Paper Issues: March Scrap Soup

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues awesomeness with this month's edition of Scrap Soup!

This month's recipe challenge is super fun!
Simply feature the following ingredients (or more) to whip up your creation with .....

3 embellishments
6 hearts
2 patterned papers
chipboard title
stamping

*Feel free to add anything else you need but your project must include those items*

And here's my layout....

"Happy"

Oh isn't this just the sweetest, and most dreamy girl page!!!
It absolutely kills me that she is growing up so fast, but boy oh boy is she a delightful and happy young person!
So very proud of her!

I have used the Echo Park Fashionista collection, and as you can see, it's just perfect for documenting our teen girls (and shop-a-holics too!)
You'll also spot the Open Hearts Circles cut file

Such a fun design!
And, as always, the Paper Issues cut files are completely FREE!
You can get yours HERE

Now back to my layout.....

I  just adore this photo of our sweet Miss M!
It was a silly out take, but the expression on her face is so happy! Love it!
I layered her photo onto a few frames, pink tissue paper, and a doily.
I embellish this photo cluster with a few die cuts and enamel dots too.

I back the cut file hearts with a mix of pattern papers from the Fashionsita line, and embellish some with sentiments, die cuts and even tiny heart veneers.
I wanted to keep the layout fairly 'clean' so I kept my stamping quite minimal.
I repeat stamp the tiny XO in hot pink.
(The stamp is an old roller stamp in my stash, from Kikki K).
But it's that divine gold foil chipboard title that really adds that finishing touch to my page.....

Isn't that title WOW!!!
The foil is so good that you could be fooled into thinking that this chipboard is possibly a mirror acrylic. But no, it is honestly chipboard!!!
And it has been hoarded in my stash for sometime now! lol.
So glad I used it on this pretty, girly page! Perfect!

And there you have it!
My super pretty take on this month's Scrap Soup challenge!

Paper Issues: November: Scrap Soup

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for the November edition of

And what a fun round it is!
If you haven't played before,
simply use all the items on the 'soup recipe' and create away!

Here's what I came up with....

"YAY"

SO much fun!!!
It's just perfect for all our Fair and Carnival photos!
And how awesome are the fabric bows?!!
You should be able to spot all the soup items on my page -
but the 4 x 6 rectangle is a lil harder to see.
It's beneath my photo cluster & features those cute zebras on the paper!
Let's take a closer look at that title.....

The title is from the Die Cut Ephemera pkt in this line, and embellished with those sweet sequin stars - also from the Die Cuts!

So many gorgeous details here, but let's not forget that pretty mixed media background!
I've dived into my Shimmerz Paints stash again, this time using Vibez: Jeni B Bleu & Cold As Ice.
Such a pretty colour combination!
And speaking of pretty things, those Chipboard Stickers are incredible!

So much awesome in the Carousel collection

I hope you like my fun take on this challenge, & feel inspired to play along too!

Paper Issues: September Scrap Soup

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues awesomeness with this month's edition of

This challenge always gets me thinking and creating outside my comfort zone - love it!!!
Such a cool recipe list to work from today too!

Here's my layout...

"Wander"

I've gone all soft, delicate and oh-so pretty for my take today!
With such a gorgeous Fall photograph of my darling girl, I knew I wanted to create something that really reflected her gentle beauty. I was totally smitten with all the pink and rose hues in the new American Crafts: 1Canoe2 Creekside collection, and knew this was the perfect match!
If you look really carefully you'll spot two of my rectangles beneath my photograph, and the other one is a small figure of a leaf journal card.
For my 4 embellishments, I have used that stunning printed Binder Clip, cut files, stickers and those intricate doilies. My arrow rests over the base of my photo, and the tag is beneath it.
So much pretty going on here!
I LOVE the coordinating cut file that Stacie has created for this line,

I have used the two roses in my diagonal layered design,
and back them with the coordinating 6 x 6 Paper Pad papers.
Here's a closer look.......

Absolutely stunning! (& it was super easy to cut too!)
How divine is that Wander heart? It's from the Creekside 6 x 12 Accent Stickers pkt, so are most of the stickers you see here....

Prettiness overload!
La la love it all!

Scrap Soup!
Here's our recipe list.....

And here's what I came up...

"Original BOY"

Isn't this fun?!!
I was totally inspired by a recent layout by the talented Devra Hunt (aka @thebeachygal) , and this is my take on her clever design, as well as including the items on the list!
You'll spy that my 3 photos are all mounted on my  3" squares - love how this looks!
The collection is Photo Play Paper's, Freestyle and it's just perfect for scrapping the boys with!
Here's a closer look for you.....

Isn't this the coolest boy page?!!
The element stickers are my favourites - so versatile and perfect for 'dressing up' your layouts!

Love this boy & Crate Paper's Cool Kid collection is perfection for him!

Here's a few close ups.....

Yep. Love this kid! That pretty much sums it up!

How super are those alphas?!! So glossy and shiny too!
My superhero without a doubt!
That cute fox face is my fussy cut item - it's from pattern paper Run & Jump, cool huh?

Paper Issues: June Scrap Soup

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues awesomeness with this month's edition of

Isn't this month's recipe fun?!!
Simply include the above listed items on your layout to play along!
Note: You can use more of these items if you wish; this list is just the minimum requirement for your page!

Here's what I created,
"Summer"

La la love this!!! Summer has never been so much fun!
I've used the new Echo Park Summer Dreams collection - it just sings happiness!
And yes, it's the second layout I have made this week using that rainbow plaid pattern paper, cos there's no such thing as too much plaid right?!!
I've also incorporated some of the 6 x 6 pattern papers into my design, but it's those Paper Fans that really make my layout! What a fun circle embellishment!!!

In keeping with all those circles, I have also used a mix of circular chipboard stickers, brads and enamel dots! So bright, fun and playful! Super sweet!
My title is from the Chipboard Stickers too - love it!

My fave circle would have to be this photo of my two darlings! Just divine!!!
And there you have it!
Hope I have inspired you to get creating and play along!

Paper Issues: *new challenge* Scrap Soup

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

There's a few new challenges starting this month at Paper Issues,
the first of which is

- Scrap Soup -

You'll get an 'ingredients' list every month from Paper Issues,
but you do all the concocting ;)
Oh, and you must use all items on the list too!
Here's this month's list

Note: The 2 long rectangles have no width requirements, so you can make them as thick or thin, as you like!

Here's my take,
"Dream"

Isn't this the prettiest?! Love this photograph of my two together!
I've stashbusted my Hazelwood 1Canoe2 collection leftovers to create this super sweet layout!
You'll notice that my 11" rectangle is quite thin as I used the bottom of a pattern paper, product label strip for this rectangle. Great way to use up those strips!
Here's a few close ups....

That divine yellow button is from the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection.

Butterflies, blooms & mason jars! Can it get any sweeter?!
Love it!
Hope you liked my take on this fabulous new challenge, and will play along!
