I just love how this turned out!

 Super cool!

Paper Issues: Mix It Up Monday!

Hi Creative Friends!

Time to get a lil messy with Paper Issues
Mix It Up Monday!

For this month's challenge, we're creating projects that use texture as a feature.
Lots of fun and freedom here to create what you pretty much like!

I have been neglecting my stencils of late,
so I pulled out my stash and created this fun page....

"Wander"

Told you it was fun!!!
How cool is that Mandala stencil??? LOVE it!
I've used my acrylic paints for the undercolour, and a medium weight modeling paste for the stencil work. So very awesome!
(& super easy too!)
I've teamed it all up with leftovers from my Pink Paislee Fancy Free stash.
Easy, fun, fabulous!

Here's a few close ups for you.......

Gotta love the glitter Thickers from this line! SO shiny! (I could've used them for this month's Working Title challenge!)

That stencil really is stunning, huh?!
And those blues!!! SOooooooo pretty!
Adding dimension with pop dots, thickers, and even cotton floss, helps to add a more textural appearance too!

Super cool!

Awesome! Playing with paints and texture is fun!
Give it a go and play along with us this month!

Paper Issues: February Pinspire Me

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun!
Time for one of my favourite challenges,
Pinspire Me!

This month's board is SO much fun! Bright & full of colour.....

Awesome, huh?!!!

When it came to inspiring me, I didn't get past the first box... lol!
Here's my layout,

"You Are My Favourite, Best Ever!"

Isn't that rainbow heart just stunning?!!
I've used the gorgeous Pink Paislee / Paige Taylor Evans Fancy Free collection from the Paper Issues store, as well as that incredible Bits & Pieces Heart cut file from Just Nick Studio.
I'm going to be honest here...
It took me an hour to paper piece that cut file, but I think that the end result is well worth the effort!
I've embellished with those stunning chipboard stickers, glitter thickers & some cotton floss.
Let's take a closer look...........

You 2 are my favourite indeed!
Love my beautiful, happy children & this colourful layout captures them both perfectly!
Those chipboard stickers are really something, huh?
All the pretty pattern papers are left overs from my stash of Fancy Free - they work so well together!

Oooooh! Glitter Thickers get me everytime!!! And the cursive font of these sweet phrases adds to the playful nature of my page!

Just stunning! Love my bright & happy darlings!
And la la love this rainbow heart layout too!
Hope my layout has inspired you to get creating!

Take 5 Tuesday!

This challenge is always one of my absolute favourites, and this month's is no exception!
Here's what the January list looks like....

So many awesome options to choose from that I ended up with 10!
I've used pink, cardstock, something silver, patterned paper, foam tape, star, chipboard, layers, tag, & winter! See if you can spot them on my layout......

"Winter Birthday Boy"

Oh how sweet is Mr 4!!! Such a happy birthday it was!
I've used a Silhouette snowflake cutfile, Pink Paislee's Fancy Free
& a whole lotta Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa! Love it!
Here's a few closer shots.....

How cute is that photo clip?!! Just adorable!
Lots of small details on this layout....

I love all the layering beneath my photo - it really draws you into that darling photo!

I used the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa Thickers for my title - so bold!

Paper Issues: Cut It Up Saturday

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun with Cut It Up Saturday - December edition!
Today is all about this month's fabulous FREE cut file designed by our very own
Stacie Ebnet Dietz.

Here's a look at this month's aaahmazing Cut It Up Saturday file....

How awesome are those scribbled circles?!!

With such a natural 'mixed media' look, I wanted to showcase the file in a softer, more delicate light.
Here's my version,

"Embrace Life"

Isn't this the sweetest?!
I have used one of my favourite collections, Pink Paislee's, Fancy Free by Paige Taylor Evans - love it!
I have also kept to an almost monochromatic colour palette too - very girly and soft!
Let's take a closer look....

Love that chippie title, but how fabulous do those background circles look?!!
Such a fun design!

To keep with the circular style, I used the circles paper, (Paper no. 3) as well as both the fancy and wood veneer buttons to embellish with. I love the look of the layered circles!

How cute is the stitching through the cut file?
Another small detail that adds both delicacy and interest to my layout.

More circles goodness! Truly this file is divine!!!
Oh, and my top tip for cutting the scribbles successfully is to use an older, less sticky mat.
It worked a charm ;)

Hope my layout has inspired you to get creating!

Paper Issues: November Roll The Dice

Hi Paper Pals!
Today I'm sharing my take on the November: Roll the Dice challenge over at Paper Issues.
This month the dice declared that the challenge would be:
Use 2 photos and 2 wood veneers or wooden buttons on a layout.
Yay! A really easy one to have some fun with!
And fun is exactly what my take is all about -
here's my layout,

"Embrace Life: Here & Now"

Here's my 2 cuties living in the moment, and enjoying the carousel ride! Love it!
Told you it was fun!
I have been stash busting again, and using up my Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Fancy Free collection.
For my 2 veneers I have used two printed wooden circle shapes for my layout.
The colours & patterns in this range are amazing!
SO bright and happy, perfect for my subjects!
Here's a few close-ups....

LOVE the glitter thickers!!! Stunning!
And the sweet buttons in Fancy Free are a great alternative to ephemera, sequins or enamel dots.

More thickers goodness....

Love that veneer 'embrace life' circle! And those buttons!!!

Fancy Free is my two darlings to a T!
Hope you liked my interpretation of this fun challenge!

Studio Fourteen40: Hello Sunshine!

Hi Friends!

I know, its been a while since I blogged for Studio Fourteen40!
After the all the hype for the big Wild Spirit Collection & Kit release,
I have been enjoying some quiet crafting for myself & playing along with a few challenges!
I created this layout for a  Paper Issues scraplift challenge using the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection.
But, it has a few too many awesome Studio Fourteen40 products not to share!
So without further ado, here's my layout....

"PLAY"

Told you it was awesome! And so much Studio Fourteen40 fabulousness here too!
You'll spy flair from the Hello Sunshine collectionwood veneer stars & even those glitter foam cut glasses!
Let's take a closer look.....

Today was awesome indeed!
How terrific is that flair button?!!! LOVE it! So bright, bold and happy - perfect for my cheeky monkey ;)
The veneer stars are almost like scatter sequins, but cooler! They are beautifully cut and there's so many of them in the packet that you'll be able to use them on multiple projects!
And how about those Foam Cut: Spunky Specs in green?! These are such a playful embellishment and work so well with my layout.......

Apart from being super cool, my fave feature of these delicate cut glasses is that they're stickers - so no messy glue required to attach them! Making crafting even easier!
Here's another view......

How cool is the LAUGH flair button too! This page just screams fun & play!
I hope this layout inspires you to get creating!

Imaginarium Designs: June Creations

Hi Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a couple sweet layouts that I created for Imaginarium Designs this month....

"You Make Me Smile"

Isn't she gorgeous?!! Growing up far too quickly!
Such pretty girl deserves a pretty page...
I've combined Pink Paislee's Fancy Free collection, & Studio Fourteen40's flair with our favourite chipboard to create this stunning layout. I love the warmth that the yellow painterly background creates. As the yellow is such an enormous POP of colour, I've treated all chipboard to a white finish to maintain a lil delicacy and femininity to the page.
Let's take a closer look.....

To get such a solid white finish, I gave the chipboard 3 coats of Versa Ink in White.
How amazing is that title?!

No surprise when I tell you that this NEW release chippie title is from the very talented Natalie May - SO cool!!!
You'll also spy that I've use a generous sprinkling of superfine Glitter Snow to the texture paste. This is so that the flat white matte finish on the chipboard is more striking. It becomes more visible...

Those gorgeous flourishes are also from the Designer collection too!

You can find them here:

My second layout that I am sharing with you today is all about my super cool boy,

"Never Grow UP"

I know, can he get any cuter?!!! Such an awesome lil guy that we totally adore!
I've used another fabulous NEW release chippie title, Never Grow UP. This new title is perfect for scrapbooking those beautiful little people in your lives.
As my page is all about my awesome boy, I've used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Made of Awesome collection. That sunburst pattern paper is partnered with our Arrows -  to really draw your eye into my special photograph.
Let's take a closer look at those stunning chippies....

How cool is that title?!! Iv'e used black and gold inks to make it pop, and stapled it in place to add to the fun feel.  Also the silver staples and sequins help to balance all that gold too....

Aren't the arrows just awesome?! I coated mine in coloured inks (red, yellow, green & blue) & then I gave them a semi coat in gold ink ensuring some of the colour was still visible. Very cool!
Here's a couple closer views...

The gold is just a tad too brassy, so it partners perfectly with that cute camera charm too!
Love how everything works so well together!

Amazing boy indeed!
