamation marks!

The June 2021 Kit die cuts were the perfect embellishment for adorning my photo, as well as filling some negative space. I combined the two tone banner with the Summertime Tabs Stamp to add a snip-it of storytelling to my page.

To fill more of the negative space, I shadow stamped the 'fun in the sun' sentiment - also from the awesome Summertime Tabs Stamp.

The Cardstock Die Cut Tags could be used in a myriad of ways, but I tucked mine beneath my photo to create even more visual attention.

Really simple, and such effective approaches for maximizing 5 products!

I hope my project has inspired you today!

Elle's Studio: July Kit Inspiration!

 Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio awesomeness with the fabulous

July 2021 Exclusive Kit and New Releases!

Like always, this month release will have you gasping!

So many fabulous new products!

Let's check them out...

July 2021 Exclusive Kit

Told you it was fabulous! So many cool patterns and designs!

And if that's not enough, the new releases are next level...

Oh.my.stars!!!
Who could even pick a favorite?! I'll take one (or two!) of everything, please!

And let's not forget the wonderful digital products being released today too...

Yep, it's another 'take my money now' month, lol!
Seriously though, the July products won't last long -

Here's a lil looksee at what I've created for today's release...

"Adventure" - 8.5inch x 11inch scrapbook page

How pretty is this adventure page?!
It's documenting the story of my son and I heading out to an expedition of Morialta Falls.
I know, you can't read the story as it is hidden on the back of my layout for personal reasons - but I really think the layout says it all!

Other Supplies: White Bazzill Cardstock.

Here's a few detailed shots for you...

Despite the rich, warm & outdoorsy vibe of this month's kit I was still able to create a cool and feminine page to document my story.
I just love that kind of versatility! So much value added when you can use your kits for more than the 'expected'.

How awesome are those  Acrylic Trees combined with The Great Outdoors Wood Veneer?!
Such a fun detail!

And no surprises that I managed to use not one, but 4 of the patterned papers from the  Adventure 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack! Such terrific patterns & colors!

My second layout is a bit more masculine...

"The Best" - 8.5inch x 11inch scrapbook layout

WHOA! Such an awesome Great Outdoors page! LOVE this!

Let's take a better look...

To create the impression of a full patterned paper background, I carefully adhered 2 sheets of the woodgrain paper (from the  Adventure 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack) to my white cardstock base. I aligned the paper joins, and covered most of the connection with my photo cluster.
A really simple idea, but super effective!

How fantastic is that Let's Go For A Hike Great Outdoors Wood Veneer?!

Lots of lovely layers to my photo cluster!

Well, I think you'll agree that the Elle's Studio July 2021 Exclusive Kit
and New Releases are a crafter's essential!
Shop yours HERE before they're all sold out!

I hope my projects have inspired you!
Please be sure to stop by a lil later in the month for more July 2021 Kit inspiration!

Elle's Studio: June & July Kits - Summer Mini Album

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio Summer inspiration!
Today I am sharing a super quick & easy mini album made from my 'left over' items from the
Elle's Studio June & July releases.
It only takes a few minutes to create this mini and it is perfect for recording those sweet Summer memories! Yay!
Here's a lil look at my album cover.....

So bright, cute 'n' fun!

Other: Sewing Machine Stitching,  & ribbon

The Summer Fun 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack papers are the perfect mix of Summer colors and patterns, and made for a terrific album cover! I decorated mine with a couple die cuts from the July Kit, one of the July Labels, a Summer Chipboard Sticker, and that cute heart veneer!

Tip: The heart veneer is actually the 'Wild At Heart' veneer from the Adventure Wood Veneers, but I flipped mine to the blank side to better suit my project!

To create my simple flip album, I backed the Summer Fun cover paper with the purple print from the Bright Polka Dot 6 x 8.5 inch Paper Stack and adhered together. I repeated this step with 2 more papers, so I ended up with 2 double sided 6 x 8.5 inch papers in total. I scored & folded both sheets at the 4 1/4 inch mark, and machine stitched them together across the scored line to form my album. Yep, it's that simple! And as I mentioned earlier, a great lil mini for using up all your scraps with!
Let's look inside....

Hello, indeed! The Bright Polka Dot purple paper coordinated perfectly with the 'hello' note card from the July 2020 Kit. I chose to decorate these pages very similarly to a four, 3 x 4 inch pocket page (minus the pockets) & let my photos do most of the talking. I added a little bit of story telling with the Summer Stickers, then embellished my photos and album with a couple of the Chipboard and Summer Tape Stickers.
Here's a closer look....

Super sweet for Summer!

Here's the next pages...

The landscape orientation of my photographs meant that I could only fit one photo per page - but I think these pages turned out just fine! To encourage cohesion between them, I backed both photos with the light purple journal cards (courtesy of the June & July 2020 Kits) & kept to similar embellishments. This time I combined gray with the purple color palette to create a really fresh and clean look. The gray Chipboard & Label Stickers look really effective together, and the Summer Stickers were utilised again for some simple journalling.
Love it!

The final page to this sweet Summer Mini is slightly different to the others. I have still used the same purple color scheme and mix of Chipboard, Summer Tape & Summer Stickers to embellish with but, I have also left lots of space to hand write the story. This is a really important detail to me - I want my children to write their own little sentence or two about this Summer. I think that in years to come they will really value what they've both recorded. As both of them will need to write something, I have left space on both pages.

Such a simple, and sweet Summer Mini!
I hope you'll feel inspired to make your own today -
go on, it only takes a few minutes & you'll be so glad you did!
Happy Summer Memory making!

Citrus Twist Kits: Best Of This Life Kit Inspiration!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for some  Citrus Twist Kits Life Crafted Kit inspiration!
This month's kit is so gorgeous that I swooned when I opened my Best Of This Life Kit box! So.much.gorgeousness!!!
But rather than rave about how amazing the Life Crafted Kits are, let's allow my projects to do all the talkin'....

First up is this fresh & fun Summer layout, "Summer Days"

So cool & refreshing!
Summer Days documented to perfection with the Best Of This Life Kit!
Let's take a closer look....

The colors in the pattern papers, combined with those fabulous woodgrain alphas are simply the BEST for scrapbooking our fave Summer moments! From the mid blues to the aqua marines, this page takes me to the beach!
And just look at all those amazing embellishments! The Life Crafted stamp, and the chipboard & puffy stickers are definitely my faves!!!

Speaking of chipboard stickers, here's a better look at them!  Best ever, for sure!
As usual the clear stamp sentiments are really crisp and add the right amount of journaling to your pages! With so many beautiful products in the kit, I just couldn't resist creating lots of luscious layers with both the papers, journal cards and labels.
And for added interest, I fussy cut around the florals on one of the journal cards - see below....

Simple, subtle but so effective!

The shell die cut ephemera pieces are a cute adornment for my beachy page. Sometimes it's the smallest details that really add that finishing touch! Gorgeous!

For my second project, I am sharing this pretty layout, "LOVE"...

Sigh! Talk about ALL the pretty things!!! This is so super sweet!
This time I am combining the Best Of This Life Kit with the July Traveler's Notebook Stamp and the Best Of This Life Cut Aparts. Love it!

Like my previous layout, I have created more luscious layers so that I could tuck in lots of ephemera and showcase those pretty papers, cut aparts & journal cards. Infact, it was the folk art style 6" x 4" journal card that inspired the color scheme for my page. You'll spy that I snipped the card in half, and butted it together to create the appearance of a 12" x 2" strip of paper. You'll spot two more cards in my photo stack too....

Swoon! Those layers are really somethin'! Florals always have my heart! And those Cut Apart labels (lovely & happy) are a sweet addition to the layered goodness!
Let's not forget the journal card that I snipped into three to create the fun 'love' tabs on my pattern paper strips - such a fun way to use this card if pocket pages aren't your thing!

With such a delightful color palette, I opted to repeat stamp my sentiments in similar color inks instead of the usual black. I love how soft & pretty this looks! The CTK stamps are always the best!

Did you see how I've incorporated the tiny kit name label card? I loved the sentiment on the kit name card and had to tuck it into my photograph layers. I snipped it into half so I could also include it in my paper strip feature. Perfect!

*Note: the sequins featured on my layout are from my personal stash*

Beautiful! Such a pretty page for my darling daughter!

Next up is some Life Crafted Album love!
Here's a super cute back to school page from my album with this month's kit....

How cute & fun is this?!
I just adore those woodgrain alphas - perfect for adding some warmth to my cool color scheme!
I also love the use of labels in this design too!
Here's a better look at my page...

Super cool! The puffy stickers and enamel dots really add that extra something, don't they?

The mix of colors and patterns in the Best Of This Life exclusive papers is nothing short of awesome! I love the variety of designs, making the kit super versatile!

And there you have it!

Loving the mixed alphas title!
The tiny puffy alphas are CTK exclusives from the Pocket Life Kit, and the larger, multi colored letters are from Echo Park: Imagine That (girl) collection & are included in this months Scrapbook Kit! So awesome!

For my pattern papers, I have used the B sides of Heidi Swapp's Hawthorne: 'Dreamscape', as well as Bella Blvd's Little Man: 'Star'. The map print was perfect for the 'journey' story happening in my sweet photo!

All boy, all awesome!!!

Elle's Studio: Product Highlight: Everyday Phrases Stamp

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!

For today's post I am shining the spotlight on the fabulous new Everyday Phrases Stamp!
As the name suggests, this stamp is all phrases & oh-so cool!
Here's what I've created with it today.....

"Heart Eyes For This"

Whoa! Who would've thought that stamped words could have such impact!
I've taken inspiration from the veneer & vellum asterisks from the July new releases, and repeat stamped in this style.
Such a fun way to create a background, and make the most of your stamp sets!

To emphasize the asterisk style, I have also layered some of the veneers and vellum pieces onto the stamp centers.

To compliment my seaside photograph, I used inks in sky blue, aquamarine, & cobalt to imitate the ocean.

Repeat stamping is such a fun technique to use to create card and layout backgrounds!

I hope I have inspired you to give this stamping technique a try today!
