Imaginarium Designs: Hello, LOVE!

Happy February Creative Friends!

Didn't January disappear fast?!!
I hope you liked meeting the new Imaginarium Designs DT & seeing their fabulously creative talents on show -
I know that they definitely inspired me!
Speaking of inspiration.....

Feburary is all about the LOVE for me!
So for today's post, I have put together a few gorgeous Valentine's Day inspired creations for you - combining my favourite chippies with Crate Paper's, Hello LOVE collection.
Enjoy!

First up, I have this way too adorable layout of sibling love at it's best......

"Totally ADORBS"

I know, how darling is that photo?!!
Nothing more wonderful than seeing your children snuggling in together for a hug!
These two are just the most connected siblings - they really do adore one another - and yes, they are totally ADORBS!

Because their love is so innocent and sweet, I've kept to a clean, white background and design. I've used my chipboard discreetly to gently embellish and draw you into that sweet photograph.

Let's take a closer look at those chippies.....

Natalie's hand drawn hearts are a firm favourite of mine. They're such a fun and delicate addition to any page! I've inked mine in berry pink to coordinate with the pink blooms in that pretty patterned paper. I've used the same treatment on the chipboard word, 'totally' too.

And how about these wispy black flourishes?!

Just gorgeous, huh?
To compliment the black watercolour leaves in the paper, I've lightly sprayed the flourishes in Kaisermist: Charcoal, to create a similar look.
A really cool result!

Next up, I have another super sweet sibling love page......

"This."

Oh where to begin?!
 I just love memory keeping!
This is an old photo I came across on my Google Photos daily reminders - hard to believe that this is almost 3 years ago now!
Anyways, so pleased I was reminded of it! I just had to re-scrap it immediately!
That lil birdies frame is just DIVINE  and perfect for my two baby birds!
Let's take a closer look......

Oh Yeah! That frame. Just Aaahmazing!!!!
I've used that very same berry pink ink again for some of the hearts, and for part of the frame.
The top section of the frame has been embossed in Zing! Glitter Embossing Powder in Gold - isn't the two tone effect just stunning?!!
A really cool effect to try on your chipboards!
I've used the gold glitter stickers and gold foil ephemera from Hello LOVE to partner perfectly with my golden frame; making it a real feature of my layout.

For my title, I've used some of those cute alphas and inked them in matte black for a striking, bold finish. The Loolabelle Arrows are inked in Kaisercraft: Island, to pick up on the teal highlights in the patterned paper geometric hearts.

But what about my Valentine?
Well, I haven't forgotten him - here's a lovely card just to say how much I care....

"Happy Valentines Day" Card

Soooooooo pretty!
I've used a super sweet bird heart frame that is a new release chipboard coming soon.....
I know, gotta love new chippie designs!!!
I really loved the gold on my previous layout, but this time I used Bo Bunny: Glitter Paste. I love this stuff! If you haven't tried it on your chipboards yet, you MUST! It is simply amazing, and so easy to apply.
But enough chattering!
Thanks for stopping by to see my February creations with our favourite chipboard!
I hope you enjoyed my post and feel inspired too!

til next time,

Happy Valentines Day!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: The Best

Hello Happy Arty Days Friends!
How's your 2016 Summer holidays?
I've been trying to keep up-to-date with printing and scrapping my photos... LOL!
Let's be honest, I'm still playing catch up on last year's memories! But I have been using the new Hello Sunshine collection to record it all ;)
Here's a peak at one of my fave photos (& now layout) from 2015 -
"The best"
2015-12-19 13.40.04
I know, where do I start?! So many lovelies going on here!
Sweet Summer Days indeed!
I love all the brightly coloured pattern papers in Hello Sunshine, that I wanted to show them off a lil more. As in, both sides of the papers on the one page. So I guess I tried to channel some origami paper folding love with the SOLAR FLARE paper.
HELLO SUNSHINE | SOLAR FLARE PAPER | CV-HS002
I also really love the fun & playfulness of the patterns too - so I just had to feature the paper CHILL OUT
HELLO SUNSHINE | CHILL OUT PAPER | CV-HS004
Very cool! & tons of fun for my happy subjects!
Here's a closer look at that faux origami....
2016-01-01 11.55.48
Yes, I did 'staple' it into place. I do like the odd staple.... OK, I totally LOVE using my stapler on my scrapbook layouts! It not only holds things in perfect position, but also adds a more relaxed and fun feel. Staples can also create interest, texture and dimension. Anyways, moving on from the stapling, I also tucked a couple ticket stub stickers, journal sticker and an enamel shape under the fold. This really draws attention to that cute fold. Love it!
Let's take a closer look at some of the other pretty embellishments I've used today....
2016-01-01 11.54.15
Puffy stickers. Need I say more?! How fabulous are those puffy script words - LOVE!!!
I am also loving those super pretty blooms, the colours are just stunning! But it's the wood veneers that have me on this layout - Sooooooooooo COOL! (that bicycle is just awesome sauce!!!)
2016-01-01 11.52.40
And let's not forget those sweet embellishments that really create a 'finished' look for all your layouts; Fancy ButtonsWoodies and Enamel Shapes.
Yep. I may be behind in my Summer scrapping, but with a collection being this easy to create with, it wont take me long to fill an album :)
Loving Hello Sunshine, and I am sure you will too!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Simply The Best

Hi Creative Friends!
Welcome back for more Hello Sunshine inspiration!
I totally love this collection - so bright and fun, it's perfect for all our happy Summer moments!
And here's a classic moment of mine to share with you today...
"Simply The Best"
2016-01-01 11.45.36
That face!
I mean, could he get any cuter?!!
Makes me smile everytime I see this picture!  & isn't she that most darling big sister?! So beautiful!
And what better way to capture this moment than with Hello Sunshine! Modern, contemporary, bright & so very happy!  A perfect match!
Hello Sunshine is also quite gender neutral and ideal for scrapping our gorgeous girls and boys together!
I am totally loving the typewriter font word paper that I've used as an accent in my layout...
HELLO SUNSHINE | HAPPY DAYS PAPER | CV-HS003
Super cool paper, huh?! And because it is such a bold design it works so well as an embellishing feature paper!
The paper beneath HAPPY DAYS coordinates perfectly - the same colours are repeated in the pattern - but the tiny triangles ensure that this paper is much more suitable as a solid background paper.
This paper is a real staple in the Hello Sunshine collection, and forms the reverse side of SUNNY SPOT
HELLO SUNSHINE | SUNNY SPOT PAPER | CV-HS006
Both papers are beautifully coordinated, and so easy to embellish with the gorgeous array of embellishments available in Hello Sunshine.
Let's start by taking a closer look at some of the fabulous diecut ephemera pieces.....
2016-01-01 11.44.21
Those flowers! Just divine!!!
2016-01-01 11.43.07
And how cute are those striped hearts?! Really easy to put pages together when everything is so perfectly matched!
Sooooooo loving that little resin heart too...
The Little Hearts are another of those divine 'accent' pieces that really make your layouts complete!
CV-HS017a
Just so dang cute!!!
Here's another closer look......
2016-01-01 11.42.04
Oh! How good do the enamel shapes look with the Little Hearts?!
& again, that EPHEMERA steals the show with its super cool script words, 'hello happy'!
To make my words really noticeable on the white cardstock, I added a lil blue drippy ink & some staples. This really added another fun & playful element, but also ensured my subtitle remained a focal point. Cool, huh?!
Hello Sunshine is a super fun collection!
It's so cleverly designed and coordinated that even a simple layout design, like this one today, can look so amazing!
But that's enough chattering from me,
I hope my layout has inspired you to get creating with Hello Sunshine soon!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a looksee!
til next time,
Happy Arty Days,
Amanda xo
