Paper Issues: October New Issue: Round 2

Hi Creatives!

It's time for another round of Paper Issues

This month's Which Kraft? issue is tons of fun!

Here's some suggestions to get you started....

*Halloween or October outings

*Kraft elements (paper/embellishments)

*Add texture with burlap or cork

*Create a project about crafts you do

*Feature a witches' hat/broomstick/black cat etc

Here's my take....

"Nature Boy"

Isn't he the cutest?!

The colours in this photo were perfect for the Kraft issue and I love the natural tones of cork and burlap too!

You'll spy mostly Heidi Swapp's Magnolia Jane collection, as well as bits n pieces from Crate Paper, Pink Paislee and those gorgeous Thickers are from 1Canoe2. 

The Magnolia Jane collection features lots of Kraft ephemera, so it was a no brainer to stashbust this line for my layout today.

Love those layers beneath my photo - very cool!

Paper Issues: June Scraplift Sunday #4

Hi  Happy Arty Days Friends!

It's Sunday, & you know that means it's time for a Paper Issues Scraplift 

& today we're lifting this layout from me! 

Eeep! What an honour!

I love my original, so I decided to flip the design for a really different look! 

I also opted for a Summer page instead of a Fall one too! 

Here's what I created.......

"The Ocean Is Calling"

Omgoodness! How fun is this?!!!

Such a bright, fun and contemporary Summer page! Love it!

I have used the new Pink Paislee Summer Lights collection & combined it with washi tape from Heidi Swapp's  Magnolia Jane collection. 

Despite being a predominantly girly Summer line, 

Summer Lights worked perfectly for my Mister A for Awesome!

& that chipboard car sticker is awesome sauce!

More fabulous 6 x 12 and Chipboard Stickers and I just love that grid pattern paper! (No.8 - get it here!)

Paper Issues: May Swag Bag Sunday

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Time for some Paper Issues Swag Bag inspiration with this month's edition of 

The April Swag Bag is a golden delight!

Here's a peak at how awesome it is....

Ummm, WOW!!!

It's no secret that I love me a swag bag or 3, but seriously, this one is a MUST have! 

Possibly my most favourite Swag Bag of.all.time!!!

And because it's so awesome, 

I made 2 layouts with it (& still have left overs too! Yay!)

But enough chatter, here's my first layout....

"Hello Handsome"

Hello Handsome, indeed! Love this lil guy!

It's Autumn (Fall) here in Australia right now, and the golden hues in this Swag Bag are a perfect match for my Fall photographs! How cute is my Mr a for Awesome in those leaves?!!

Adorable!

I've used a patterned paper strip from Heidi Swapp's Magnolia Jane line, as well as that gorgeous woodgrain from Fancy Pants Designs' Golden Days collection for the base of my layout. 

Everything else you spy is from the Swag Bag! 

I know, so much awesome in one lil bag!!!

I just love that journaling / tag pocket, and that copper arrow is a firm fave!

Such a different vibe from the first layout, and yet such a fabulous Autumn page! 

Love this!

Apart from my white cardstock and watercolor paint, 

everything you see is from the Swag Bag! So much awesome in these mini kits!

Paper Issues: *New Challenge* Add It Up!

Hi My Creative Friends!

It's time to share another of our NEW challenges starting this month at Paper Issues!
This challenge is called,

& it's super fun!!!

Every month we will be assigned a goal number of points to achieve.
This month it's score anything over one hundred points.
The points values are here:

So if you use a photo it equals 5 points - but if you were to use 5 photos on your layout it would earn you 25 points ( 5 x 5 = 25). Simply Add Up your layout to ensure you reach the target number. 

As I mentioned before, this month is a busy layout, as we're looking for a score of 100 or more.

Here's what I created, 

"You Rock"

How awesome is this?! Love this cool lil guy! 

I've combined Heidi Swapp's Magnolia Jane with Cocoa Vanilla Studio's new boy line, You Rock - & I just love how it turned out! 

Only one photo for me, so lots of pattern papers, ink, stamping & washi tape to bump up my score. Plus a whole stack of fun embellishments; chipboard stickers, transparencies, clear stickers, veneers, ephemera and more! I think my score is around 110ish.... lol, it's definitely over 100 anyways ;)

How fabulous is that CVS rubber charm 'You Rock'?  So very cool!!!

I am also in LOVE with the Magnolia Jane: Special Clear Stamp Set which I have used randomly through my design, 

And yes, that's a lil more houndstooth love from the Paper Issues happy mail squeezed in here too!

That gold transparency is pretty awesome too!!!

My boy. Totally Rad!!!

Paper Issues: New Issue: Round 1: Mom-o-grams

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

It's a new month & that means it's 

New Issue Monday 

at

 Paper Issues!!!

This month's issue is: Mom-o-grams

Suggested ideas: create an altered paper project, use letters in a fun way, add a monogram, anything about Mother’s Day or Grandmothers

Here's what I created, 

"LOVE being your mum"

Isn't this the sweetest?! 

How things have changed too!

 No more imaginative play, but snapchat filter fun instead! LOL! 

She's growing up sooooooo fast! 

Another great reason to scrap this moment and remind Miss M how much I really do LOVE being her mum! So thankful, & so very blessed!!!

I have stashbusted Crate Paper's Heart Day collection for this layout, as well as a couple of washi tapes from the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane line. So pretty!

Oh that fringing! Love those cute heart stickers too!!!

The chipboard stickers, (especially that LOVE banner) are just stunning!!!

Those tiny gold alpha stickers are from the Maggie Holmes Gather collection, and coordinate perfectly with Heart Day!

That fairy floss is the cutest!!!

That banner title really is glitter heaven! La la love it!

Welcome back for one of my favourite Paper Issues challenges -
Take 5 Tuesday 
If you haven't played along with us before,

Super pretty, huh?! All my heart for this girl! 

I've used the new Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane collection, it's so elegant and perfect for my Miss! 

How stunning is the gold acetate title?!! Love it!

I really wanted to dive into the washi tape rolls that compliment this range & I just love how this design turned out! (I even managed to use 4 of the washi rolls! Yay!)

Lots of pretty papers and ephemera in this line! 

And with all those gorgeous black & white patterns, 

how could I resist the houndstooth tissue wrap that our Paper Issues mail arrives in?!!!

I've used it to mount my photo onto, and create a lil texture and dimension. Super cool!

Paper Issues: Product Spotlight: Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Welcome back for another fabulous Product Spotlight with Paper Issues!

Today we're shining the light on the gorgeous new 

Heidi Swapp: Magnolia Jane collection. 

Just a bit gorgeous, don't you think?!

I was so smitten with the fabulous Ephemera and Gold Word Die Cuts that I decided to create a layout using these items as the focus! 

Here's my layout, 

"Treasure" 

How fun is this?!! Told you those Die Cuts are fabulous! 

The rose pink and kraft colours in this collection are really awesome and pushed me a little outta my comfort zone - let's be honest, it's been a while since I used kraft anything!?!

Heidi Swapp has won me back over! 

The somewhat vintagey & whimsical ephemera is SO cool!

I love this line and can't wait to cut into my papers too!!!

I just love how this turned out!

It was a beach selfie of my daughter and I earlier this year. So many great memories from that day!
