Paper Issues: November Pinspire Me

Hi Happy Scrappy Friends!

Time for this month's Pinspire Me fun with Paper Issues!
This month's inspirational mood board is such an awesome one - check it out:

Love this! So rich, and warm!
And here's my take on it,

"Adore You"

Naww! Love this lil guy! (Despite his antics at times - LOL!)
I've been really drawn in by the seasonal colours and those leaves in the board.
I've used a woodgrain paper from my stash,
and combined it with the Maggie Holmes Gather collection to create this warm and Autumn kinda feel.
It's such a diverse collection that anything, and everything, works with Gather!
Here's a few closer shots.....

The ephemera leaves are perfect for suggesting Fall, and support my photograph perfectly!

Lots of Thickers and stickers goodness on this layout too!

Awesome!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on this fabulous challenge!

Paper Issues: Pawsitively Pets November

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Time for another installment of one my favourite, super fun, Paper Issues challenges!

This month's fun is to create an animal or pets related page that also includes 3 patterned papers
 & some mixed media splatter!
Cool, huh?!
Here's my layout,

"The Boy & His Dog"

Love how this turned out!
I have used the Dear Lizzy Saturday collection, and a very cute pic of our boy and his favourite dog!
Yes it's his comforter / support toy, but it is also the dog that goes everywhere with us!
This dog is as much a part of our family as any 'real' dog, so it seemed fitting to scrap!
Let's take a closer look at this layout....

I absolutely LOVE the high gloss Thickers in this range - so shiny! The AND is from the wooden veneers in the same collection & adds a little  more interest to my title!

Some more veneer shapes here, and how sweet is that red birdy peg?!! Too adorable!
Here's another look......

You'll also spy lots of the black print, clear stickers on this page.
As well as the 3 patterned papers, and splatter requirements!
Love that rubber shape heart too.....

Super cool!
A boy & his dog - Nawww!!! Just the sweetest!

Hope you liked my take on this fun challenge today!

Here's my layout,

"Dream Big"

Isn't she the prettiest?!
And pretty girls need pretty pages, so the Posh collection was the perfect choice!
I mean, look at those sweet doggies and all those florals!!! Divine!
Let's take a closer look.....

I adore that sweet Carpe Diem mascot dog - he's so fun!
& did you know his name is Winston?! Even cuter!!!

My title is from the Fundamental stickers sheet,
& serves as a great reminder to my lovely girl -
Be adventurous and DREAM BIG!
Here's a closer view of that title and sweet Winston.....

Paper Issues: November Roll The Dice

Hi Paper Pals!
Today I'm sharing my take on the November: Roll the Dice challenge over at Paper Issues.
This month the dice declared that the challenge would be:
Use 2 photos and 2 wood veneers or wooden buttons on a layout.
Yay! A really easy one to have some fun with!
And fun is exactly what my take is all about -
here's my layout,

"Embrace Life: Here & Now"

Here's my 2 cuties living in the moment, and enjoying the carousel ride! Love it!
Told you it was fun!
I have been stash busting again, and using up my Pink Paislee: Paige Evans: Fancy Free collection.
For my 2 veneers I have used two printed wooden circle shapes for my layout.
The colours & patterns in this range are amazing!
SO bright and happy, perfect for my subjects!
Here's a few close-ups....

LOVE the glitter thickers!!! Stunning!
And the sweet buttons in Fancy Free are a great alternative to ephemera, sequins or enamel dots.

More thickers goodness....

Love that veneer 'embrace life' circle! And those buttons!!!

Fancy Free is my two darlings to a T!
Hope you liked my interpretation of this fun challenge!

Paper Issues: Product Spotlight: Maggie Holmes - Crate Paper: Gather collection

Hi Creatives!

Welcome back for another Paper Issues Product Spotlight!
Today is all about Maggie Holmes Crate Paper Gather collection!!!

Prettiness overload!
And I have been creating sooooooo many pretty pages with this collection that I decided to go for something a bit different for this spotlight - a boy layout!
So, here's my super cool dude take on the Gather collection,

"You Had Me At Hello"

I know, right?! Could he get any cuter!
Love how this turned out too! Bold, bright and daring -
A bit like my sweet subject in the photograph!
Here's a few close-ups for you....

#LOVETHIS indeed! He is such a cool lil guy!
This collection is surpisingly perfect for boys too!!!

One of Mister A for Awesome's favourite things to tell me is, "I like you and I love you Mum" - so that gold foil sticker had to feature on this layout. Perfect!
(Should add, it's one of my favourite things to hear too!)

Isn't he the sweetest?! He always has me at hello! Every.single.time.!
Love my boy! & Love the new Gather collection too!

Mixed Media Layouts with Imaginarium Designs!

Hi Creative Friends!

Time for a little chipboard love!
Today I have two very different, but both really inspiring, mixed media layouts to share!
So without further ado, here's this month's DT creations for Imaginarium Designs....

First up, I am sharing this super cool boy layout,

"Right NOW"

Awesome, huh?!!
I absolutely adore this boy, and this layout just captures his personality perfectly!
Bold, bright colours, exciting, energetic and fun!
I've used the Dear Lizzy: Saturday collection (incl. the coordinating stickers & veneer numerals) combined with some fabulous chippies to create a really cool look!
1. Just for fun, 2. just love. 3. right now 4. life is now
Love this!
Let's take a closer look.....

Both the phrase, 'Right NOW' & the pie chart chipboards have been inked in Staz On in black. I wanted to create a cut file background look with the pie charts; so I paper pieced the sections, and used them to layer my photo onto.
Love how this turned out.....

To enhance the piecharts, and really make them 'pop', I also created a circular Gelatos design beneath them. I also added some watercolour splats for fun too! Cool effect!

The piechart peg from the Dear Lizzy collection coordinated with the chipboard perfectly & was the inspiration for my layout's colour scheme. The crosses chipboards have been inked in complimentary Red, Lime & Saffron Yellow inks.

Such a super cool page for my super cool boy! Love it!

My second mixed media layout is very soft, delicate, and feminine - much like my subject!
Here's my layout,

"Beautiful"

Swoon! I love how delicate and pretty this is!
I've used embellishments from the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Colour Me Happy collection, as well as watercolour paints, cotton and our favourite chippies to create this stunning page!
Let's take a closer view......

Super pretty! That divine frame, and title, 'Beautiful' have been given a light spritz in Lindy's Stamp Gang: Straburst Spray in Golden Oats.

Love how delicate that golden finish is! Soft gold with a hint of warmth - simply beautiful, literally!

The flourishes are all embossed in white, and those sweet little hearts are inked in Versa Ink: Petal Pink. They're just divine!!!

Those flourishes are really intricate!

Pretty!
