Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Happy, So Happy!

Hi Creative Friends!
Today I am sharing a super soft and delicate girly page on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog!
"Happy, So Happy"
CVS FREE SPIRIT HAPPY1
Hello Gorgeous, indeed!
Isn't this the prettiest?!!! Such a divine colour palette with a sweet twist of fun and frivolity!
I've used the gorgeously feminine Free Spirit collection and teamed it up with some Hello Lovely sequins to  complete the look.
I have been
hoarding - Ahem - 'saving' that DREAMY CV-FS002 patterned paper for so long now! It nearly killed me to cut it up, but gee, I am glad I did! I fussy cut a few of the bubbles to emphasise the flow of the page, it's soooo delicate & perfect for my sweet girl! I matted that sweet photograph onto a few layers of the ECLECTIC CV-FS006 paper (both sides) as it's quite subtle and works with the softness of my design. The other items I have been 'saving', as they're just too cute to use, are all those pineapples!!!
Let's take a closer look....
CVS FREE SPIRIT HAPPY2
Pineapple Stickers, pineapple WoodiesEphemeraWood Veneers....Yep, it's safe to say, I have pineapple LOVE! And these pretty embellishments are just the sweetest!
Infact, there are just so many wonderful coordinating products in the Free Spirit collection, it's just a lil too easy to pull a page together.
CVS FREE SPIRIT HAPPY3
How totally perfect is that resin Little Heart?!! And the 'So Happy' and scallop trim are so well cut it's hard to believe that they're stickers! Honestly, all the embellishments in Free Spirit make me swoon!
CVS FREE SPIRIT HAPPY4
How fabulous is the gold glitter font on the flair button? And yes, more pineapples! I just love how the Wood Veneers are printed and maintain the pineapple skin pattern on them. Very cool!
So, if you love Pina-Colodas or pineapples in general, you NEED to get creating with Free Spirit!
I hope you loved my page of pastel prettiness as much as I do!

Echo Park: Petticoats & Pinstripes Fun!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all having a scrap-tastic day!

Today I am sharing my recent creations for Shop & Crop Scrapbooking!
I was lucky enough to receive the super fun
Echo Park: Petticoats & Pinstripes collection to play with!
This paper collection is seriously cool & on the 'must have' list - but rather than rave, let me show you what I'm talking about....
(oh, and by the way; I only had a few sheets of this paper & some loose pieces of ephemera to play with - so imagine how good it is when you purchase the entire collection. Note to self: buy more, you love it! ;)  )
Here's my first page...

"You are my HERO"

I know, such a cool boy page, huh?! I am totally loving the primary colours featured in the palette for this Echo Park collection - strong, bold, & striking! Perfect for scrapping my boy with! Let's take a closer look....

Lol. Love this photo - too cute! And yes, he really is my lil hero!
The die cut ephemera in this range are quite fun too - I adore that DREAM BIG File Tab!
My title is also made from the ephemera too...

I used a few staples to connect my bunting title, & to also add a little more interest with a metal hardware look ;) A really simple, but effective touch for our masculine layouts. SO cool!
Speaking of cool, here is my second layout with Petticoats and Pinstripes,

"What An Adventure"

LOL! Talk about fun - this lil guy cracks me up
& is honestly our Greatest Adventure by far!
For this layout, I've teamed up this collection with a couple of the new Travel: Wooden Shapes from Kaisercraft & some Cocoa Vanilla Studio: sequins - both of which are available in the store now too!
But let's take a closer view of those awesome Pinstripes papers...

It's just gorgeous paper to play with! My title, "What An Adventure" has been fussy cut from one of the prints in the Journal Cards paper & adhered with mounted tape. Love how effective it looks!
The base paper has that warm vintage feel to it, and lends itself to those muted blues and bright reds! And I do love a little wooden shape or two to embellish with...

How cute are those ephemera pieces?! Such fun!
You can see why I'll be rushing back to the store to buy the complete collection kit...

I know - I NEED it all!

Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Together Always

Hi Cocoa Vanilla Studio Friends!
How amazing has the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Colour Me Happy collaboration with
Faber-Castell been?!!
Talk about total inspiration overload!
I know that I have been blown away with the DTs creations on the Cocoa Vanilla Studio blog, and am super excited to be sharing mine today!
So without further chatter, here's my layout,
"Together Always"
IMG_20160605_133040
I know, isn't that photo just darling?! I love how much these two really adore and care for one another!
And how awesome is that background with our pretty digital cut files?!!
So many lovelies to chat about here!
Let's start at the beginning; that sweet, watercoloured backing layer.
I've used patterned paper CV-CH004 Doodle Dandy as I just adore the intricate floral pattern. I've carefully coloured each corner with Faber-Castell's watercolour pencils, in warm tones. Next, with a fine tip brush, I painted over the top with water, to create that cool effect. Such a pretty result & so easy to do!
As for that totally  AAAHmazing pink tonal background, I used my all time favourite Faber-Castell products - Gelatos!
IMG_20160605_133750
I used the 2 pink colours in the Gelatos: Mix N Match Set: Red. To achieve this look, crush a small slice of the Gelato into modeling paste with a palette knife, and work the Gelato until the pigment has completely blended into the paste. Use the palette knife to apply to the cardstock in both horizontal and vertical sweeping strokes. Once dry, repeat process with the coordinating colour and apply where you want to create highlights or points of  interest. Super simple, but so effective! That colour is just divine!
Speaking of divine, let's not forget those cut files! Seriously the coolest!!!
IMG_20160605_133611
To highlight the files, and to bring a lil colour balance to the page design, I've used patterned paper CV-CH005 Leaf Litter reverse side (citrus green) to 'fill' the leaves. A little touch that really helps to make the page 'pop'. I am loving those Wood Veneer Words too! The natural wood adds balance to the bulk white and pastels of the layout, and it's cursive script is just too fun! The XO Flair Button is a perfect finishing touch, and draws you into that sweet photo.
IMG_20160605_133902
A sweet Snip-Its adds a subtitle, 'LOVE' ,and the black and white stripes pattern balance all that pretty pink. A few more Snip-Its aid as some minor journaling too. Awesome! The final embellishments are a few scattered Enamel Dots (Warm), always a versatile embellishment to complete a look.
And there you have it! A really striking layout that was just too easy to create!
I hope you'll give this look a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Imaginarium Designs: June Creations

Hi Creative Friends!

Today I am sharing a couple sweet layouts that I created for Imaginarium Designs this month....

"You Make Me Smile"

Isn't she gorgeous?!! Growing up far too quickly!
Such pretty girl deserves a pretty page...
I've combined Pink Paislee's Fancy Free collection, & Studio Fourteen40's flair with our favourite chipboard to create this stunning layout. I love the warmth that the yellow painterly background creates. As the yellow is such an enormous POP of colour, I've treated all chipboard to a white finish to maintain a lil delicacy and femininity to the page.
Let's take a closer look.....

To get such a solid white finish, I gave the chipboard 3 coats of Versa Ink in White.
How amazing is that title?!

No surprise when I tell you that this NEW release chippie title is from the very talented Natalie May - SO cool!!!
You'll also spy that I've use a generous sprinkling of superfine Glitter Snow to the texture paste. This is so that the flat white matte finish on the chipboard is more striking. It becomes more visible...

Those gorgeous flourishes are also from the Designer collection too!

You can find them here:

My second layout that I am sharing with you today is all about my super cool boy,

"Never Grow UP"

I know, can he get any cuter?!!! Such an awesome lil guy that we totally adore!
I've used another fabulous NEW release chippie title, Never Grow UP. This new title is perfect for scrapbooking those beautiful little people in your lives.
As my page is all about my awesome boy, I've used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Made of Awesome collection. That sunburst pattern paper is partnered with our Arrows -  to really draw your eye into my special photograph.
Let's take a closer look at those stunning chippies....

How cool is that title?!! Iv'e used black and gold inks to make it pop, and stapled it in place to add to the fun feel.  Also the silver staples and sequins help to balance all that gold too....

Aren't the arrows just awesome?! I coated mine in coloured inks (red, yellow, green & blue) & then I gave them a semi coat in gold ink ensuring some of the colour was still visible. Very cool!
Here's a couple closer views...

The gold is just a tad too brassy, so it partners perfectly with that cute camera charm too!
Love how everything works so well together!

Amazing boy indeed!

"JOURNEY"

IMG_20160526_132633

This layout has been inspired (& part scrap lifted) by my friends at Paper Issues, and makes great use of all those wooden flourish shapes & stickers. Scrap The Boys: Black & White Fun!

Hi Happy Arty Days Friends!

Wow! June already?!!
Where does the time go?
On a happy note though, it does mean time for a new challenge over at

Here's what this month's challenge looks like.....

Yep! It's a black n white frenzy!!! SO cool!
Nothing like a lil monochromatic palette to inspire!
Here's my take on it....

"Totally RAD"

Oh I love this cool kid!!!
To make him a feature in that sea of black, white and grey I used a colour photograph to make him 'pop' off the page. Such a groover in those sunnies!
I've used the Cocoa Vanilla Studio: Totally Rad collection to create this page - and isn't it perfect for the challenge?!!

Even the stickers, enamel dots and wooden buttons are a match! Too cool!
You can check out the entire collection here.

But enough from me, I'd love to see your take on this super fun challenge too!
To get started, & to see what the rest of the DT created click here.
