Paper Issues: April Scraplift Sunday #4

Hi Creatives!

It's Sunday Funday! And at Paper Issues that means only one thing....

Yayyy!
Time for another super fun Scraplift!
For this week's lift, we're taking inspiration from the gorgeous Courtney Sawyer.
Here's her stunning layout....

Sweet, indeed!!!
And here's my take on it...

"Love You"

I had SO much fun creating this!
And how gorgeous are my two in the photo?!! Growing up way too fast!
You'll spot that I am stash busting the last of my Crate Paper: Maggie Holmes: Carousel collection.
Such a fun and whimsical line that I've made a ton of gorgeous projects from!
If you're really lucky - you might just snare the last of this collection in the store HERE

I have used the reverse side of pattern paper Ferris Wheel as the base for my page, and then added lots of delicious Shimmerz Paints Vibez in Pop Art Pink & Jeni Be Bleu to my cardstock layer.
Here's a closer look.....

Those colors combined with the gold are everything!!!
And speaking of gold, how awesome is that Gold Puffy Word Sticker title?!!
So fabulous!!!
The gold glitter scallop trim is actually cut from the Ephemera packaging - cool, huh?
So many pretty details to this lift!

The roller skate Enamel Pin Sticker is just the cutest adornment!
I just adore how fun and playful this layout is! Perfect for my two darlings!

And there you have it!
My take on this week's Scraplift Sunday!

Paper Issues: November Try It Tuesday!

Hi Papercrafting Friends!

It's time for another super fun edition of

One of my favourite challenges on the Paper Issues calendar,
but hey, I may be bias, lol!

I just love trying new things, and I get really excited by all the wonderful ideas you all share with us!
This month we want you to try....

 creating your own embellishments!

(and then use that embellishment/s on your project that you share with us!)
So much fun!

Here's just a few suggestions/ideas of DIY embellishments to get you started:

Make your own flowers from dies, layered cut files or ribbons
Paper rosettes
 Layered tags
 Feathered arrows from skewer sticks
Stitch die cut ephemera together to create a new look
Banners / bunting & flags from washi tape

The possibilities are endless!
& Remember: This challenge is suitable for all creations; scrapbook layouts, cards, OTPs, planners etc

For my DIY embellishments,  I chose to make paper rosettes.
You'll notice that I hot glued puffy stickers over the center joins for a more 'polished' look......

Aren't they gorgeous?!
You'll also spot that I also created my own layered tag from pattern paper, ephemera, stickers and one of my rosettes. I LOVE how this turned out!
Here's how I combined them all into my layout,

"Sweet Girl"

WOW! Happiness is definitely here!
Such a fun and vibrant page of my sweet girl!
I have used the stunning Crate Paper: Maggie Holmes Carousel collection & it's available in the store HERE.
I just love how bright and playful it is!
To keep everything looking beautifully coordinated, I used pattern papers and stickers from this line to make my rosettes and tag too!
 Let's take a closer look.....

Oh so gorgeous!!! All the paper pretties!!!
From the 6 x 12 Stcikers to the Puffy & Chipboard Stickers, the Die Cut Ephemera & even those Enamel Pin Stickers -  this collection is out to impress!

Just look at that Enamel circus tent?!! So super cute!

The patterned paper base is the B-side of Fairgrounds - love the black n white pattern against those POP colours!
And before you ask, that STUNNING mixed media background has been created with my favourite Shimmerz Paints: Vibez mists!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my take on this month's challenge!
Now it's your turn,
I can't wait to see what you make!

Paper Issues: November: Scrap Soup

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for the November edition of

And what a fun round it is!
If you haven't played before,
simply use all the items on the 'soup recipe' and create away!

Here's what I came up with....

"YAY"

SO much fun!!!
It's just perfect for all our Fair and Carnival photos!
And how awesome are the fabric bows?!!
You should be able to spot all the soup items on my page -
but the 4 x 6 rectangle is a lil harder to see.
It's beneath my photo cluster & features those cute zebras on the paper!
Let's take a closer look at that title.....

The title is from the Die Cut Ephemera pkt in this line, and embellished with those sweet sequin stars - also from the Die Cuts!

So many gorgeous details here, but let's not forget that pretty mixed media background!
I've dived into my Shimmerz Paints stash again, this time using Vibez: Jeni B Bleu & Cold As Ice.
Such a pretty colour combination!
And speaking of pretty things, those Chipboard Stickers are incredible!

This month is all about those pet (animal) adventures!
Think road trips, walks, visits to the vet, special treats - anything is game!

Here's what I came up with.....

"Sweet Treats"

Isn't this adorable?!
I'm not sure who had the better 'sweet treat' here -
My daughter getting to feed the Lemurs,
or,
the Lemurs getting sweet dried fruit treats?!
Either way it was a fabulous moment that had to be scrapped!
A real animal adventure for sure!
I have used the gorgeous new Crate Paper - Maggie Holmes Carousel collection for this layout.
The whimsical carnival theme in this line worked beautifully with my 'Sweet Treats" title.
Let's take a closer look......

Super sweet indeed!
And those gold accents are just somethin'!

I totally adore the vintage ice cream stand ephemera - isn't it the cutest?!!

And I must mention the new enamel pin stickers!
