Couture Creations December Project #2

Hello again everyone!

Welcome back for more Couture Creations delights!
For my second December project
I have this gorgeous, romantic tag to share with you!

Super sweet & makes for lovely gift tag too!

Here's how to re-create this beauty in only a few quick steps....

Start with the 2 largest Nesting Dies: Scallop Rectangle, Vintage Rose Garden paper & Kraft cardstock. Run through your die-cutting machine (as shown above).

Adhere scallop rectangles, then using a small Nesting Dies: Oval, run through your machine to get the same result as featured above.

Using soft pink cardstock, prepare the Vintage Rose Intricutz Die: Vintage Border.

Attach border as shown above.

Embellish with tulle, butterfly & small rose.
Pearls add a finishing touch both above and below the butterfly.

Complete with ribbon and pearl trim.
Voila!
A really romantic, super pretty tag that is just to simple not to try at home!

Thanks for visiting today,
til next time,

Happy Arty Days,

Here is some last minute Christmas card inspiration using some of the wonderful
Imaginarium Designs chipboard....

A really earthy, rustic look for Christmas this year,
loving that corrugated cardboard too!

Let's take a closer look at that stunning chipboard......

Black ink and gold glitter enhance this chipboard phrase.

How gorgeous is this?!!
I am really partial to that natural old world Christmas feel -
Kaisercraft's, Yuletide Collection has worked wonders with these cards!
& again,
How cool is that chipboard?!!
This time the phrase is coated in solid gold glitter and the frame has been inked in black.
Lots of gesso and distressing - love it!

Well there you have it!
Early Christmas celebrations for me!
Thankyou for all your support & and amazing comments!

Hope you liked my last minute xmas cards!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Paper Wings Productions: Guest Designer

Hi Everyone!
Thanks for stopping by!

Today I'm guesting over at the Paper Wings Productions blog, The Aviary
for Scrapbook Saturday!

& I am sharing this super fun mixed media layout!

Hope you like it.....

"Treasured Memories" layout

I love this! So bright, fun and oh-so-cool too!
Lots of mixed media juiciness here! & how cool are those stamps?!!!
So  do you want to know how I created this lil number?
Well, it's so easy I can guarantee you'll be giving it a go!
Here's how.......

On white 12 x 12in cardstock
position a stencil/template and apply texture paste.
Heat gun dry, then colour with Tropical 4pk Gelatos, as shown above.

Activate gelatos with water (paintbrush or spray bottle works well)
& adhere chipboard elements.
I always choose Imaginarium Designs chipboard for my creations.

Coat chipboard thoroughly with gelatos, and this time activate with a coloured misting spray.
Allow colours to run!!!

Once dry, commence the stampy inky fun!
For boldness & a super striking effect,
I used a black permanent ink for all my stamp work on this layout.
I started by stamping my background with Art Textures Stamp Set in random repeated patterns
(as shown above)

Because this page is all about my two darlings
- my lil prince and princess -
I couldn't help but use the Crowns Stamp Set.
This stamp embellishes my page perfectly! Too cute!

I then randomly stamped both the heart stamps from the
Say It - Thanks Clear Stamp Set.
As you can see, it really adds to the layout.

Next, I attached my chipboard framed photo, and embellished it with a few blooms.
I used a lil black gesso on my title, and attached to page.
For my final finishing touches I added a few strands of frayed muslin.

And Voila!

That's how I created this super cute, inky, messy, fun layout!
Told you it was super easy!
Hope you'll try it today!

Thankyou & happy stamping!

'til next time,

Happy Arty Days,
Amanda xo

Couture Creations November Creation #2

Welcome back everyone!

My second Couture Creations post for the month is a super-cool technique that is so on trend,
Shaker Cards!!!

I know, soooo much fun here!

You may have seen this Christmas card that I created for Issue 5 of Creative Inspirations Magazine, using the Merry Little Christmas Intricutz Die: Christmas Stocking.....

I created ‘negative space’ with my die to create ‘windows’ for my patterned paper.
Today I am using that same technique to create this fun Christmas Shaker Card!

Here’s how…..

1. Using your new Couture Creations Trimmer, prepare your white cardstock
-8 x 6”, score & fold in half.
- 3 ¾ x 5 ¾” & adhere to cardstock, as shown.

3. Select your Couture Creations die; I used the Christmas Stocking. (It’s a great fit lengthwise & it’s also a bit of fun - perfect for a shaker card!) Fold your card so that the patterned paper is facing down onto the die, and the back of the card is tucked under the die & run it through your die-cutting machine a few times. Re-position die and repeat, as shown.

4. Place a handful of sequins into a glassine (or cello) bag, seal and attach to inner side of card.

5. Add a sentiment & some of those fabulous gemstones to embellish!

Shake and enjoy!!!!

Such a simple technique, but what a great effect!
(& your children will love making & shaking these cards too!)

I hope I have inspired you to give shaker cards a go!
Thanks for stopping by,
