Elle's Studio: La La Love You Printable Inspiration!

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio January Kit Love,
plus some True Love Printable Inspiration!
I just adore creating love-filled pages, and this kit was perfect for this!
Here's what I created,

 "La La Love You" - 8.5 x 11" layout

Oh, how adorable is this?! La la love, indeed!
And you bet I put hearts on it!!!

Other Supplies: Printer quality white A4 paper, home printer, baker's twine - natural.

Such a sweet scrapbook page & for those of you who follow my creating, you'd know that this is my 5th scrapbook page that I have created with the January Kit and new releases. Yes, you read correctly, layout #5 because the January Kit is THAT awesome! That said, I was definitely getting low on supplies when I made this - so how did I get my kit and extras to stretch so far?
Three little words: Elle's Studio Printables! Here's how....

I started my layout by downloading & extracting the Elle's Studio True Love Printables Zipped File to my laptop, which uses Windows software. Once extracted, instead of clicking on the True Love PDF, I  double right clicked on the icon named: EllesStudio-TrueLove-January2020-Printables-JournalingTag02. I then selected to print this image in the standard Windows Print Pictures option. I selected the following: A4 photo size, best quality photo and printed the image to 'fill the page'. I used a quality white A4 printer paper to print with, but a light weight 80pound smooth cardstock would also work well here.
*Please note that printed colors may vary depending on your individual paper, printer and ink options.
Once printed, I trimmed my A4 paper down to the 8.5" x 11" layout size. Perfect! Who would've thought that our Printable Note Cards would also make fabulous pattern papers?! Love it!
Such a great way to maximize your Elle's Studio supplies and make them last that little bit longer!

With such a fabulous striped pattern at the top and base of my paper, I decided to fill the white area with my sweet girl's photograph. I layered my photo onto my few remaining note cards from the January Kit - you'll spy that the 4 x 6" card is actually the same pattern design (only a different color) as the printed one. I trimmed it to 4 x 5" to better fit my page, then layered the 3 x 4 note cards over it. Repeat patterns, shapes, and colors are all integral elements to my design style. With this in mind, it was quickly determined that my page would feature horizontal stripes, hearts, and that super pretty pink & green color palette with red, black and white accents.

To the right of my photo cluster, I embellished with the Love Tag from the You Are Loved Die Cuts pack. I adorned the tag with a La La Love You Puffy Sticker heart (of course!) and some baker's twine from my stash. For added impact, I foam mounted the tag which added some subtle dimension to the page.

On the pretty pink stripes at the top of the printed paper, I embellished with my La La Love You Puffy Sticker title and I Adore You Stickers sentiments and journaling. The puffy alphas fitted perfectly inside the stripe, and really popped against the pink! As my layout appeared to have alternating stripes or features of black and white, I added the 'cutie' puffy alphas in black above my photo cluster to maintain this look and achieve balance.

For finishing touches, I added a few more of the You Are Loved Die Cuts and that fabulous Little Moments Leatherette Sticker.
Simple, easy, loved up creating with our January Kit and extras!
I hope my layout has inspired you to document your loved ones, and to stretch your kits a little further with our amazing Elle's Studio Printables!

Elle's Studio: Love You Lots Stamp Feature!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio awesomeness!
Today I am shining the product spotlight on the fabulous new, Love You Lots Stamp!
As always, the Elle's Studio stamps have my heart!
I mean seriously, Elle's Studio stamps are simply the BEST!
I get so excited for the stamp release every month - SO good!
But enough of the chatter, here's that amazing stamp in action with my latest layout,

"Love You"

Other: Machine Stitching, Scrapbook.Com Hybrid Premium Inks - Black & asstd. colors, Bazzill Basics Avalanche Cardstock.

Oh my heart! Love You Lots, indeed! What a terrific stamp set! From the fabulous hand drawn heart icons to the labels, phrases and sentiments, this stamp certainly has it all! I couldn't resist getting a bit inky and created a super sweet page of me and my true love!

Here's a closer look at my scrapbook page....

Isn't this just gorgeous?! Those hand drawn hearts inspired me to create a hearts on hearts design, and once I got stamping I just couldn't stop!
As my photo was black and white, I knew I could opt for any color scheme, and the pretty striped paper from the Love Is 6 x 8.5" Paper Stack was to good to refuse! It totally dictated the colors I chose to stamp with and gave me all the feels!
(Who doesn't love a rainbow of hearts, right?)
I trimmed my cardstock down to 11" x 12" and then butted strips of this awesome striped paper down the sides of my layout.

Next, I took a few of my fave coordinating ink pads and stamped up a variety of both the solid and hand drawn hearts. I fussy cut them out, and organized them into color order in accordance with the Love Is paper.  I then arranged them onto my cardstock base in a large heart shape. Rather than gluing, I machine stitched these hearts into place so that I could fold back the hearts to create a 'wing-like' dimensional effect. I just love how effective this looks!

In keeping with the orderly design, I then repeat stamped a mix of the sentiments to fill the inside of the large heart. I loved how this looked, but to break up the monotony of the stamped words & add more visual appeal, I also added the occasional color coordinating sticker.

The mix of textures, in particular the combination of the puffy stickers, the leatherette stickers and the stamped and folded hearts really added that 'extra' something to this fun and playful design!
With so much color in the stamping, I wanted to keep my photograph simple and understated. I decided to avoid backing it with colorful paper, and instead just layered it over the fabulous larger stamped heart.

I embellished my photo with a sticker or two, but otherwise left it pretty plain so it would stand out against all that delicious inky color! Perfect!

For finishing touches and a polished look, I added the black sentiment La La Love You Puffy Stickers around the exterior of the large heart. Last but by no means least, I had to add some journaling with our amazing Love You Lots Stamp! Striking black ink ensured that this journal spot was easily identified and bold in its intention. Love it!

Bright & beautiful stamping for the win!
I hope I have inspired you to get a lil inky with the fabulous Love You Lots Stamp!

Yay!!!
So much awesome squeezed into this month's reveal!

***You can shop ALL the new releases in the Elle's Studio store HERE***

But enough of the chatter, and more of the inspiration!

Here's what I've created for today's reveal....

"Autumn"

Whoa! How awesome is this?!
Autumn is my favorite season & I just love all the Fall elements in this month's kit!

Other: Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock, Scrapbook.Com Premium Dye Ink Pads - Black, Rubber Ducky & Postal Blue & SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins - That Summer Feelin'.

Here's a better look for you....

So many amazing details to this layout!
Firstly, I must mention the Wood Veneer Leaves. These tiny little veneers had a huge impact on me!
Not only do they look incredible, but combined with my darling boy's photo, they also inspired my layout design. In particular, they were the template for those larger, fussy cut, Home Sweet Home pattern paper, leaves. So cool!
For maximum impact, I also drew on the colors in my photograph for the Home Sweet Home leaves.
Love how effective this looks!
Here's a closer look for you....

  Yep, love those veneers!
Speaking of love, my faves from the new releases would have to be the incredible Everyday Tabs Stamp & the coordinating Everyday Tabs Metal Die. Seriously AhhhMAZING!!!
I want to stamp (& tab) all.the.things!!!

How crisp are the Everyday Tabs Stamps?!
So hard to believe that those sentiment phrase tabs are stamped and not printed die cuts!
Oh, and that darling acorn?
It's also from the Wood Veneer Leaves pk! Those veneers are some serious must-haves!!!

LOVE!

For my second layout, I really did have to tab all.the.things...or at least, metal die cut them!
Here's what I'm talkin' 'bout.....

"Fall"

Oh.my.stars!!!
How amazing are the rainbow tabs on this page?!
SO.much.texture and interest!

Other: Bazzill Marshmallow Cardstock.

Let's take a closer look at this sweet page.....

SO cute! Even from little, he's always loved playing in the leaves!
And speaking of the leaves, you guessed it! I'm using more of those awesome Wood Veneer Leaves to embellish my page. See what I mean about 'must-haves'?! Too good!
But it's those stunning 'rainbow' tabs that really amaze!

All the color papers, apart from the purple, are from the Home Sweet Home 6 x 6 Paper Stack. The purple tabs are cut from one of the 3 x 4 note cards in the October Kit.
Such a fun way to use these items!
I folded all the tabs upwards to create added dimension, texture & interest too!

The Autumn Puffy Stickers are also an integral part of my page, as they provide both my title and enhance the impression of movement (falling leaves).  So simple, and yet so effective!

For finishing touches, I add a little journaling with a few of the Thankful Stickers.

And there you have it!
Fabulous Fall themed creating with the new

Be sure to check back here on the 14th, as I'll be sharing some Spook-tacular Halloween inspiration with the new releases too! ;) Just sayin'

Elle's Studio: August Kit is #1 BEST!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!
Today I am sharing another layout created with the fabulous August Kit & new release items!
There are SO many awesome new elements & add ons to this month's kit, that I challenged myself to incorporate most of them into my layout!

Here's what I created with them,

"#BEST"

Other: Blue & teal stamping ink, white tissue wrap.

Whoa! What a fun school themed page!
It may not be 'back to school' in Australia where I live, but this theme in the August Kit works perfectly for any school occasion. Really versatile, and ideal for my sweet boy's photos.
I started my layout with the Noteworthy repeat print 12" paper, and 1 1/2" strips of the Sunshine 6 x 6  Paper Stack. I butted these two strips together on the left hand side to create a feature point and anchor for my design.

Next, I stamped up a mix of blue & teal stars with the Back To School Stamp. I used both types of stars, and positioned them to the right of the Sunshine paper strips. As I had planned to only use the left hand side of my page, I was to careful to avoid stamping further than the center of the page.
I love the pop of color the stars add to the background!

Design Tip: The use of tiny stamped icons, and or shapes, is a great alternative to enamel dots or sequins, especially for masculine pages.

The next step in creating my layout was to form the photo clusters & layers. For this, I used a mix of 3" x 4" journal cards & die cuts from the August Kit, 3" x 4" cuts from the Sunshine 6 x 6 Paper Stack papers, and the Back to School Puffy Stickers. The pencils and book stack embellishments were fussy cut from the note cards included in the Kit. At the base of the photo layers, I added a torn sheet of tissue wrap, followed by some foam tape. This added both texture & dimension to the clusters.

To unify the two photo clusters, I used one of the Makes Me Smile Cork Circles as focal embellishment between them. This draws attention to both photos, and in turn, connects the images.

You'll also spy the Notebook Puffy Alphabet Stickers travelling down left side of both clusters too. The use of A,B,C 1,2,3 is not only a fun way to incorporate more of the school theme, but it also an orderly pattern that subtly encourages further connection between both photos.

For a finished look, I stamped the #1 from the Back to School Stamp and followed it with the # BEST acrylic from the Title Builder Vol.3 Acrylic set.

And there you have it!
A really effective looking layout from such a relatively simple design!
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with the fabulous Elle's Studio August Kit and new releases today!

Elle's Studio: August Kit Inspiration!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Elle's Studio inspiration!
The August Kit and New Release items are nothing short of AWEsome!!!
I mean, like seriously, so good!
Here's a quick look at them all.....

August Kit

Told you it was all kinds of awesome!!!
And the Add-Ons are just as good....

So many must-haves here!
And as usual, the Elle's Studio stamps have my heart!

And last, but by no means least,
here's a peek at the August Digitals....

Wow! August is jam packed with fabulous products!

Fabulous products means even better creative possibilities,
here's what I came up with....

 "Back To School"

How sweet is this back to school theme page?!

Other Supplies: White cardstock, Scrapbook.Com Exclusive Premium Hybrid Inks - Rubber Ducky & Postal Blue, Machine Stitching.
Here's a closer look....

With so many school themed products available, I just couldn't resist documenting my son's first day back! Such a happy moment, and one for his milestones album!
I selected primary colors for my layout palette.
The warmth of the red & yellow really make the blue pop, and they offset one another beautifully.
As a secondary theme to my page, I also featured stars - especially loving the stamped ones from the Back To School Stamp!
The repetition of color, shape, texture and pattern really makes my design 'easy on the eye' and the white space ensures that my photograph remains the focal point. Love it!
Here's a couple close ups...

Those veneer!!! And that super cute apple puffy sticker!
So many awesome embellishments from this month's new releases!
And let's not forget the fabulous cork circles....

Such a terrific kit (& add on items) to document Back to School!

For my second layout today, I have created a an 8.5" x 11" page documenting a favorite Summer memory of my two darlings a few years ago....

"Favorite"

Favorite, indeed!
I remember this moment like it was yesterday!

Other Supplies: White cardstock, Staz-On Black Ink, machine stitching, sequins.

Here's a better look....

Isn't this bright & fun?!
I just love everything about Summer!
For this layout, I used repetition & white space again to maximize attention to my sweet photo!
I used a scalpel to cut the circle from the 3 x 4 note card from the August Kit, and then used the circular 'color burst' card to frame my photo.  To add emphasis, I then foam mounted my framed photo onto the larger 6 x 4 note card of the same pattern. So effective!

I combined the Shine Die Cuts and Title Builder Vol.3 Stamp & Acrylic to create my mixed title.
The variance of  materials & fonts added so much interest, don't you think?

Love the bright colors and repeated hearts! Gorgeous!

And there you have it!
Two super fun pages with the new August Kit & Add ons!

You can see more inspiration from me with this kit a lil later in the month.

Thanks so much for visiting!
