Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Love Always Double Layout & A Class!

Hi Cocoa Vanilla Studio Friends!
Welcome back! Today I am super-dee-duper excited to be sharing my first creation with the all NEW
This collection is just so incredibly pretty that my only words for it are 'swoon' and 'sigh' - it's that stunning!
Needless to say, I immediately fell head over heels with Love Always!
So, instead of creating one layout for you today, I've created two! And the clever part, they also work as a double layout! But enough chatter, here they are.....
"Love Is the Closest Thing We Have To Magic"
Love Always Double layout
I know, sweetness overload! Could this collection be anymore delicate and divine?!! I don't even know where to start - it's just SO precious!
So many pretty elements and those pattern papers; swoon!!!
I've used the reverse side of Twin Set (that fine stripes paper) as the neutral base for both my pages, but then opted for a pretty pink paper for my girl page (Class Act) and a soft blue paper for my boy (Note To Self). I've connected both pages with even cut apart pieces from the Lovely Things paper too! Simply stunning!
Despite the two layouts mirroring one another, there are a few different features on them - so let's take a look at each one individually. Let's start with ladies first.....
Love Always1
*sigh* Isn't this darling?! She is such my little lady!
I am a bit of a sucker for soft, delicate girly layouts. The soft pinks, those vellum shapes and chipboard stickers are just so pretty I can't take my eyes off of them! You stole my heart indeed!
How intricate (& divinely gorgeous) is the vellum doily......
love always2I love the tiny heart details in the doily which compliment the hearts throughout Love Always. A very sweet detail!
The chipboard stickers are my new favourite embellishment though - just look at those frames I've layered with my photo! And that geometric heart is too cute!
love always3
You'll spy lots of vellum blooms on this layout too! So very sweet and delicate - a bit like my subject in the photograph!
As for all those sequins, blingy bits, resin roses and button - they all come from the Bits & Pieces embellishment packet. An absolute must have item as it has a lil bit of everything in it for adding that special finishing touch to your creations.
love always4The 'You stole my heart' and 'Always' cards have been cut from the patterned paper Lovely Things. These would be fabulous for pocket page scrapbookers too!
And how about that sweet cluster at the bottom of my layout.....
love always5Oh that's pretty! That tiny rose bud just accentuates those gorgeous vellum blooms - LOVE!
"Love is the closest thing we have to magic" has been snipped in half and shared across the two layouts to keep them connected and relative to each other. Speaking of other layout, here it is.....
love always6Isn't he just aodrable?!! He always has me at hello! As this is the masculine version of my pretty girl page, I've added more depth of colour to the mixed media background, and featured the blues (and more of the greys) through the embellishments. How sweet is that chipboard sticker flag? And those frames are all kinds of awesome!
love always7I've still used a little bling on the page from the Bits & Pieces embellishment packet, but opting for more dots over hearts. I'm also using a few stars in the chippie stickers to add a bit of balance too!
How cool is the lower cluster too?! I've used the coordinating "O" sticker to keep with the circles and dots on the page - but also to connect the two pages with an "XO" .....
love always8
Love that striped button, and how sweet is that tiny vellum heart? I mean, seriously there are ombre hearts in the vellum shapes!!! Loving it all!!!
With the dots / circles being a bit of a minor theme on this layout, I also used a couple of the grey dots vellum pieces too....
love always9 Again, I've used the Lovely Things cards to connect the two pages, and I have to say I am loving that patterned paper - so versatile!
Here's a better look at some of those chipboard stickers.....
love always That geo heart flag?!!! OMG - it's too cute!!! Gosh I am love, love, loving LOVE ALWAYS!
Want to create these two stunning pages yourself? (or find out what products I used to create those subtle backgrounds?)
Well, I am teaching both layouts in the one class at Seriously Scrapbooking (South Australia) on:

Imaginarium Designs: July Creations

Hi Creatives!

Today I am sharing a sweet sibling love page, as well as another of my upcoming class layouts on the Imaginarium Designs blog!

I love intricacy of our chippie designs, but even more than that, I love the versatility of
Imaginarium Designs Chipboard!
It really doesn't matter what you're creating the chippies always embellish and complete a project beautifully!
The brand new Fancy Pants Designs: Millie & June collection is a super sweet Mother/Grandmda/Sister range & instantly made me think of the chipboard phrase,
"S is for Sister my forever friend" - I think it coordinated just perfectly......

"S is for Sister"

Yep. That chipboard phrase/title is just awesome!
You'll also spy the Imaginarium Designs Chipboard bunting banner on this layout too!
Two very simple chipboard pieces that really bring the page together and maximise effect. I've drawn on the Millie & June colour palette to inspire the treatment on this chipboard - lots of Gold and Royal Blue Versa Inks - love it!
Let's take a closer look....

Talk about intricate cuts - how fabulously cut is that phrase?!!! A gorgeous font and the gold inky finish is divine!

I've used a gold puffy sticker as a sub-title to support the sister phrase as the main heading on this layout.

I love how this bunting connects my photgraphs & draws you into that sweet ephemera and flair cluster. Too cool!

I love the two-tone effect on the bunting / flag banner, and it was so easy to do! Simply 'mask' the area to be protected with a piece of paper and ink away. Allow ink to dry and repeat the process on the opposite side. Such a fun and playful way to embellish your layouts!

Next up, I have two separate layouts that also work as a double layout too!
A girl and boy version for my two darlings!

I know, how cool is this?!!!
A bit of mixed media delight combined with our favourite chippies and Cocoa Vanilla Studio's: Colour Me Happy collection. Love!

Let's take a closer look at each page individually......
"Love this"

Love this: boy, photo, attitude, memory, love it all! The new chipboard design 'lovethis' is just too easy to create with! I coated mine in black ink, and then applied Glitzin' Glamour in Black to give it more texture, dimension and lift. Very cool!

The handrawn crosses have been inked in black and aqua, and are a perfect adornment to a boy page!

Let's take a look at the girly version....

"Chase Your Dreams"

I know, so cool huh?!  Incredible texture and colours in that background !
And yes, that's another amazing new phrase chipboard; just loving all the new designs!

Just like its partner page, I've coated the title (and one of the hearts) in black ink and Glitzin Glamour in black. I love the finish it gives!
The remaining chippies have either the matte black ink finish or petal pink. Here's a closer view....

Love it! And how stunning are the mixed media backgrounds I've created on these two layouts?!
If you like the look, and want to learn the technique,
or if you just want to create this double layout
I'm teaching it on Saturday 23rd July 10am at Seriously Scrapbooking

Imaginarium Designs: May Creations - Double Layouts

Hi Imaginarium Designs Friends!

Welcome back for another super-filled, fun month of chipboard inspiration!

Today I am sharing a few layouts which I am lucky enough to be teaching at the
Seriously Scrapbooking store.

First up, my double layout class featuring the gorgeous
Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Free Spirit collection...

Aren't they sweet?! Such fabulous painty backgrounds that are a ton of fun to create!
Let's look at each page individually though, as they're also designed to be stand alone layouts too!

"#Awesome"

Isn't he the coolest?! Truly suits his title - awesome!!! Such a fun lil guy & how he loves to ride his scooter!
It's hard to believe that Free Spirit is a feminine collection, huh?!
To create a more 'boy' look I have carefully selected chipboard that coordinates with the Free Spirit die cut ephemera, but also screams boy!
Cogs, bicycles, & stars - just perfect!
And a gorgeous blend of blues, yellowing golds, and greens for the painty background!
Let's take a closer look.....

The bicycle chippie is an old favourite of mine! With Free Spirit having a navy bike ephemera, it seemed only appropriate that I stamp this one up in a royal blue ink. Just enough point of difference and yet, partnered so perfectly!
And how cool is that hashtag word, #awesome ?!! Love it! Really fun, and contemporary! I inked mine in matte black for a bold finish!

Here's a closer look at the cog and stars....

To maintain a boy feel, I emphasized the stars by adding a few into the background with texture paste. I coated my chippie stars, and cog, in gold ink. I then continued the stars feature with a navy die cut star layered onto the cog. Very cool!

Here's my darling daughter version....

"#Wonderful"

So pretty!!! Love this! The colours are just divine!
Again, I've drawn my chipboard choices from the Free Spirit collection. I was especially inspired by that navy die cut butterfly - so naturally, I had to choose those intricate butterfly chippies!
And to tie in with my boy layout, I've used a hashtag word for the title too!
Here's a closer peak....

As this is the more delicate of the two layouts, I avoided black ink for my title. Instead, I've used that yellowing gold ink that featured on the stars on the opposite page. Stunning!
And how beautiful are those butterflies?!!

Gold ink for the larger one that supports my sweet photograph, and royal blue for the smaller one...

Just the most exquisitely cut chipboard! Divine!!!
To maintain the girl feel to this page, I used some very pretty pinks for my blended background. Otherwise, it's a very complimentary layout to my awesome boy one.

My final layout that I am sharing with you today is actually my June double layout class!
You'll remember my boy version, "Little Treasure" that I recently created for the baby theme post a few months ago. Well, it was so popular that I decided to create a lil Miss version and make it my next double layout.
But enough talking, here they are.....

I know, does it get anymore divine?!
How heavenly sweet!

Let's take a better look at my pink one.....

"Little Cutie"

Such a super sweet and delicate baby girl page!
I've featured some really lovely chipboard here and given it a soft, gentle look with creamy lemons, and baby pink tones....

Like the boy version, I've used Studio Fouteen40 flair, Labels, & Cutz, and that stunning Kaisercraft lace template to create my page with. But it's the chipboard that is undoubtedly the star of both these layouts!
I've used solid white embossing powder on my title and birdy heart, and embellished both with flair and delicate blooms.
Here's another view....

Just sooooooo pretty!
And how cute is that lemon painted bird?!!

Love how delicate this is! Swoon!!!
I've used Versa Ink: Petal Pink on those gorgeous handrawn hearts too....

Love the sequin finish on the lemon heart - just enough bling without being harsh!
This is love indeed!
