Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Super Hey Yeah!

Hi Creatives!

Boy-oh-boy am I in LOOOOOVE with the all new Cocoa Vanilla Studio: TOTALLY RAD collection!

And here's why.....

Yep. It's the coolest of COOL for our lil and not-so-little guys! Literally, Super hey yeah!

So many striking pattern papers and ultra cool embellies for this collection - it's just AWESOME!

Let's take a closer look....

I know, where to start?! So much scrap-happy yumminess here!

Lots of fun layers to this page, I've used SAY WHAT as the base, and layered that stunning LINE UP over it (11" x 11") and stitched it into place.

I've also layered the STELLAR, SAY WHAT, HAPPY SNAPS & MIX TAPE papers together as well as a couple cute DIE CUT EPHEMERA frames and ACCESSORY STICKERS to matte my photo with. SO cool!!!

But it's those awesome embellishments which really add that finishing touch....

Seriously, could that FLAIR BUTTON be anymore perfect against the HAPPY SNAPS paper?!! Love it!

And those WOODIES are just aaahhhmazing to play with - I think they are my favourite embellishments!

And I can't forget to mention those cute WOOD VENEER - super fun and I love that some of the pieces are printed too! Just check out that AWESOME banner veneer! As the subtitle suggests, THIS ROCKS!

Yep. It is very safe to say that TOTALLY RAD is knocking the ball outta the park with this uber cool boy collection!

I recently added up all the layouts I've created with this collection and I'm up to 17 and still not finished! This is definitely a full boy album collection plus maybe a few extra projects too....LOL! I can't help myself, it's just too awesome!

Oh Hey Baby!

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Welcome back for more creative inspiration!

Today I am sharing this beautiful baby boy page featuring two of my favourite embellishment companies - Imaginarium Designs chipboard & Studio 1440.

I know, how darling is he?! Such a sweet bubby boy!

And how delicate and pretty is the page too?

The chipboard is just stunning, huh?!! That heart gets me everytime! I chose to emboss mine in white gloss; same as my gorgeous title 'Little Treasure'. The results speak for themselves!

But, I also used lots of Studio Fourteen40 yummies & that's what I'd like to share with you today!

Starting with THOSE flair....

Aren't they just so Awesome!

They form part of the Oh Baby collection and are just perfect for all our baby albums! I love the sweet designs; I've used two flair from the set - but they also come in lemon & baby pink too! Love it!

But it isn't just pretty flair on this lovely layout; check out the file tabs and cutz too....

And let's not forget those baby blue "Use Your Words" strips!

I used mine as an alternative to a washi tape trim on the top and bottom of my layout - so cute! The words are the sweetest and work perfectly for all our baby memories! Studio 1440: Be Mine

Hi Creatives!

Boy oh boy, do I have a super fun layout to share with you today!

I have been just itching to get some 'free' creative time to play with the stunning NEW

Studio Fourteen40 Be Mine collection.

It's so pretty and it partners perfectly with Crate Paper's Hello, LOVE collection too!

Here's what I came up with....

"LOVE"

Okay, so it isn't a romantic 'Be Mine' layout - but let me tell you, this lil guy lights up my life and I love him to no end!

(& it's such a great pic of us hanging out together that I just had to scrap it, lol!)

I've featured lots of really cool Studio Fourteen40 products here too - let's take a closer look...

I know, where do I start?!!

How about with those super cool Use Your Words - Be Mine words? These guys are literally 'the bomb'! I love being able to transform my pages with cool text and sayings. These ones are just perfect for our 'loved-up' moments. I have layered mine on stickers, and on those wood veneer multi chevrons. I doubled the chevrons up to create a base for the Be Mine Words to rest on. Kind of a cool look, I think!

Yep. Love it! The chevrons are so on trend and work so well with the geo-pattern paper.

Speaking of cool wood veneers, check out those hearts! Yes, they are a firm fave of mine - but when they're this awesome they're too easy to use.

And as for favourites, well there has to be a fabulous flair, of course! Check this one out....

I've used the first button in the Be Mine Set 3

The triangle pattern and colours coordinate beautifully with the pattern paper, and the flair holds those sweet Be Mine Labels , and wood veneer chevron in place. Everything in its place - just how I like it! Clean, fun, fresh and contemporary scrapping! Be Mine is definitely after my heart ;)

I am super-dee-duper excited to share that I was invited to be a Guest Designer this month for

for their 'deluxe' Cropaholic Kit.

This Kit is Aaaahhhmazing and features the Fancy Pants Designs: Happy Place collection. You'll also spy a lil of my favourite Cocoa Vanilla Studio & Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals ;)

Truly so fun, contemporary & bright - perfect for my style of memory keeping!

My task was to create 3 layouts from the kit

& include step-by-step photos & instructions for kitclub members to recreate them.

I know, what a great opportunity?!! How could I resist?

Needless to say, I had a ton of fun!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Remember This...

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Welcome back for more Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Free Spirit inspiration!

I am totally loving this super pretty & feminine collection - just so divine!

But rather than rave on,

please take another look at why Free Spirit is an absolute MUST HAVE for scrapping the girls with!

Love how the all the elements in this page coordinate so perfectly, and really showcase my beautiful photograph!

That patterned paper with the gold glitter through it is simply exquisite - take a closer look....

That stunning paper is...

CV-FS001 WILDFLOWERS

& I have featured both sides; using the reverse as a highlighter pattern. Very cool!

I don't know how Zoe achieved the realsitic gold glitter look without having glitter actually stuck on the page - but my goodness, this paper is a real hero in the collection!

Another of my favourite items in Free Spirit are those sweet as Fancy Buttons!

That deer button is totally ADORBS!!! & the other two buttons compliment it perfectly!

But the whole packet is divine....

Yup. Gotta love me some of those! Here's another view, also showcasing those pretty blooms, gorgeous ephemera and an enamel shape or two.....

It's just oh-so-pretty, isn't it?!

Free Spirit really is heavenly for for our little princesses! Even the wood veneers and journal cards are soft and elegant....

So truly wonderful for capturing our pretty memories!

I cannot begin to describe just how easy it is to create beautiful, pretty pages with Free Spirit - just so perfect for the special girls and women in our lives!

A lil more of moody March ;)

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing a lil more about my layout that I created from the gorgeous
Scrap The Boys:

March Moodboard!

I know, it's just divine isn't it?!!

I immediately fell in love with the colours and knew they would form the feature of my layout,

"Awesome Takes Practice"

I know - he really is too awesome for words!

And that background, well I did say I was drawn in by the colours!

I've used Kaisercraft's fabulous Kaisermists in Red, Turquoise, & Denim, as well as a fine point black sharpie pen to create this fun background. I always intended to use the

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Made Of Awesome collection - not only is it the perfect 'go-to' collection for scrapping our boys, but the balance of black and white works so well with the pop colours in the board.

Combine the colours, the cool patterned paper and then those fabulous coordinating embellishments (again, all from the Made Of Awesome collection) & it was always going to be a fun page!

Let's talk techniques....

Layering is fundamental to this layouts success.

I started by trimming my white cardstock to 11" x 11" and layering it over that super cool LUCKY STAR pattern paper .

I then used the black sharpie pen to scribble a rough outline border, & drew on the wavy lines to guide my ink work.

How did I achieve that cool inky background?

Well.... I'd like to say it's some fancy pants technique, but the truth is I simply dipped my paintbrush into the Kaisermists and painted the wavy pattern on. Starting with the red first - because it's so dominant, then the turquoise, & finally with a finer tip brush, the denim ink. I also allowed each colour to completely dry before adding the next one.

Finally, I splattered the Kaisermists in my negative space. Easy peasy! ;)

As the mood board also featured some fantastic textiles, and those awesome vintage cameras, I decided to incorporate these elements into my embellishing....

The natural burlap and turquoise tulle were just scraps from my material box. I think they really added texture and dimension to the layering of my photograph. Love it!

The camera ticket, enamel little stars and ephemera coordinated perfectly too, but it's that

LUCKY CHARMS CAMERA that brings the layout together. The ultimate finishing touch.

A few staples, and that incredible DIE CUT EPHEMERA title complete my page.

And there you have it!

My take on the March Mood Board & a quick review of how I created my layout.

Kaisercraft March Creations: Lotsa Layouts!

Hi Everyone!

Earlier this year I made a commitment to get behind the camera a lil more - so here's a selfie page of me & Mr A for Awesome!

And yes, I do totally LOVE this!

The heart die from the Cute Tags (die and stamp set) is super cool and coordinates beautifully with this collection.

Bright, happy, life is good moments celebrated!

I know, how fantastically contemporary, bright & fun is Finders Keepers?!!

I think it is safe to say that this has become my most loved collection of ALL TIME! Yes, the best of the Best!

Studio Fourteen40: Embellishment Love!

Hi Everyone!

Welcome back for a lil Studio Fourteen40 inspiration!

I am always so excited by the array of awesome embellishments that Sandra has in the store. From flair, to paper pins, wood veneers and everything in between, Studio Fourteen40 has got you covered! Infact, I believe the products and designs are so good that they can create a page without much effort - or even any patterned paper!

Here's what I'm meaning;

"Hello, Your Smiles Looks......"

Isn't this soooooooooo pretty?!! Love my darling girl & her beautiful smile!

& this layout captures her perfectly!

Apart from the cardstock that this layout is mounted on, it is completely paper free! Yes, it's made entirely from pretty embellishments!

There's the Lovely collection Simply Stated File Tabs, Lovely collection Flair,& those super cute Wood Veneer Hearts

Let's take a closer look.....

The Lovely collection is a definite favourite of mine when it comes to soft, feminine pages like this one! The washy watercolour finishes are just too pretty for words! I mean, how sweet is that watercolour green polka dot, flair?!

Love it! I also added a similar patterned brad to my layout to further enhance the pattern and colour in the layout too.

Here's a better view of the Lovely: Simply Stated: File Tabs, & the other Lovely flair button that I featured....

Gosh! Even the font type is darling, and continues with the brushed paint feel!

The washy pink and green tones are a perfect match for my photo, but they also work well because they are really soft and delicate! Ideal for scrapping our girls with! :)

And when it comes to scattered embellishments,

the tiny wood veneer hearts are a divine finishing touch!

Evidence that beautiful scrapbooking does not need to be expenisve or even require tons of papers -

Super pretty memory keeping is so easy with Studio Fourteen40!
