Hip Kit Club: July 2020 Hip Kits - Card Trio

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for some Hip Kit Club July 2020 Kits inspiration!
Today I am sharing a super sweet card trio with the stunning July 2020 Main & Embellishment Kits! My DT assignment was to create cards that included stamping, stitching & fussy cutting, yay! So.much.fun! I love to get a lil inky & couldn't resist focusing on the
This stamp set is so versatile and perfect for all kinds of crafty projects, but enough chatter, here's what I came up with......

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-Aug22nd-Blog-01

Oh my heart! Could they get any sweeter?!! And talk about focusing on the Bring on the Sunshine stamp - wow! That tiny lil stamp has made a very big debut on this card trio! Creating your own custom pattern papers from stamps is such a fun, easy & effective technique to incorporate more stamping into your creating.
To keep my cards looking like a coordinating set I maintained a similar design & focal point. Each card features a foam mounted, stamped & machine stitched background with a dominant Crate Paper: Maggie Holmes Sweet Story Delights Dimensional Embellishment (rosette) in the bottom left hand side. I embellished each card with a Simple Stories: Kate&Ash Chipboard Sticker. For the fussy cutting element, I used florals from the Pebbles: Jen Hadfield Hey Hello: Happy Day paper on each card too! Other than these key design elements, each card has it's own unique look and feel. Let's take a closer look...

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-Aug22nd-Blog-02

Sigh! Sooooo pretty! Shades of pink with mint & teal is a favorite color scheme of mine, and I  just had to use them for these sweet cards! I selected larger blooms from the fussy cut Happy Day paper, as well as some of the Echo Park Paper: Dive Into Summer Enamel Dotsto adorn these cards. Here's a close up view of them...

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-Aug22nd-Blog-03

So sweet!
To create the card base, I trimmed the Pink Paislee: Any Many More paper #11to 8" x 6", and scored down the 4" mark to create a 4" x 6" card. On a 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" sheet of smooth white cardstock, I repeat stamped the camera icon in mint colored stamping ink & machine stitched around the edges. I foam mounted this pretty camera cardstock onto my card base to create some extra dimension and interest. I glued the large fussy cut bloom into place, and then layered the Sweet Story rosette in the left hand corner. The Kate&Ash Chipboard Stickerswere the perfect addition for my card sentiments, and the soft pink Enamel Dots completed the card. Simple, but oh-so-lovely!

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-Aug22nd-Blog-04

I used the same approach for this darling card, only this time I used the B side of the gorgeous Dear Lizzy: Here & Now Hot, Hot, Hot paper for the base. I repeat stamped the picture perfect stamp in black ink, and added a few different embellishments. You'll spot the Pink Paislee: 5th & Monaco Mixed Embellishment sequins, as well as one of theSweet Story Sticker Book stickers - both from the July 2020 Embellishment Kit. So cool!

HKC-AmandaBaldwin-Aug22nd-Blog-05

This card is actually my favorite from the trio - the rich, warm yellow stamped background makes me feel so happy! That Sun Shine stamp is errrrything!!! I used the same design principles as my two previous cards, but this time I opted for tiny fussy cut florals, with a larger Chipboard Sticker bloom instead. The Sweet Story butterfly sticker is a cute addition to this bright & happy card. Love it!

Paper Issues: September Notable Quotable

Hi Lovelies!

Welcome back for more Paper Issues fun with the September edition of

Always such a fun challenge, & this month's quote is really sweet!

We LOVE books in our home, so this quote is perfect inspiration for my memory keeping albums!
Here's what I have created,

"Good Book"

Isn't this fun?!!
I have used the Pink Paislee, Paige Taylor Evan's Oh My Heart collection, as I had that cute book paper still in my stash just waiting to be used! As you can see, I fussy cut all the books, and have created a double circle design with them.
I repeat stitched the books into place, and layered the inner circle with my photo cluster.
And seriously, how cute is my Mister A for awesome?
He had been playing a little too quiet,
so I snuck up on him expecting to find trouble - only to discover that he was sitting on our bed reading Charlie & Lola books!
So adorable that I had to snap the moment!

Here's a few close ups for you.....

The chipboard stickers in this line are super sweet, and I just had to embellish my layout with them. Loving those reading glasses especially!
And how about that sentiment sticker, all you need is a good book! Perfection!

So awesome!
I should add that the cute puffy hearts,
and that mini bow on the fox tail

So super cute!!!

Blog Hop Order:
Here's my layout for you....

"Boys Rule"

Isn't this fun and fabulous?!!
I love this cool lil guy and it's so awesome to have a great masculine line to scrapbook his stories & photos with!
I have used patterned paper TOUGH on one half of my layout, and given it some edge with double coloured zig zag stitching to make it appear even more msculine! A light layer of watercolours adorns the other half of my page, really allowing for TOUGH to be a strong design feature, and hero of the page.
My sweet boy photo is backed with 6 x 6 PAPER PACK papers, and a thick layer of cardboard for extra dimension.

The rest of this layout is all about playing with embellishments!
And boy oh boy, are these new embellies fun!
I la la LOVE the new FABRIC PENNANTS, & mounted mine on skewers to create the appearance of flags that help to frame my photo!
I'm also loving the wooden elements too!
The WOOD BUTTON STICKERS are super cool, and are a much bolder alternative to sequins or enamel dots, but it's the SCREEN PRINTED WOOD STICKERS that are my new faves!!!
Rad & Awesome indeed!!!
And how about those CHIPBOARD ALPHA STICKERS?!!
The mismatched font size, and grey hue make these perfect for scrapping the boys with!

Boys Fort is definitely a collection for the strong, bold and rad men in our lives
& compliments all those masculine moments!

Hope my layout has inspired you today!
Please remember to leave a comment to be eligible for the prize.

Time to send you hopping on to the incredibly inspiring Ashley Horton's blog here!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Happy Little Moments!

Hi Creative Friends!
I have a super sweet layout using the gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Make A Wish Collection to share with you today !
I just love the bright and happy hues in the Make A Wish line, and it was perfect for scrapping this pic of my daughter and I! But enough chatter, here's my layout,
"Happy Little Moments"
img_20161228_100044_803
How sweet is this?!!
It may be a birthday themed collection, but Make A Wish is so pretty, and versatile, that it works for the everyday moments too!
I just love a fun grid design, don't you? To add a bit more interest to mine, I used a lil mixed media and a whole bunch of fun embellishments!
Each patterned paper box has the sweet pink watercolour wash paper CV-MW002 HIP HOORAY as its base, and then either the woodgrain paper (reverse side of CV-MW001 FRESH CUT) or the pink polka dots (reverse side of CV-MW005 PARTY MIX). Such a pretty combination of papers! The white cardstock has been treated with a coat of gesso, & given a good smattering of shimmer mist and watercolour splats! Love the result! All the colours coordinate perfectly with that final backing layer, patterned paper     CV-MW003 PARTY DOTS
Let's take a closer look.....
img_20161228_100435_405
With the same pink watercolour wash as the patterned paper, that Chipboard Accent Sticker frame was an obvious choice for highlighting my photograph. I've also embellished the frame with another chipboard accent sticker with the sentiment 'Oh Hello"  - super cute!img_20161228_115551_529

I've layered my photo and frame with some cut file leaves from the Colour Me Happy Digital Cutfile collection, and then added Vellum Shapes leaves & butterflies, BloomsEnamel Dots and even some cotton thread for texture. The centrality of it all just draws you into my photo more - love it!
Here's another view (of the blooms in particular because they're sooooooo pretty!),
img_20161228_114628_010
Some gorgeous glittery Sparkles enamel dots and Oooooh that heart flair!
The flair is actually from the limited edition sets CV-LIM-1  There's only a few of these left in the store, so get in quick!!!
Lots of gorgeous Die Cut Ephemera pieces on this layout too.....

So many paper pretties! La-la-LOVE it all!
Even the Accessory Stickers are divine!
I mounted mine onto pop dots , and layered with a little cotton thread too - so very cool!
img_20161228_115657_000
And those vellum shapes! Oh-so-swoon worthy!!!
It's all just soooooooo pretty! Make A Wish is just perfect for scrapping a Mother & Daughter page ;)
Hope you feel inspired by my layout today,
