Yay! I love a good sketch to spark up my creativity

here's what the January sketch looks like.....

I decided to mirror reflect the sketch for my take on it.....

"FUN"

Totally awesome!

Love this cool kid and his free,wild spirit! 

I snapped this shot on Christmas Eve and couldn't wait to scrap it - he really is the happiest lil guy to hang out with! We have such a blast at the beach together!

I have used Pink Paislee's Wild Child collection for my layout, as well as some Shimmerz Paints for that watercolour wash background. 

I switched the doilies in the sketch for a large tag and super cute ephemera card.

Paper Issues: December Sketchy Saturday

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for the December edition of Paper Issues, 

I love Sketchy Saturday! 

Who doesn't love a good sketch to get their creativity flowing?!

Here's what we're playing with this month.....

Awesome! 

Here's my take on it....

"Hey Sunshine"

Oh isn't this fun!!!

Love hanging out at the beach with this cool girl! 

I have pretty much stuck to the sketch, but am so pleased with how it turned out!

I have used the new Pink Paislee, Wild Child: Girl Power collection 

& I am loving bright and playful it is!

You'll spot pattern paper 3 (Dots),  paper 5 (Flowers), 

and a sheet of two from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad.

There's also a ton of super cute embellishments from this line......

The Ephemera Die Cuts are always a firm favourite of mine, 

but I am also really loving those blue foiled Thickers! 

SO cool!

Magical, indeed!

Oh, and those pretty splatters?

Well there from Shimmerz Paints of course! 

It's Vibez: Jeni B Bleu - my favourite Vibez colour!

Love it!

Paper Issues: November Sketchy Saturday!

I love playing along with this challenge, and today's sketch is a super fun grid!

Here's what I've created for it, 

"Stay Awesome"

SO cool!!!

I have used the stunning Pinkfresh Studio: Escape The Ordinary collection for my fun take!

So many fabulous patterns and colours in this line!

And it's not just their papers I'm in love with - 

Pinkfresh Studio have a way with words!

 The sentiment phrases and journal cards always resonate with my life stories perfectly.

Love it!

Here's a closer look for you....

LOVE this paper!!! 

It's called Chase and I have turned it 90 degrees,

 so I could feature those arrows at the top of my page. 

& how perfect are those coordinating arrow chipboard stickers?!!

So good!

"I am such a fan of you"

See what I mean about the sentiments? Perfect for my boy!

Lots of cool layers in each square in the grid design. 

You'll note that I still featured the tag on the first square of this sketch, 

but I also added my photo too!

The tag is from the Layered Tag set, there are so many fun tags in the pkt!

Omgoodness! 5?!!! 

When did Mr A for Awesome become a 5yr old boy?!! 

Finding it hard to let go of him not being a baby anymore...lol!

Moving on though...

I have used American Crafts' Shimelle: Glitter Girl collection. 

Who would've thought that such a girly line could be so masculine too?

I have used the gorgeous Maggie Holmes Carousel line, and that super cute photo of my two on the carousel. Love it! 

So many gorgeous papers and embellishments in this line! 

Let's take a closer look at a few of them....

It's all about the stickers!!! 

Chipboard, 6 x 12, Puffy and my new favourites Enamel Pin Stickers!

The enamel pins are a really awesome addition to the Crate Paper lines, and I am LOVING them! That yellow heart is just adorable!

Here's another view of more of those sweet stickers..... 

(the chipboard flag is another fave of mine)

So gorgeous!

And let's not forget the super sweet ephemera!

Oh wow! Love how this turned out!

I have used Pink Paislee's Summer Lights collection for this sweet page!

I have foam mounted my center panel, as well as my colour photograph, to add dimension and interest to my layout. 

Bright colours, contemporary designs, Summer vibes and neon highlights - SO cool!

You'll spy a few fussy cut pieces, as well as ephemera, chipboard & 6 x 12 stickers. 

Isn't it all so pretty?!!

Love all the neon & holographic foil pieces in this line.....

Just look at that holographic foil!!! AWEsome!

Paper Issues: July Sketchy Saturday

Hi Everyone! 

Welcome to a new month of super fun challenges over at Paper Issues!

First off the ranks, is one of my fave challenges

Let me tell you that this month's sketch is SO much fun!!! 

Here's what it looks like.....

Oh yeah! What an awesome design to play along with!

Here's my take on it.....

"Oh Sweet Girl"

Isn't this the sweetest?!! 

This one is for my daughter's album to remind her that is she sweet & kind, and to focus on finding the happy in each and every day. 

A great message for any pre teen / tween, right?

I have mirror flipped the sketch for my interpretation & used the gorgeous Make Your Mark collection from Bella Blvd. 

 I love all the gold foil accents! Just Stunning!

Here's a few close-ups for you....

How fabulous are those puffy stickers?!! Super cute!

I LOVE the pretty blooms in this line, and just had to fussy cut them! Love how this looks! 

The gold foil alphas were a lil tricky to photograph - but you get the idea! 

Golden, gorgeous and such fun! 

The enamel stickers are also a new fave of mine! 

A really deluxe finishing touch to any project!

Love it!

I've been hoarding (saving!) my stash of Fancy Pants Designs Golden Days line for our Aussie Autumn weather - finally I can break into it!

How awesome is my Mister A?!! Love this cool kid! 

The Golden Days line is just a perfect match for his tree climbing adventures! 

Masculine and fun, & with coordinating woodgrain and cork embellishments it's just THE best Fall line around!

Love the layered patterned papers too! That plaid is divine!!!
