With  the formalities taken care of,
here are my creations with these gorgeous new products!

First up is this pretty page,

"Love This Life"

Oooh! Isn't this pretty?!!

Here's a better look for you....

That Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape is all kinds of awesomeness!!!
For this layout, I use it to completely cover my white 12" cardstock base, creating my own beautiful pattern paper base. LOVE!

With a busy pattern paper base, I simply fussy cut Autumn color blooms from the Alluring Blooms
6 x 6 Paper Pack to support and embellish my darling photo.
You'll also spy a couple of my fave Live Your Dream collection Chipboard Stickers!
But it's that washi tape background that wins my heart!
It's so stunning you can't even tell it's tape!
Just look at those intricate blooms!

So divine!

Next up is this stunner,

"You Are So Special"

Whoa!!!
This.is.GOR-jus!!!

Let's take a closer view....

That Teal Shadow Washi Tape is simply mesmerizing!!!
So.very.beautiful!
Like my previous layout, I apply the washi tape to create the illusion of pattern paper.
I also apply the Teal Shadow Washi Tape, and the Botanical Rhapsody Washi Tape to smooth white cardstock and then fussy cut out all the leaves and floral blooms. I love fussy cutting, and by using the washi tapes this way, you're able to create your own die cut ephemera. So clever & oh so pretty!
And speaking of fussy cutting, I spy a gorgeous floral wreath framing my sweet photo! It's been cut from the beautiful new Summer Garden 6 x 6 Paper Pack.

And I must make mention of the ahh-may-zing new Embossing Paste from Altenew!
I've used many pastes in my life, but none like this!
It was like applying a whipped mousse to my stencil - even smoother and lighter than butter!
And as for the result? Well, it speaks for itself!
Those butterflies are perfection!
I applied the Embossing Paste with a palette knife & the Flowing Butterfly Stencil. Love it!

Absolutely gorgeous!

Next up, is a more masculine approach to using these new products....

"Oh BOY!"

Oh boy, indeed! Such a cool kiddo!

Here's a better view....

This is SO awesome!
The Misty Meadows Washi Tape is really something -
it even has gold foiling throughout it's pattern!
To draw attention to that 'golden' highlight, I also trim it with the Gold Trim Washi Tape. So effective!
But it's that Embossing Paste that is really wowing me!
I used a liquid ink to hand color the paste on a mixing palette, and applied it with a palette knife. The stencil featured is called Leaf Burst and showcases that Embossing Paste beautifully!

That paste is so easy to apply and gives such a high end finish - I am SO impressed!
Here's another look at it...

SO good!

And last, but by no means least, is this pretty page....

"Remember That Day"

Altenew does it again!
All the pretty things for all our memory keeping whims!

It's no secret that I love a good floral wreath design, and this is no exception!
Just look at those fussy cut blooms!

Sigh! So very pretty!
I am loving the contrast between the sweet florals and the very contemporary Gold String Washi Tape! So striking!

It's hard to believe it's washi tape, isn't it?! SO good!

How sweet it that butterfly embellishment tucked beneath my darling photo?!
It's created from tinted Embossing Paste and the Flowing Butterfly Stencil - I simply fussy cut it out once dry. Cute!

And there you have it!
I hope my layouts have inspired you to get creating with all these fabulous Altenew products!
I can't recommend them enough!

Paper Issues: August Try It Tuesday

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to a new month of paper crafting awesomeness with Paper Issues!

Today I am kicking off the August challenges with this month's edition of Try It Tuesday!

& let me say,
I have been so impressed with all the entries we've been receiving for this challenge!
So fabulous to see everyone having a go!

Try It Tuesday is all about taking risks and trying something new - or just different - in your creating, & this month's challenge is super fun!

TAPE IT UP!

Yep, this month I want you to use masking tape, washi tape, cello tape, as long as it's a tape, I wanna see it on your projects (layouts, cards, pocket pages, off the page items) in a new and inventive way!
Think creating textures, masks, patterns and even your own embellishments from tape!

Here's my sample for you.....

"Little Explorer"

Nawww! Isn't he the cutest?! Love my lil explorer!
And how about that textural, washi tape star?!!
I've used the super fun Crate Paper Cool Kid collection and teamed it up with the Fancy Pants Designs: Sweet Nothings collection washi tape
(The designs just happen to be a perfect a match!)
Today is all about the tape though, so let's take a closer look at it.....

To create a more textural appearance, I've scrunched, wrinkled and folded my tape in sections to create an uneven and interesting shape. The star is then stapled into place and embellished with cotton floss and veneer stars. Love it!!!

Such a cool way to use tape!

Hope my layout has inspired you to play along!

Now it's your turn,

Create a new project featuring tape and upload it to the
Paper Issues Friends and Fans Facebook group
to go in the draw to win a Paper Issues gift card! Yay!

Paper Issues: New Issue: Round 1: Mom-o-grams

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

It's a new month & that means it's

New Issue Monday

at

This month's issue is: Mom-o-grams
Suggested ideas: create an altered paper project, use letters in a fun way, add a monogram, anything about Mother’s Day or Grandmothers

Here's what I created,

"LOVE being your mum"

Isn't this the sweetest?!
How things have changed too!
No more imaginative play, but snapchat filter fun instead! LOL!
She's growing up sooooooo fast!
Another great reason to scrap this moment and remind Miss M how much I really do LOVE being her mum! So thankful, & so very blessed!!!

I have stashbusted Crate Paper's Heart Day collection for this layout, as well as a couple of washi tapes from the Heidi Swapp Magnolia Jane line. So pretty!
Here's a few close ups....

Oh that fringing! Love those cute heart stickers too!!!

The chipboard stickers, (especially that LOVE banner) are just stunning!!!
Those tiny gold alpha stickers are from the Maggie Holmes Gather collection, and coordinate perfectly with Heart Day!
Here's another look at those sweet chippies.....

That fairy floss is the cutest!!!

That banner title really is glitter heaven! La la love it!

And there you have it!

Paper Issues: March Roll The Dice

Hi Creatives!

Time for another of my favourite Paper Issues challenges,

This month the dice determined that we would use 3 different washi tapes on our creations as well as only 2 photos!
What a great challenge!
Here's what I created,

"Love"

Love this so much! A beautiful memory here....
I've used the gorgeous American Crafts: 1Canoe2: Hazelwood collection for my entire layout. Yes, even those three gorgeous washi tapes are from Hazelwood! Perfect!
How stunning is the floral tape?!!! All.the.heart.eyes for it!

Speaking of love, how gorgeous is that cork title......

Just stunning! Love the gold heart clip, & the foiled ephemera one too!
Here's another view.....

And how could I not mention those pretty florals!!!
That globe is just divine!

Love this collection so much!
