Apart from rotating the photo I pretty much kept to the sketch.

Those amazing flowers are actually all fussy cut from the pretty floral patterned paper, Today.
Took me a while to cut them all, but I think the end result made it worth the effort!
Infact, everything on this layout (except the photo & wire) are all from the

Speaking of challenges, here's my take on Challenge #2 over at Scrap & Play.

Challenge #2 is a word play challenge & the word is: FLOWERS
I ended up doing two pages for this challenge -
I loved both, but my first layout was just, well, too orange for my liking!
So have a look, and be sure to let me know which one you preferred.
First up, my orange page, "Together"
See if you can spot my items.....
F - Frame & flowers
L - Lace, love charm, lines and layers
O - Orange layout
W - Wire
E - Enamel dots & embellishments
R - Rick rack ribbon
S - Stickers & spray mist.

Here's my layout....

Love these two sooooo much!!!
I know, it's very orange......
But I like that it took me out of my comfort zone!
& while I'm still no fan of orange (yuk!) I really do love this page!

Here's a closer look at the title;

it's cut from Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope stickers.
The papers are all from Basic Grey's Hey Boy range.

And how pretty are those flowers?!
The flowers are Kaisercraft Paper Blooms & Mini Paper Blooms in Coconut.
That divine miniature frame is Melissa Frances and those enamel dots are MME.
Okay, enough of the orange!
See if you can find these features on my second page, "This Makes Me Smile"
F - Flocked paper, & flowers
L - Lace, love & labels
O - OMG stamp
W - Washi tape & wooden peg
E - Enamel dots & embellishments galore!
R - Rhinestones
S - Stamps, & stickers

Here it is........
Love this page!
So many embellishments highlighting that beautiful, happy moment!
Let's take a closer look...........
How cute is that Amy Tangerine wooden peg?!
The papers are all from Kaisercraft's Kaleidoscope range, as are the fabulous die cuts & title stickers.

The flowers featured are all Green Tara - soooo pretty!

& those pretty pink rhinestones are actually Couture Creations Gemstones;
nothing like a lil bling to add that finishing touch!

Wow! Loads of inspiration & what a fun challenge!
There's a fantastic prize up for grabs & you've got til the end of the month to get your entry in!
So why not give it a go?!
Please let me know which layout you preferred - I love to read your comments!

Happy Mother's Day!

A very Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing Mums out there today! Wishing you all a fabulous day!
For me, mothers day truly is everyday! My children make me smile & celebrate each  and every moment! Feel so lucky!♥♥
Speaking of lucky, here's a peak at  some of my creations for the special ladies in my life.....

Isn't this divine?!!

This gorgeous jar is for my Grandmother - hope she likes it as much as I do!
Here's what it looked like before I got my crafty fingers on it:

Yes, it was a pretty jar, but it lacked the Happy Arty Days touch!
So, with a little Kaisercraft Amethyst Paper Blooms, Cranberry Mini Blooms,& Kaleidoscope Dies,
some ribbon and a gorgeous Couture Creations: Ornamental Lace Die, I was able to create this beautiful gift!

So pretty!
Here's the coordinating gift tag..........

A little more contemporary but with the same gorgeous blooms.
Also features that fabulous Kaisercraft Base Coat III Paper - 'Shabby Chic'.

What a lovely gift!
Here's another Mother's Day gift tag.....

This lovely tag is made from the Kaisercraft Honey Chai range.
Such an elegant and classic range!
Hope you liked taking a sneak peak into some of my Mother's Day creations
& have a wonderful day!

For the Love of Colour!

Hi Happy Arty Days Fans,
Thanks for taking time to stop by and have a look at my creations!
Today I'm playing along with another fabulous colour challenge over at Color Me Scrappy.
There's so much fun to be had, and some fabulous prizes up for grabs too!
Today's layout had to be inspired by one of the following mood boards.......

I know, which to pick??? (All such divine colours to scrap with!)
l decided to use the first mood board, & do a modern, contemporary twist on a newborn boy page.
*Note: photo featured is property of Elska Studios
Here's my take on the first colour board......
Love my boy! Only 14 days old here!
 Where has the time gone?!
Lots of paint, distressing and a very small use of silver metals too!
The gorgeous paper is from the Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope range, and the butterflies & blooms are also Kaisercraft.

Here's a closer look:
Some really tiny sapphire blue rhinestones in that cluster too!

I painted a little gesso onto the blooms& burlap to soften them. So pretty!
Such a great boy page! Love it!

Hope you liked it too!
& feel inspired to have a go at the colour challenges over at Color Me Scrappy!

Thanks for taking a look,

Happy Arty Days,

Thanks for stopping by to visit and take a peak at my entry for the
2014 Kaisercraft Design Team. Kaisercraft have such an amazing and diverse range of papers and products! Such a big fan!
I would LOVE to make the team *fingers crossed* but enough talking, let's get straight to the good stuff.........

First up, a newborn layout that uses the gorgeous and very striking Kaleidoscope range.
*The photo featured in this layout is property of Elska Studios.

Isn't this just divine?
The paper is "Collage" and I'm so loving it!
Such a modern twist on the classic white and blue for a newborn boy.
Have a closer look.......

Aren't those pre-cut dies & stickers fantastic?
They make it so easy to embellish your page with so little effort!
I also added a little stitching and some silver wire & heart charm to complete this contemporary page.

Yes, he is, "My kind of beautiful dream!"

Next up, my take on a Kaisercraft 6.5" wooden frame.......

Lots and lots of Kaisercraft goodness going on here....
Paper Blooms: Amethyst & Coconut, Mini Paper Blooms: Amethyst & Coconut, Rub-ons: After Five Collection - Quotes, Clear Stamps: Bonjour, Paint: Magenta, Eggplant & White, KaiserFusion Markers and let's not forget, that incredible Base Coat Paper III, "Shabby Chic".
I've also used some tarnished metal leaves, milliners netting, ribbon and cotton.

The Rub-Ons are of such high quality that you'd think I'd printed them....Perfect!

My final project to share today is a tag set - with a twist!
Isn't this something special?!!
This gorgeous tag set also doubles up as a mini album and is sure to be treasured for a lifetime........

This creation was made using the sweet and very delicate, Honey Chai range &
a Kaisercraft Album Ring to link them all together.

Let's take a look inside.....
So elegant.....

& so sweet!

Yes, that title "treasured memories" is a Kaisercraft Rub-On.
(told you they were awesome!)

Oh, and those stunning pearls are Kaisercraft too!

Honey Chai is such a versatile paper range -
I have loved creating with it, over & over again! :)
A simple end to a simple, but stunning, lil tag set!

Colour Challenge Fun!

Hi all!
Hope you're all having a fabulous day!
I've been having a bit of fun with the colour challenge over at Color Me Scrappy.

This particular entry is for challenge #61, a  really sweet colour palette to be inspired by.

 & Here's my layout.....

Love this page!
I wanted to steer away from a classic girly page (like these colours might suggest) and do something more contemporary....
I had these fabulous beach photos and thought, why not?
Beach can be shades of mauve?! (surely??)

I used a mix of Basic Grey papers from Hey Girl, Hey Boy & Soleil & tried to keep the embellishments organic and natural. Burlap, plain chipboard, muslin, calico & of course, those stunning shells!

A coupe of small Kaisercraft mini roses soften the page, and the calico trim is stapled in place to keep with the organic feel.
Wow! I had so much fun over at Color Me Scrappy! Why don't you join in the fun too?!
Can't wait to see what you create :)

Thanks for visiting,

Happy Arty Days,
Amanda xo

Fubu Tag Set

Hi everyone!
Today I'm sharing a project that I recently created for Couture Creations using their new

Aren't these tags just gorgeous?!
I love a good tag, because they become a dangly lil keepsake on a dresser handle after they've adorned a gift
(nothing saddens me more than a handmade card in the bin).

Here's a closer look.....

Feeling inspired to go and make a few of these?
