Pinkfresh Studio: July Challenge!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back to the Happy Arty Days blog!

Today I am sharing my take on the new Pinkfresh Studio Monthly Challenge!
Here's what it looks like..............

SO awesome!!!
Rainbow and our new liquid watercolors! Yesssss!

I wanted to create something different with our watercolors for this post & use these paints to stamp with! Pinkfresh Studio have an amazing array of stamps!
I hope you like what I've created....

"Dream A Little Dream"

Oh woweee! I just LOVE how effective this looks!
I have used stamp set Semi Circle Pattern by Inna Moreva, and using the solid semi circle stamp, loosely created those rainbow scallops! I simply diluted our watercolors and painted them directly onto the stamp! To make them stand out a lil more, I then stamped varying semi circle patterns over the scallops in corresponding inks.  Such a cool technique to try!
Here's a closer look......

So.much.gorgeousness!
I have combined Pinkfresh Studio: Be You and Let Your Heart Decide collections to create the remainder of this page! I am in LOVE with the Let Your Heart Decide Alphas!!!
You also notice that I add lots of watercolor splatters to each color row too!

I have used the following Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors for this fun layout,

You can see (& order) ALL the colors HERE.

Here's a few close ups for you......

The color intensity of the Liquid Watercolors is just insane! Such vivid, bright color!

So Beautiful! (Perfect for my two cuties in the pic! ;)  )

And there you have it!
My super fun take on this month's challenge at Pinkfresh Studio!

I hope I have inspired you to play along!
(& maybe try a new technique with our Liquid Watercolors too!)

Pinkfresh Studio: NICU Card Drive & Blog Hop!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome to the
Pinkfresh Studio
NICU Card Drive & Blog Hop!

I am so honoured and fortunate to be participating in this very special event!
Emergency & Intensive Care is something I hold quite dear to my own heart too!
There have been a few close calls with my darling boy,
and I can't even begin to describe our gratitude and thanks to the amazing hospital staff!

But enough chatter, let's get onto the good stuff!

Here's the beautiful mood board that we're being inspired by.....

Isn't this the sweetest?!
It immediately reminded me of our beautiful Escape the Ordinary collection, and as I am from the Scrapbook Team, I thought I'd create a few 'paper only' cards for you.....

I love this card set!
The mountain scenes, and the gray & gold combination really spoke to me!
The phrase stickers in Escape The Ordinary are perfect for the strength & encouragement sentiment too!

But, if you prefer a 'newer' collection, I also created a sweet card with the very pretty Let Your Heart Decide line.....

This time being solely inspired by the color scheme - but isn't it lovely?!

Which collection do you prefer?

I am torn between these two cards - I love them both!
But these ones are pretty awesome also....

Capable of Anything!
You so got this!

Here's a few more close ups....

I WILL climb this mountain - what could be more encouraging?!

Oh that mountain paper is just perfection!!!
It's from the Escape the Ordinary 6 x 6 Paper Pad,
but you can also get the same print in 12 x 12, it's called DISCOVER.

I hope my cards have inspired you, and moreso, I hope they bring some love and support to the NICU ward.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Please remember to leave a comment to go in the drawer to win a prize!
Good Luck!

Thankyou!

Pinkfresh Studio: Let Your Heart Decide!

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for some stunning Pinkfresh Studio inspiration using the gorgeous
 Let Your Heart Decide collection!
I have created two very sweet pages for my share today -
one for the girls, and one for the boys! Perfect!
As the saying goes, ladies first - so here's my feminine layout,
"Sweet Girl"

Oh isn't this delicate and divine?!!
Such a clean, and crisp look that is so refreshing and fun!
She really is such a sweet girl, and the pretty colors in this collection simply make her black and white photograph shine!
I absolutely adore the WHIM pattern paper, and that gorgeous hue of pink was perfect for backing my cut file heart onto. The cut file is a FREE one from Paper Issues called Autumn Blessings and you can download it HERE
With so many floral elements to this line, I just had to make a feature of them!
I back the cut file blooms with pattern papers QUIRK & ESCAPADE from the 6 x 6 PAPER PAD, and embellish them with WOOD VENEER STICKERS, LEATHERETTE STICKERS & EPHEMERA DIE CUTS.
Simple, but so effective!

I position my photograph on the other side of the cut file heart, and embellish it with a few floral LAYERED STICKERS, and that  DIE CUT EPHEMERA subtitle, Dreamer. To add a lil whimsy, the subtitle is underlined with that cute scalloped LEATHERETTE STICKER....

SO much fun!
And those PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS for my Sweet Girl title are just incredible!
I balance all the crisp white cardstock with the warmth of another WOOD VENEER STICKER and then embellish around my photo - how cute is that hummingbird?!! Love it!
For finishing touches, I add a super sweet PUFFY STICKER bow to the top of my heart....

Simple, sweet and such a pretty page that you could easily recreate at home!
And now for the boy!
He's called Mister A for Awesome in our house, and you'll see why....

"Vacay Vibes"

Oh Mister Cool, indeed!
This photo is from our recent vacation, and as you can see he had all the chillaxin' under control, lol! He is so much fun to hang out with!
In keeping with my previous layout, I have opted for another cut file on my white cardstock base. To add 'strength'  I have used a more masculine target style heart cut file - it's also a FREE one from Paper Issues (they have ALL the best free files) called Mark Your Spot. Grab yours HERE! I have also reduced my white cardstock base to 11 x 11 inches, and layered it onto pattern paper, CAPER.
I back a few of the cut file hearts with pattern paper QUIRK from the 6 x 6 PAPER PAD, and then use the embellishments from The Mix No. 2 collection to adorn my layout.
The PUFFY ALPHABET STICKERS are my favourites.....

So awewsome, huh?! And the navy color really pops against all the white!
The DIE CUT EPHEMERA and CARDSTOCK STICKERS are pretty cool too - but it's those STITCHED HEARTS that I can't get enough of! Such a fun embellishment!

For my photo cluster, I have layered a few stickers onto a DIE CUT EPHEMERA tag, and then positioned the tag onto the edge of my photo. You'll also spot that fabulous EPOXY STICKER, and my mounted subtitle Hello Happiness

For finishing touches, I scatter PUFFY STICKER hearts throughout the design. Love it!
And there you have it! One for the girls, & one for the boys with the delightful
Let Your Heart Decide collection!

Paper Issues: March Scraplift Sunday Wk2

Hi Creative Friends!

Hooray for Sunday! Happy Days!
And at Paper Issues, Sundays are for scraplifting!

Today we're lifting this incredible design from the talented Rachel O'Neal....

Isn't this fun!!! All the circles make for a great lift!!!
Here's what I came up with....

"YES"

Isn't this sweet?!!
Just me and Mr A for Awesome hanging out in the city and having fun! Love it!

I have used the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio: Let Your Heart Decide collection, and I am just loving the pretty colors in this line!!!
I have used pattern paper Impulse for my base, and then layered it with an 11 x 11" white cardstock. My photo takes center stage, and has been backed with a super cute Stitched Frame, reverse side of pattern paper Whim & a doily from my stash!
There are a LOT of cool circle embellishments in this line which I combined with some punched pattern papers from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad to recreate that fun background!
Here's a closer look for you....

As always, the Pinkfresh sentiments are spot on!
It's almost as if Kinnari (owner and creator of Pinkfresh Studio) lives inside my head at times!
Good heart and happy vibes for the win!
And how awesome is that Wood Veneer Sticker title? Yes! La la LOVE it!

Aren't those Die Cuts just divine?!!

Here's a better look for you....

*sigh*
Love this happy moment & Let You Heart Decide was perfect for documenting it!
I've based my cardstock on pattern paper, Instinct. Such a pretty design and the colors worked so well with my beach explorer boy page! Cool and inviting - just like the water in the pictures!
I have two main clusters in my layout - let's take a look at the main one.....

Oh my heart!
How divine are all those embellishments?!!
My photo is layered on a tag, and adorned with lots of pretties from the Ephemera Pack.
You'll also spot those stunning Wood Veneer Stickers too!
That Epoxy Heart is so striking!!!

And here's a close up of the smaller photo cluster at the bottom of my page.....
