I found it really hard to choose a favourite collection from 2017!
I am truly such a die hard fan of all Pinkfresh Studio's modern and contemporary collections!
In the end, I chose the December Days line because it would have to be my favourite Christmas collection from all the scrapbook manufacturers. Yep, I LOVE it that much!
So without further ado, here's my December Days layout.....

"Merry Everything"

Oh how awesome is this?!!
I was totally inspired by all the beautiful gift wrapping that Rebecca Luminarias shares with us in the Pinkfresh Studio: Wrapped With Love class kit!
Just stunning!
I have used patterned paper CANDY CANES as my base, and then a wonderful array of embellishments, frames, and journal cards, all lovingly layered together.
Let's take a closer look.....

Oh those luscious layers!!!
I start with the gift ribbon and a doily from my stash, & then commence to 'build up' that photo cluster with GOLD FOILED CHIPBOARD FRAMES, and DIE CUT tags. I then embellish my photograph with PUFFY STICKERS, GOLD FOIL WOOD VENEERS, and that Share The Merry ephemera - which has been fussy cut from the 3 x 4 JOURNAL CARDS.To make the ephemera appear more like a gift tag, I add a lil red handmade tassel beneath it. Super cute!

Here's a better look at it.....

 Love it!
And speaking of love, how good is that sub-title PUFFY STICKER, Merry Everything?!!

For finishing touches, I add that sweet ornament DIE CUT to top of my 'gift', and embellish around the photo cluster with red PUFFY STICKER stars, gold sequins and CHIPBOARD ALPHA STICKERS. I use the letter "O" tucked under my photo layers - such a fun idea!

And there you have it!
My favourite December Days layout!
I hope it has inspired you to scrap some of those wonderful Christmas Day photographs!

December Days is all about documenting the those December holiday happenings. It beautifully coordinates bold, striking colours with soft and delicate tones.
As my layout is all about my daughter & I preparing for Christmas
- Eeeep! Yes that's me in the photo -
I wanted to create a page that was really feminine and soft.
Here's what I came up with.....

"Christmas Is Coming"

Oh this is just the prettiest!!!
I have used that divine pink with gold foiled everything, and added soft grey and red accents to my layout. The result is just so delicate! I LOVE this colour combination!
That oh so pretty pink pattern paper is the B side of CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - it would hands down be my most loved colour in this collection! That subtle grey paper is called CHRISTMAS MAGIC and is also pretty special! They both offer the appearance of falling snow, and lend to all the snowflake embellishments that I've featured on this page.
I have used the 3 x 4 FOILED JOURNALING CARDS (the ones with the snowflakes of course! ) and placed them on either side of my sweet photo.
Here's a closer look for you......

That card is just stunning!
And so are all the gold foiled DIE CUTS, CARDSTOCK STICKERS,
WOODGRAIN STICKERS & those super cute CHIPBOARD ALPHA STICKER stars!
The repetition of snowflakes and stars really builds that sense of Winter Wonderland!

My sweet photograph has been mounted on the GOLD FOILED CHIPBOARD FRAME snowflake................

You'll also notice a very subtle stencil snowflake beneath the mounted photo & frame - so pretty!
I have also used the same paint for 'snow drops' on my page.
Speaking of snowflakes, how about those incredible PUFFY & FOILED WOODGRAIN STICKERS?!! With such an intricate design on them, they really have that WOW factor!
The use of wooden embellishments, including the WOODEN BUTTONS adds warmth to the cooler colour palette. The tiny accents of red have the same effect, bringing balance and interest to the overall design.

Pretty colours, golden everything and snowflakes galore = Christmas Perfection!
La la LOVE it all!
And I hope my layout has inspired you too!

Paper Issues:December Try It Tuesday!

Hi Paper Loving Friends!

Can you believe it's the last month of the year already?!!
Let's make it a December to Remember with this month's edition of Paper Issues

This month let's use up all those ends of papers, paper strips and even the printed barcode strips of papers to create with!

Suggested Ideas include:

Create a shape such as a star, heart, or snowflake with your paper strips
Stitch your strips together then die cut out a shape or tag
Paper piece a cut file shape with strips
 Create multiple borders or frames
Make a diagonal feature of strips in your background

I'm sure you'll have tons of creative uses for these strips!

I had so much fun creating for this challenge, here's what I came up with,

"JOY"

JOY indeed! Snow much fun!
I've used the gorgeous Pinkfresh Studio: December Days collection for my sweet Christmas page.
I had quite a few off cuts and left over papers from the 6 x 6 Paper Pad to use up from this line.
As I was creating a Christmas layout, I took inspiration from my background patterned paper Ornaments, and decided to create my own paper strip Christmas trees! SO cool!
I just LOVE how effective the paper strip trees look!
Here's a closer look for you.....

To add to the impact, I decorated my trees with sequin stars, Die Cut ornaments, and even popped a few presents (Puffy Stickers) under the trees.

How awesome is that Chipboard Frame too?! Loving it all!

Pinkfresh Studio: December Days & Christmas Cheer!

Hi Paper Loving Friends!

Welcome back for a lil Pinkfresh Studio Christmas cheer!
When I first received the gorgeous December Days collection it was like Christmas at my place!
I just adore the pretty color palette and with so many sweet embellishments & fresh pattern designs December Days made my day!
You see, I'm not much of a Christmas scrapbooker.
I prefer to enjoy the moment rather than be capturing it on camera- but I do have a few special pics from last year.....
And with December Days being oh so special, well....
I just had to share a few of our more personal memories with you.
Here's my first layout with this stunning line.....

"A December To Remember"

Oh my! Isn't he the cutest?!!
There's a super sweet story to this page and it's about a little boy who discovered that "eating Santa's walking sticks is yummy", lol! (love that he calls candy canes Santa's walking sticks)
He literally became a peppermint addict over night - love everything peppermint is the perfect sentiment for this photo!
And with mint being so fresh it seemed only fitting that this page be clean in design.
Simple but oh-so effective!
I also took inspiration from his cute star t-shirt, and used the pretty STARRY NIGHT pattern paper as my background. I love how it brings the page together!

The 6 x 6 PAPER PACK is perfect for creating layers beneath your photographs. To add more interest and dimension, I've used a few sweet DIE CUTS between those layers and embellished the photo cluster with those divine WOODEN BUTTONS.

For finishing touches, I have scattered a few WOOD STICKER & PUFFY STICKER stars - perfect! And that PHRASE STICKER unties it all!Sweet, and fresh just like the peppermint story!(and very special to my heart!)For my second layout I have opted for a softer, more delicate style. It's a very cute page of my two darlings, after dressing the Christmas tree....

 "December Traditions"

Isn't this pretty?!! And what could be more traditional than trimming the tree and having that first impromptu photo in front of it? Life moment captured!I instantly fell in love with the B side of pattern paper, CHRISTMAS LIGHTS, and knew I'd have to make a feature of it! That pink is just oh-so delicate!
I also really wanted to use those 3 x 4 JOURNALING CARDS WITH FOIL ACCENTS in a non pocket page style. You'll spy the gold confetti card as the matte for my sweet photo, thus lending the design  to lots of gold embellishing.
In particular, that incredible FOILED WOODGRAIN STICKER title - so stunning!
Here's a closer look at it.....

It really is something!
And the warmth of the veneer and gold adds balance to all that pale pink too! Impressive to say the least!
You'll spy more veneer in those sweet WOODEN BUTTONS & lots of pretty DIE CUTS!
I just love those intricate snowflakes!
To add balance to the vertical design, I've started and ended the 'line' with matching sentiment banners, as well as coordinating sentiment squares....

Time for magic, indeed!
Such a pretty page to document December! I hope you have enjoyed seeing a very personal side of my creating, and feel inspired to celebrate your Christmas memories with Pinkfresh Studio December Days!
