Paper Issues: *New Challenge* Add It Up!

Hi My Creative Friends!

It's time to share another of our NEW challenges starting this month at Paper Issues!
This challenge is called,

& it's super fun!!!

Every month we will be assigned a goal number of points to achieve.
This month it's score anything over one hundred points.
The points values are here:

So if you use a photo it equals 5 points - but if you were to use 5 photos on your layout it would earn you 25 points ( 5 x 5 = 25). Simply Add Up your layout to ensure you reach the target number.
As I mentioned before, this month is a busy layout, as we're looking for a score of 100 or more.
Here's what I created,

"You Rock"

How awesome is this?! Love this cool lil guy!
I've combined Heidi Swapp's Magnolia Jane with Cocoa Vanilla Studio's new boy line, You Rock - & I just love how it turned out!
Only one photo for me, so lots of pattern papers, ink, stamping & washi tape to bump up my score. Plus a whole stack of fun embellishments; chipboard stickers, transparencies, clear stickers, veneers, ephemera and more! I think my score is around 110ish.... lol, it's definitely over 100 anyways ;)

Here's a few close ups.....

How fabulous is that CVS rubber charm 'You Rock'?  So very cool!!!
I am also in LOVE with the Magnolia Jane: Special Clear Stamp Set which I have used randomly through my design,
And yes, that's a lil more houndstooth love from the Paper Issues happy mail squeezed in here too!

That gold transparency is pretty awesome too!!!

My boy. Totally Rad!!!

I hope you feel inspired by my take on the new Add It Up challenge!

Paper Issues: May Free File Friday

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to our new look Cut File Challenge at Paper Issues,

This month, the challenge is to use one of the Paper Issues free cut files that features florals.
I decided to use the Floral Heart Cut File (pictured below):

Such a stunning design!!!

Here's what I created with it,

"Gratitude"

Oh,Wow!!! Isn't this preeeeetty!?!!
I cut the Floral Heart in plain white cardstock,
and then paper pieced it with Bella Blvd's, Make Your Mark collection: 6 x 8 Paper Pad.
Infact, 98% of this layout is Make Your Mark - it's just so bright and beautiful!!!
*The sequins and printed veneer are from my stash*
Here's a closer look....

Such a beautiful photo of my not-so-little girl!!!
She is growing up way too fast! So very proud of the person she is developing into!
That floral heart file was just perfect for her!

The Bella Die Cut Paper Pieces & coordinating Puffy Stickers are just the sweetest embellishments!
Loving the gold foil accents too!
Super pretty blooms to enhance that floral heart! Love it all!!!

You know I love my florals, and that definitely includes floral cut files!

Paper Issues: May Working Title

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun with this month's edition of

It's a lil close to my heart - it's the challenge that I host,
and I have to say what a fantastic month April was!
I just fell head over heels for those gorgeous floral titles!
So much stunning inspiration from you all!
Thanks so much for playing along!

The position and shape of your title can have a huge impact on your overall layout design & look.
Keeping that in mind, this month Working Title is all about the curves!

Round, curvy or wavy titles.

No theme, no set words, just make sure your title isn't straight! Too easy!
This challenge is suitable for layouts, cards, off the page numbers, and even traveler's notebooks. Actually, as long as it's new and it features a round/curvy/wavy title you can enter it!
I can't wait to see what you create!
But enough chatter, here's what I created,

"Happy Together"

I was totally inspired by a similar layout by Stacie Ebnet Dietz - so with her permission, I've scraplifted her awesome design and given it a Happy Arty Days twist!
How cool is that rounded title?!
I've used Shimelle's Little By Little collection, & I just love those Thickers that I've curved around my page!
Here's a couple close ups for you.....

So fun & playful!!!

Even the embellishment clusters have a frivolity to them! Yay!
I love creating happy pages for my albums!

So much fun! Love it all!

I can't wait to see what you all create for Working Title this month!
Remember to upload as many new entries as you like to the
in the May challenges album.
Every entry earns you an extra spot in the draw to win a Paper Issues gift card,
so what are you waiting for?! Get creating!

Need new supplies?
No worries, Paper Issues has got you covered.

Paper Issues: May Notable Quotable

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun with this month's edition of

This month's quote is just too pretty for words....

Gorgeous, huh?!!
I was totally inspired by the blooms and that tiny heart! Here's what I came up with...

"Bloom"

Isn't this the prettiest?!!
I absolutely ADORE this floral pattern paper from Bella Blvd's, Make Your Mark collection! So gorgeous!!! It's called Magnifique - you can see why!
Perfect for this challenge, and my beautiful photograph!
I fussy cut the pattern paper to form my diagonal design, and used coordinating die cuts to embellish my photo with.
That golden title is from the Fundamentals Sticker Sheet in the same collection. Pardon the pun, but I think it's Blooming Marvellous! ;) LOL!

Here's a closer look......

SOooooooo pretty! Love those die cuts!!!
My photo has been matted with a blue sheet from the Make Your Mark 6 x 8 Paper Pad, as well as a doily from my stash. There's a light layer of watercolour media beneath it all too....

Just gorgeous!
Hope you feel inspired by my layout!

Fancy some Bella Blvd?!! Silly question!

Paper Issues: May Take 5 Tuesday

Hi Friends!

It's time for Take 5 Tuesday over at Paper Issues!
Here's this month's playlist,

So many possibilities!!!
I decided to challenge myself, and create a boy layout with the gorgeously girly
Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Wild At Heart collection. I've actually used 7 items from the list: green, blue, cardstock, label, frame, sticker & patterned paper. See if you can spot them!

Here's my layout,

"Wild @ Heart"

Isn't this the sweetest?!! Love this cool kid!
And I think I managed to pull off a boy layout with this typically feminine line.
How awesome are the chipboard frames?!!
And I am totally loving that flair button!
Here's a closer look....

Super cute!
& those rubber charms!!!!

The wood veneers are pretty cool too,
and add a more masculine feel to the design.
And there you have it!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with this fabulous collection!

REMEMBER: Use my code AMANDA & you'll save 20% off your total!
