Paper Issues: October Mix It Up Monday

Hi Friends!

Time to get your messy on with Paper Issues: Mix It Up Monday!
The October challenge is to use a stencil.
Yep. that's all! I know, it totally leaves the creative door wide open....
Love how fun stencils & templates are! So many different ways to apply them to your projects!

Here's what I came up with...
"BLOOM"

Isn't this pretty?!!
A really delicate and elegant mixed media page.
I've used Fancy Pants Designs: Life Is Beautiful collection
and teamed it up with a Donna Downey peonies stencil (from my stash).
I combined Lindy's Stamp Gang Magical's in Salt Water Taffy with some gel medium, and applied it to the stencil using a palette knife. Love the result!
So delicate, & it works perfectly with Life Is Beautiful!
Here's a closer look at that stenciling....

Love the shimmer of the Magical and the high sheen of the gel medium - so glossy!

Those puffy stickers & that flair!!! Love me some Fancy Pants!

The sheen is just divine, huh?!

How stunning is that floral pattern paper?!!
Incase you want to order, it's called Save The Date ;)

Super cute ephemera too!
Love it all!!!

Paper Issues: October Pinspire Me

Hi Creative Friends!

Welcome back for this month's Pinspire Me challenge with Paper Issues!
October's board looks like this....

Spook-tacular!
Happy Haunting indeed!
But as you know, I am an Aussie & we don't really celebrate Halloween -
so my take draws on the colours and textures featured instead.
Lots of hot pink, yellow, & blue, plus that divine weatherboard texture!
But enough chatting, here it is,

"LOVE"

How stunning is this?!!
Not very spooky, but definitely a beautiful interpretation of the Pinspire Me board!
I have been stash busting my Crate Paper favourites for this layout.
You'll spy Style Board, Open Book, Confetti, & even some Craft Market.
I've also added in a Cocoa Vanilla Studio flair button, some sequins & that gorgeous blue watercolour ink!
Super pretty!
Let's take a closer look.....

That cluster is just divine!
Oh, & incase you're wondering, the Cocoa Vanilla flair is from the Love Always collection ;)

That fabulous title is created from Craft Market's Chipboard Stickers.

The woodgrain frame is a perfect match with the base paper, and I just love all those pretty embellishments!
Wow!
Who would've thought that Halloween could be so pretty?! Love it!

Paper Issues: October Pawsitively Pets

Hi Creative Friends (& animal lovers)!

It's time for our new monthly pets challenge over at Paper Issues!
This month the challenge is to scrap either a pet or animal photograph and
use 2 different fonts in the title.
Too easy!
Here's mine....

"Hooray Giraffe"

Love this!
As you can see, I went with a recent zoo memory where Mr A for Awesome got to feed his favourite animal - the giraffe!
I've used the very striking & bold, Amy Tangerine: Oh Happy Day! collection for this layout.
The giraffe pattern paper was perfect for my layout. Not only does it have giraffes, but it also has a lot of red (Mister A's favourite colour!)  Winning!!!
Here's a few close ups.....

Awesome!
My title is created from two different Amy Tangerine Thicker sets: Hooray is from the Better Together phrase set, & Giraffe is from Oh Happy Day! Thickers.
I've also added a few accent words, & a subtitle, with the Oh Happy Day! clear stickers. Super!

A few layers of Oh Happy Days papers beneath my photo too!
So much Happy going on here! So glad I've scrapped this wonderful moment!
*Note: Those stunning gold glitter dots are Sparkles-Enamel Dots from Cocoa Vanilla Studio:
Make A Wish collection
& the sequins and thread are from my stash*

And there you have it!

Paper Issues: Product Spotlight: Pink Paislee - Take Me Away

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

It's time for another Paper Issues Product Spotlight & today we're showcasing the super gorgeous; Pink Paislee's (Paige Taylor Evans designed) Take Me Away collection!

Think pretty pastels and florals, meets bold, bright rainbow patterns - so FUN!!!

Here's my latest layout with this delightful burst of colour,

"PRETTY"

Love this! That title is completely spot on, she's so PRETTY!
Adore this girl!
This was a very special moment we were celebrating too - she had just been presented an award for her artwork, which was on exhibition at the Art Gallery of South Australia!
(I know, awesome achievement for someone who's only 10!)
Anyways, with that milestone in mind, the journal card,
"The best dreams happen while you are awake" seemed a perfect match!
The rest of her special story is documented in a private letter which I have attached to the back of this layout. I like to keep somethings special and private, just for us!
But I can share some close ups with you....

How fabulous are the colouful Thickers in this collection?! Super fun!

I  have also used the Thicker Accessory stickers, Wooden Shapes, Buttons & Decorative Pins in this collection - sweet embellies for any scrapbook page!!!

Take Me Away is definitely prettiness overload!

I hope you liked this layout!

Paper Issues: October Take 5 Tuesday

Hi Friends!

A new month means a new Take 5 challenge at Paper Issues
and this month's is super fun!
Here's the list to select your 5 from....

I know, so many great options here!
This month I really wanted to create outside my comfort zone and do something different;
here's what I came up with....

"Loving this Life"

Love this! It kinda makes me feel like folk art meets pop culture, lol!
Super striking and fun!!!
From the Take 5 list, I have used green, white, cardstock, an arrow, leaves & mixed media (gelatos and markers).
That gorgeous Specialty Paper is from Amy Tangerine: Oh Happy Day, it's like an enormous background cut file & is just stunning!
Let's take a closer look...

To make the cut words 'pop' more, I outlined the letters in black pen & then blended a little Gelatos over them too!

You'll spy a few cute clear stickers on this layouts too - they're also from Oh Happy Day! Too cute!

And those fussy cut flowers are also from this Amy Tangerine collection!

I used markers to colour some of my leaves - love the result!

Definitely outta my comfort zone & a little pretty too!
Thanks for taking a peak!

Here's my layout,

"Fun Adventure"

Gorgeous, huh?!
Love my boy!
& climbing trees is where he's at!
I have used the stunning new Shimelle: Go Now Go collection to create this warm, Fall & Woodlands kinda page.
Just look at those pattern papers!!! The woodgrain is perfection! LOVE!
And those rose gold glitter thickers?!!! Swoooooooon!
There's more awesome embellishments in this collection too - let's take a lil look....

The wooden buttons are the sweetest and the ephemera is super cute too!
