Paper Issues: May Swag Bag Spotlight!

Hi Everyone! 

Welcome back for more Paper Issues awesomeness with one of my favourite shares,
 Swag Bag Spotlight!

Today I am creating with the April Swag Bag, called "Yay! Let's Celebrate"

Isn't this such fun! 

So many cute embellishments and 3 x 4 cards! 

Each mini kit slightly varies, and mine had quite a few pieces from the My Mind's Eye,  Good Vibes collection!
The pink foil and bright colors in this line partnered perfectly with my left over pieces from the February Swag Bag. 

Here's what I created with them.....

"Yay!"

Isn't this the sweetest?!!

I had so many left over hearts from the February Swag Bag, this was a perfect way to use them up!

Everything on my layout is from these two Swag Bags, 

except for my 12 x 12 paper, and the Nuvo Drops in Bubblegum Pink. 

 That super cool Amy Tangerine Hustle & Heart  12 x 12 pattern paper for my base was a perfect match with all the hearts too! 

Such a happy girl page! Love it!

Paper Issues: April: Wide Open Spaces Challenge!

Hi Friends! 

Thanks for stopping by for more Paper Issues awesomeness!

Today I am sharing my take on the NEW challenge; 

Like the name suggests, this challenge is all about white or negative space.
Here's what I came up with....

"Shine"

How FUN is this?!!
I have used the March Swag Bag for this super fun page that features lots of MME Good Vibes, Shimelle Glitter Girl, Crate Paper Good Vibes & Pink Paislee/PTE Pick Me Up collections. Inspired by the colors (and that diagonal pattern on the iced donut), I added a lil Shimmerz Paints Dazzlerz (Sour Apple & Pucker Up Pink) using an Echo Park 6 x 6 stencil. You'll also spy splatters of Vibez in Jeni Be Bleu, Razzeldazzel Berry, & Hermit the Frog. SO cool!

How cute is that die cut bow?! Not to mention the Pom Pom Frame!?!!

Gor-jus!!!!

That Dazzlerz background is really somethin'!

There's no denying that I LOVE me a Swag Bag! So much awesomeness!

Shimmerz Paints: Unicorn Love!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Shimmerz Paints inspiration and painty fun!
Do you LOVE all the unicorns?!!
Well, I sure do! And they're inspiring today's magical layout.....

"XO"



Magical indeed! So enchanting!!!
Just perfect for my little princess!
You'll spy so many beautiful Shimmerz pretties here!
Let me tell you more about how I created that magical unicorn.....

I start with a very light pencil outline of my unicorn design. 

Once happy, I filled in the design with my favourite Shimmerz Paints products: Inklingz! 

I am a devout fan of Inklingz! 

The shimmer & high sheen that these paints offer is simply Aaaah-mazing! 

I used Inklingz in:

Pink A Boo

Beets Me

She Packs A Punch 

Loving this color combination!!!

Next, I add the eye onto the unicorn in permanent black pen. 

Then comes the fun part - 

I paint the unicorn horn and mane with a good coat of Paste-eez Puttin' On The Glitz. 

This Paste-eez colour is similar to a clear holographic glitter paint & adds so much 'magic' to my fantasy creature. Sparkly fun!!!

For finishing paint touches, I splatter Vibez: Razzeldazzle Berry & Sweet Heart around my unicorn. 

A bit like throwing around confetti or scattering sequins. 

While my paint dries, I cut out 3 butterflies from the Free Paper Issues Cut File: Cherish Florals, and back one of them with paper from the Shimelle Glitter Girl 6 x 6 paper pad. 

I layer my darling photo onto the other 2 butterflies, and begin to build up my photo cluster. 

I decorate the unicorn's horn and mane with die cut florals, the paper backed butterfly & that super sweet bow! 

Here's a closer look for you....  

SO gor-jus!!!

And just look at the shimmer and sheen on my uniorn! Divine!

Final embellishments include those incredible Glitter Girl sparkly unicorns, a tiny bow for my beautiful girl, sequins, hearts & those tiny glitter Thickers. 

Oh-so-preeeeeeetty!!!!

Love this!

Shimmerz Paints: November Hello Happy!

Hi Creative Friends!

Time for a lil more Shimmerz Paints inspiration!
Today I am focusing on the gorgeous Paste-eez ....


Gah! They're soooooo pretty!
But what are Paste-eez?
PAPASTE-EEZ is a smooth dimensional paste with a matte (low sheen) finish. 
They come in a 3oz Jar in 12 incredible colors.
Here's what I have created with mine today......

"Hello Happy"



Oh happiness indeed!!!
Love those gorgeous pop colours!
& dont they just look terrific with Shimelle's Glitter Girl line?!!
For this layout, I used:
Paste-eez: Raspberry Sherbert 
Paste-eez: Peach Fuzz
Paste-eez: Yell-O It's Me &
Paste-eez: Baby Boy Blue

The colours are so vibrant and intense! Just beautiful!
I applied the Paste-eez with a palette knife, but an old store/credit card would work just as easily.

That Raspberry Sherbert is one of my all-time FAVE Shimmerz Paints products - photos just don't do it justice! 

Such a beautiful colour!

I love the contrast of it against the Peach Fuzz too!

SO cheerful & happy! 

The blue and yellow make my heart sing!

It really is ALL about the colour at Shimmerz Paints!

and the Amy Tangerine The Lucky Ones Hustle & Heart Thickers. That's it!

Omgoodness! 5?!!! 

When did Mr A for Awesome become a 5yr old boy?!! 

Finding it hard to let go of him not being a baby anymore...lol!

Moving on though... 

How fun is this take on the sketch?!!

I have used American Crafts' Shimelle: Glitter Girl collection. 

Who would've thought that such a girly line could be so masculine too?

Oh wow!!! La la LOVE this!

So many gorgeous 3x4 cards and embellishments in this Swag Bag!

From cute twine, to a Rub-On Pen, straw and enamel charms this kit has it all!

How cool are those layers?!!

I made them appear bigger by cutting the 3 x 4 cards into half - such a clever way to utitilise those smaller paper pieces!

That gorgeous mixed media background is from my Shimmerz Paints stash 

(Vibez in Jeni B Bleu, Razzaldazzel Berry and Glorious Day)

& my 12 x 12 cardstock is patterned paper, Rose Park, from the Maggie Holmes Carousel collection.
