"Puppy Love"

Sigh! Isn't this pretty?!!
I've combined a few of my favorite Pinkfresh Studio things to create this layout.
You'll spy both the Everyday Musings & Joyful Day collections, as well as the incredible Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors (Sapphire & Lavender).
 Adore!

The cut file featured is designed by my fellow Pinkfresh Studio DT member, Anett Gelencser and is called, Floral Wreath. It's so delicate, and looks perfect backed with the 6 x 6 Paper Pad papers from the Everyday Musings & Joyful Day collections!
Here's a closer look.....

I've adorned the flower centers with a wooden epoxy button from the Joyful Day mixed embellishments pack, as well 2 letter 'O's from the Joyful Day Mini Puffy Alpha Stickers. Such a cute touch!
I scattered enamel dots and a few puffy stickers around the wreath too!

I love how the folded cardstock reveals that stunning pattern paper, reverse side of BIG IDEAS from the Joyful Day collection. Such a beautiful color!

I used the Joyful Day Puffy Alpha Stickers to form my layout title too!
Isn't that font errrrything?!!
Love it!
And there you have it!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my project!

Pinkfresh Studio: Joyful Day Scrapbook Layout & Process Video!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more Pinkfresh Studio inspiration!

Today I am creating with the gorgeous new Joyful Day collection!
Such a dreamy collection to work with!

Here's what I came up with.....

"Birthday Girl"

Told you it was dreamy!!!
So much pretty going on here!

Here's a closer look.....

Sigh!
This is totally swoon worthy!
For this 8.5" x 11" layout, I decided to  make a real feature of the floral wreath pattern paper, Big Ideas. I fussy cut almost the entire sheet, and made a decorative border around my white cardstock base. I just love how effective this looks!

I layer a few of the wreaths with foam tape for added interest & dimension.
I tuck my sweet chipboard framed photos into the border too!

I add my title with the tiny puffy alphabet stickers in coordinating colors, and embellish with die cut ephemera, and enamel dots from the mixed embellishments pack.
Such a simple design, but oh so lovely!

The sweetest!

Big fussy cut Ideas never looked so good!
If you're interested, I have a process video for you to watch...

I hope you enjoyed watching!

Thanks so much for all your support,
Have an amazing week!

Pinkfresh Studio: Indigo Hills 2 & all the pretty things!!!

Hi Friends!

Time for a little Pinkfresh Studio inspiration, and oh.my.heart!
When the Indigo Hills 2 collection arrived, I had so much difficulty cutting into it!
It's that incredibly beautiful!!!
Such a gorgeous collection to document those special moments with!
And in my case, simply the PERFECT collection for all those divine Ballet photographs of my sweet girl!
I could type for hours about the prettiness of Indigo Hills 2,
but instead let's allow my projects to speak for themselves.....

Here's my first layout,

"Moments Are More Important Than Things"

Sigh! Isn't this divine?!
So dreamy, & delicate!
I was immediately drawn to the softer, muted colors and tones in this line. This tranquil color scheme, partnered with the pretty blooms and ornate frames was just an angelic combination!
So pure, and innocent like my subject in the photograph!
You'll spy the reverse side of pattern paper GORGE as my layout base. I just adore that pretty gray color! I have layered a 10" x 10" sheet of pattern paper, RIDGE (also the reverse side) onto it. To this layer I add a 9" x 9" smooth white cardstock layer,  but before sealing the two papers together, I tuck that DIE CUT EPHEMERA bloom in between these layers on the right hand side. Such a pretty detail!

Next, I frame my photo with that divine CHIPBOARD STICKERS oval frame, and then layer it onto that amazing CHIPBOARD STICKERS wreath. So whimsical!
I tuck a few blooms (DIE CUT EPHEMERA & PUFFY STICKER) beneath the wreath. I foam mount my DIE CUT EPHEMERA title, 'Moments Are More Important Than Things' and layer it over the wreath, so it's resting on the edge of my framed photograph. Really pretty!
I embellish around my photo cluster with more CHIPBOARD STICKERS, GOLD FOILED WOOD STICKERS, and even some ENAMEL DOTS.
I add a subtitle, 'love' which I also mount on foam tape and surround with a few more of the ENAMEL DOTS.

Last, but by no means least, I add my type writer font journaling to the base of my layout & embellish with a final PUFFY STICKER & ENAMEL DOT or, two.

So beautiful!
All the pretty and delicate details on this sweet page!
I hope she'll treasure it for years to come!
My second layout embraces the more sassy, fun & playful side of my sweet dancer.....

"Ballet Besties, Mirror Selfies"

Isn't this beautiful?!!
And with such a different look photo, I was able to draw on the deeper, richer purple & indigo tones of this collection! Purple LOVE!!!
I have opted for the very pretty, HIGHLAND pattern paper as my layout background. The striped triangle detail in this paper is so striking and really caught my eye. With this in mind, I decide to position my photo here to ensure it remains the focus of my page!
Beneath my photograph, I layer pattern paper VALLEY, as well as the reverse side of paper RIDGE, DIE CUT EPHEMERA, PHRASE STICKERS & one of those divine JOURNALING SPOTS with FOIL ACCENTS!
Such awesome layers!!!

I surround this pretty photo cluster with a mix of PUFFY STICKERS, ENAMEL DOTS, CHIPBOARD STICKERS, WOOD STICKERS with FOIL ACCENTS, PHRASE STICKERS & even some gold asterisks from the GOLD PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS. I try to respect the diagonal flow of the striped pattern within this embellishing too.
You'll also notice that I adorn my photo with a PUFFY STICKER sentiment - cute!

My title is created with a mix of both GOLD PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS and purple MINI PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS, and follows the movement of the laurel leaves in the pattern paper. So simple & yet, so effective!

And there you have it!
My first play with the all.the.pretty, Indigo Hills 2, things!!!!
I hope my layouts have inspired you to get creating with this simply stunning collection!

Pinkfresh Studio: Simple & Sweet Delight!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for more Pinkfresh Studio inspiration!

Today I am sharing this Summery sweet layout using the fun and fresh,
Simple & Sweet collection.....

"Sweet"

Isn't this delightful?!!
All the lemony goodness here!
And I just love the peach, yellow and pink color scheme - so fun and playful!
I start with a white cardstock base, and cover the top third of the page with that super cool SWEET LIFE pattern paper.
Next, I layer my photograph onto a STITCHED FRAME,  a few off cuts from pattern paper HAPPY LIFE, as well as a few EPHEMERA DIE CUTS.
I position this photo cluster onto the SWEET LIFE paper, and have the remainder of my design cascade beneath the photo.

The main section of this 'cascading' path is created with fussy cuts from pattern paper, FRESH AIR. I just adore this ticket style paper, and had to make a feature out of those labels/sentiments and tickets!
I use foam dots to make the grow your dreams sentiment really pop.
For added interest, I embellish the FRESH AIR cuts with CHIPBOARD STICKERS, EPHEMERA, PUFFY & EPOXY STICKERS.
Here's a closer look for you.....

SO much sweetness!!! You just can't can wrong with lemons! Follow your bliss, indeed!
For finishing touches, I embellish my darling photograph with a larger EPOXY STICKER....

Totally gorgeous!
Everything about this page is oh-so-sweet!!!
Simple & Sweet, that is! ;)

I hope I have inspired you to get creating with this collection too!
Thanks so much for visiting,

Pinkfresh Studio: A Case of the Blahs Layouts!

Hi Friends!

I am so excited to be sharing a closer look at the super fun Pinkfresh Studio:
A Case of the Blahs collection!
This collection is essentially for documenting everyday life - the good, the ok, and even the ugly! Hence the blahs!!! LOL! So much fun!
Ever wanted to get to know me better?
One of my new year intentions was to share & create more about my own stories - not just my beautiful children. The coffee references in this line were ideal for my coffee additcted, not so perfect, totally awkward self!
So be kind, as I share a selfie & a closer look into the 'real life' me....

"Life Begins After Coffee: This Is Me"

Yes, this IS me!
---->I heart black & white stripes!
-------> I love big shades to hide under
-------> I am so super boring
(I choose PJs and a family time over just about everything!)
------> I am totally annoying - OCD when it comes to cleaning, can't eat out because of all my allergies/intolerances and I *may* have perfectionist tendencies.... I even annoy myself!
------> I have a HUGE love of coffee
Infact, it would be safe to say that my daily mantra is:
First the coffee, & then the things!
And despite my honesty, & outright awkwardness, how cool is this page?
I have a thing for blue - so it made sense that my layout featured my favourite color! I used the reverse side of patterned paper, OOPS! as my base, and layered it with white cardstock. I used the 6 x 6 PAPER PAD papers to back my coffee mug cut files (yes, there's even a blue coffee mug or 5 in my home),  & you'll even spy a few fussy cuts from pattern paper MESSY.
Actually, given that we're being honest here, my OCD did not allow me to fussy cut that circle Life's Hard Coffee Helps - I used a punch. Ha! Told you I am totally annoying! Perhaps that's quite enough about lil old me.....
Back to my layout, I couldn't resist decorating my travel mugs - the FABRIC DIE CUTS are such a perfect adornment, as are the EPHEMERA tags!!!

There's a smattering of ENAMEL DOTS throughout my layout, because I love to throw around a lil confetti! And because, well, I heart all the pretty things in life!
Travelling up & along the flow of my design, you'll spy the MESSY pattern squares, and some fun - real me - sentiments....

How fantastic are the PUFFY STICKERS?!!!
I truly am Perfectly Imperfect too! More flawsome, & less awesome than I'd like to acknowledge, LOL! Needless to say, the PUFFY STICKER at the top of my page is the perfect finishing touch - Awkward!!! (yes, much!)
Let's take one last look at those fabulous mugs....

Feeling all the feelings - thank goodness for coffee!!!
And that's about as raw, and honest as you'll get to the real me!
Now for something totally different!
I wanted to showcase the versatility of this amazing line - with a nursery page!
Yes, you read correctly! A Case of the Blahs isn't limited to just blahhhing about!

Here's my second layout,
"Hush-a-bye"

Isn't this just darling?!
Our newest nephew is the bees knees in our family, & I just had to create another page for his album! This is really delicate & I just adore the doubled up CHIPBOARD STICKERS frames! The frames really bring emphasis to that sweet sleeping cherub!
And how about those sleep sentiments?! Snooze, Good At Naps... just perfect for this content bubba!
Like my previous layout, I used the 6 x 6 PAPER PAD for backing my cut file. These pads are just ideal for this type of crafting - saves wasting whole sheets of 12 inch papers! (& they're also handy for pocket pages and cardmaking too!)
You'll also spy pattern paper AWKWARD to the left of my design, I love that striped trim at the base of the paper. I rotated mine so it anchors my cut file heart! So cool!
Speaking of cool, how about the PUFFY ALPHA STICKERS?!!!

Seriously awesome alphas!!! So bold, & super striking!
And yes, more ENAMEL DOTS for good measure! I can never have too many!

Cute EPHEMERA pieces are tucked beneath my CHIPBOARD STICKER frames, adding interest to my photo cluster.
Here's a closer look for you....

So super sweet! Love everything about this!
And there you have it, two very different looks with the awesome A Case of the Blahs collection! I hope I have inspired you to get creating with this collection!

Pinkfresh Studio: Escaping The Ordinary with Subtle Stamping Techniques!

Hello Friends!

Welcome back for more paper delights!
I am so excited about my DT assignments for Pinkfresh Studio this month!
October is all about stamps!
Stamps?!! On a clean and contemporary page?!!
Yes, mixed media doesn't need to be messy, infact it can be so super pretty if applied subtly!
All the stamps in the Pinkfresh Studio collections are just stunning, and the Escape The Ordinary set is an absolute new favourite of mine!

So without further ado, here's two Escape The Ordinary layouts with very subtle stamping techniques. I do hope they inspire you!

First up is this super delicate page of my sweet girl,
"On My Heart"

Isn't this just divine?!! Something beautiful, indeed!
I've drawn on the pretty blues & greens in my photograph, as well as been inspired by the sentiments and stars in the Escape The Ordinary Stamp Set. So pretty!

My 12 x 12" layout starts with that gorgeous green wash paper, DARE, and is then mounted with pattern paper, EXPLORE that has been trimmed to 11 x 11". As I only wanted to feature the green and blue elements of this paper, I arranged my photo cluster, LAYERED TAG and EPHEMERA to 'cover up' the red and yellow triangles, leaving me with a very cool, and gentle background for my layout. Perfect!

For my photo cluster, I layered lots of coordinating pattern papers from the 6 x 6 PAPER PAD, and tied it all together with that super sweet DIE CUT FABRIC PIECE On My Heart.
I absolutely love the soft texture and interest that the fabric pieces add to your projects!

But today is all about the stamping, so let's take a closer look at how I've incorporated those awesome stamps into this girly page....

Oh aren't they pretty?!

Subtle stamping on your layouts can reallly add that extra finishing touch! I really wanted to keep mine soft and delicate to compliment my sweet photo.  I also wanted to coordinate with the pretty background paper, so I went with white embossing powder. Every star, & every sentiment, has been heat embossed in white to keep with this delicate style.
Subtle, but very much an integral element to the design.
I especially love the sentiments - they work perfectly with the hidden journalling I've included for my daughter.
This is her journey, it isn't always easy - embrace those detours, and remember something beautiful is always about to unfold. Love it! Such a wonderful and empowering message to my pre teen!

Here's another view ....

Just gorgeous!

Lots of other pretty embellishments adorn this page, including those fabulous PUFFY STICKERS! Aren't they something?!! The mountain triangles, and stars in both stickers and gold foil EPHEMERA really add that finishing touch to the page. Love it!
I hope you adored this delicate, subtle stamped layout!

My second layout really celebrates the season of Fall, as well as embracing the beauty of life and documenting the everyday story,

"Something Beautiful"

Something beautiful - Yessss!

How darling is that photograph of my precious two?! I love that this collection not only celebrates the season, but is also repsectful of it too! Classy and yet so contemporary!
Like my previous layout, I have really drawn on the colours in my photograph. I have also been very inspired by the Fall theme.

My page begins with the stunning TRANSFORM patterned paper, and is then layered with the reverse side of DARE, as well as a layer of white cardstock. I have cut the 'Something Beautiful Is On The Horizon' trim from pattern paper, SEARCH, and used it as a band to combine all the layers as one. I love how it brings unity to the page design!

The remainder of the design is a simple vertical flow pattern, that is supported by those gorgeous stamped leaves.
Let's take a better look at this....

Nothing says Fall more than falling leaves!
The leaf stamp in the Escape The Ordinary set was perfect for this layout!

To keep with the 'clean' mixed media look, I don't stamp directly onto my layout.
On a scrap piece of white cardstock, I repeat stamped the leaf in Staz-On black ink.
Once dry, I handpainted the leaves in gold and lime tones from my Shimmerz Paints stash.
The leaves were then fussy cut and rearranged to best fit the page design. This meant I could control the stamping, and keep my page mess free!
Another really subtle stamping technique with such a stunning result!
The stamped leaves are supported with DIE CUT leaves, and even some cute PUFFY STICKERS to add that extra wow!

SO beautiful!
Nothing ordinary going on here at all!

I really hope that my scrapbook pages have inspired you to get creating with Escape the Ordinary, and moreso, to jump in and use those stamps too!
Clean mixed media is a thing now ;) Yay!!!
Happy creating!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Blog Hop Order:
Here's my layout for you....

"Boys Rule"

Isn't this fun and fabulous?!!
I love this cool lil guy and it's so awesome to have a great masculine line to scrapbook his stories & photos with!
I have used patterned paper TOUGH on one half of my layout, and given it some edge with double coloured zig zag stitching to make it appear even more msculine! A light layer of watercolours adorns the other half of my page, really allowing for TOUGH to be a strong design feature, and hero of the page.
My sweet boy photo is backed with 6 x 6 PAPER PACK papers, and a thick layer of cardboard for extra dimension.

The rest of this layout is all about playing with embellishments!
And boy oh boy, are these new embellies fun!
I la la LOVE the new FABRIC PENNANTS, & mounted mine on skewers to create the appearance of flags that help to frame my photo!
I'm also loving the wooden elements too!
The WOOD BUTTON STICKERS are super cool, and are a much bolder alternative to sequins or enamel dots, but it's the SCREEN PRINTED WOOD STICKERS that are my new faves!!!
Rad & Awesome indeed!!!
And how about those CHIPBOARD ALPHA STICKERS?!!
The mismatched font size, and grey hue make these perfect for scrapping the boys with!

Boys Fort is definitely a collection for the strong, bold and rad men in our lives
& compliments all those masculine moments!

Hope my layout has inspired you today!
Please remember to leave a comment to be eligible for the prize.

Time to send you hopping on to the incredibly inspiring Ashley Horton's blog here!
